As Virginia lawmakers prepare to pass a draconian gun control bill that would make most guns in the state illegal, Tazewell County has formed an official active militia as per the Second Amendment to the Constitution.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

To all of those who like to mock gun owners and ask if they’re going to fight tyranny in a militia, Virginia’s answer is a clear and adamant “yes.” That’s exactly what they’re planning to do.

A Quick Recap of What’s Happened So Far

Here’s a little bit of background on the proposed weapons ban from my last article.

After the most recent election, the state’s House and Senate are both Democrat majorities and they haven’t wasted a moment in attempting to gut the gun laws in what has historically been a permissive state.

The so-called “assault weapon ban” is SB16 and has that perilously vague wording we all know to be incredibly dangerous. In some interpretations, this law, if it passes, could make illegal the ownership or transportation of any semi-automatic gun because extendable magazines are available for it – and you don’t even have to have the extendable mags. (source)

Unsurprisingly, a lot of Virginians are outraged by the idea of this and discussion of a “grandfather clause” that allows you to keep your semi-autos as long as you register them has done nothing to assuage the ire of gun owners.

Counties across the state quickly organized into Second Amendment sanctuaries – as of Dec. 16, 89 counties, cities, or municipalities have passed “sanctuary” resolutions and 6 have passed resolutions to protect the Second Amendment rights of citizens, but refuse to use the word “sanctuary.” Other locations are still debating their stances.

Map from Gun Rights Watch

Then to really stir the pot, State Representative Donald MacEachin had the bright idea of calling up the National Guard to squelch the rebellion.

McEachin also noted that Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam could call the National Guard, if necessary.

“And ultimately, I’m not the governor, but the governor may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law,” he said. “That’s his call, because I don’t know how serious these counties are and how severe the violations of law will be. But that’s obviously an option he has.” (source)

As you can imagine, that didn’t go over well.

The National Guard’s Response

Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia’s National Guard responded rather vaguely via Twitter.

We have received multiple questions regarding proposed legislation for the 2020 General Assembly session and the authority of the Governor of Virginia to employ the Virginia National Guard in a law enforcement role.

We understand and respect the passion people feel for the U.S. Constitution and 2nd Amendment rights. We will not speculate about the possible use of the Virginia National Guard.

Based on the responses in the Twitter thread, folks found Maj. Gen. Williams’ lackluster response less than comforting.

So now, a militia is forming in Virginia

Tazewell County is taking this threat to the Second Amendment very seriously. Not only did they pass a Second Amendment Sanctuary resolution, but they’ve also officially begun to form a militia. Law Enforcement Today reports:

Just this past Tuesday, on December 10th, the Board of Supervisors from Tazewell County passed two different resolutions in light of controversy circling those who are pro-gun. The first resolution declared the county to be a second amendment sanctuary. This is not at all surprising to see, as 76 out of 95 counties, 9 out of 38 independent cities, and 13 towns have adopted second amendment sanctuary resolutions.

The second item on the agenda was the proposition of establishing a militia in the county. When both of the resolutions passed, the crowd cheered loudly in support of the decisions.  Also, the resolutions didn’t exactly pass by a small margin; the votes were unanimous, with more than 200 citizens standing by in support. (source)

County Administrator Eric Young explained why the county has opted to form a militia.

“Our position is that Article I, Section 13, of the Constitution of Virginia reserves the right to ‘order’ militia to the localities. Therefore, counties, not the state, determine what types of arms may be carried in their territory and by whom. So, we are ‘ordering’ the militia by making sure everyone can own a weapon.”

Thus, if anyone from the state tries to remove the Sheriff from their elected office because they refuse to enforce unjust laws, those state officials will be faced with a lawful militia composed of citizens within the state. (source)

This article explains the extensive training being offered by Tazewell County to its citizens in order to make sure everyone is acting safely and responsibly.

I suspect Tazewell County will not be the only one that forms an official militia. The legislature of Virginia may have bitten off more than it can chew when they decided to come after the guns of rural citizens.

“Coincidentally,” there’s an anti-paramilitary bill on the table.

It’s probably no coincidence that at the same time militias are forming, there’s also a bill to make them illegal. SB64 has caused a huge hullabaloo.

Here’s some of the text of that bill.

§ 18.2-433.2. Paramilitary activity prohibited; penalty.

A person shall be is guilty of unlawful paramilitary activity, punishable as a Class 5 felony if he:

1. Teaches or demonstrates to any other person the use, application, or making of any firearm, explosive, or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, knowing or having reason to know or intending that such training will be employed for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder; or

2. Assembles with one or more persons for the purpose of training with, practicing with, or being instructed in the use of any firearm, explosive, or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, intending to employ such training for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder; or

3. Assembles with one or more persons with the intent of intimidating any person or group of persons by drilling, parading, or marching with any firearm, any explosive or incendiary device, or any components or combination thereof. (source)

Obviously, this is not a coincidence. They predicted how rural Virginians would respond to their gun-grabbing shenanigans. The plan all along was to confiscate guns and turn any organized resistance into a felony.

A Reminder for Virginia Legislators

There could hardly be anything more unconstitutional than SB64.  I know I already quoted this, but just as a refresher for any legislator that might happen to be reading this:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Our guiding doctrines are the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. At this point, everything the laughable Virginia Congress is proposing is an affront to the principles upon which this nation was founded.

Another reminder – this is the pledge these legislators swore:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia,  and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent upon me as ………. according to the best of my ability, (so help me God).” (source)

Every person in the government who has sworn this oath yet supports these unconstitutional bills should be immediately recalled and possibly even tried criminally to set an example that we will no longer tolerate the systematic dismantling of our rights. (Congressional privilege from arrest is only applicable in civil court, not in criminal court.)

This strategy was orchestrated by someone with a lot of money and power.

This is something that has been thought through, perhaps even by gun control advocate and presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg. The reason I’m suggesting Bloomberg specifically is that his PAC donated millions and millions of dollars to turn the legislatures of 24 states to a Democrat majority. His millions worked in 21 of those cases, and Virginia is one of them. Packing the state legislatures with allies would help his agenda should he actually become the next president.

Records filed so far show that organizations controlled and funded by Mr. Bloomberg spent more than $41 million on 24 House races, much of it on eye-catching ads rolled out on social media and broadcast on television in the crucial final days of the campaign.

And while it’s impossible to conclude that any one factor tipped the balance in a race, Mr. Bloomberg appears to have reaped the benefits of his millions in giving. Democrats won 21 of the 24 races he sought to influence. Of those, 12 had been considered either tossups or in Republican districts.

“The mission was to flip the House. Success or failure would be defined by that,” said Howard Wolfson, a senior adviser to Mr. Bloomberg. (source)

Bloomberg is rabidly anti-gun and has said that ending “the nationwide madness of U.S. gun violence” is the impetus behind his run for the White House. If he were to be elected, may God help America, because he will destroy everything for which our nation has ever stood.

Here’s the summary on what’s happening in Virginia

Let’s look at all these facts together.

  • With Michael Bloomberg’s help, the Democrats took over the Virginia state congress.
  • There’s an anti-paramilitary bill that would disallow armed people to gather or teach others how to use firearms or any technique that could cause injury or death.
  • There’s a bill that would make semi-automatic weapons illegal.
  • Nearly the entire state (aside from the highly populated areas that elected these yahoos) has balked and formed Second Amendment sanctuaries.
  • A legislator threatened the sanctuaries with the National Guard.
  • The sanctuaries responded by activating an organized militia.

The only real way to prevent bloodshed and save face for the congress and governor is for these bills not to pass.

That would be difficult, though, given the fact that Bloomberg dumped millions of dollars into getting people elected who promised to pass strict gun control bills. If they suddenly vote against the bill, they will have to face their angry constituents and the wrath of Bloomberg.

Rural Virginians seem unlikely to back down and are willing to fight. They have another month to get organized to defend their communities.

Remember that in situations such as these, the rumor mill works overtime. There are a lot of reports that are exaggerated. The truth is bad enough that we don’t need to add far-fetched theories to the mix. This article is a very good, common-sense breakdown of fact vs. fiction, although some vehemently disagree with the assessment that the government will not turn off communications and power for the sanctuary areas. It’s certainly not impossible to imagine that drastic measures could be taken.

What will happen next remains to be seen, but it is no exaggeration to say that the future of our country is now riding on the response of Virginians, should these unconstitutional laws pass.

  • The Virginia NG AG is playing CYA (cover your ass). If he stands up to the governor he will be relieved of command as any other VA NG officer.
Any NG soldier that obeys an order to confiscate the citizens guns or arrest any lawful militia member is obeying a UNLAWFUL ORDER.
My strong suggestion to the militias is to STAND YOUR GROUND and FIGHT if you must!
The people in the other states, especially in the South, will stand with you!
Our fore-fathers have faced heavier odds in the past and stood their ground. The time is coming for us to man up to the tyranny
that is coming to our community and very soon after, our very own doorstep.

    • who is the national guard – why it is a citizen of the state. The only NG’s that will -o bay- will be city slickers that do not have a grandpaw in the boondocks. Most other NG’s will be militia——-

  • Daisy, your linked article about the commonsense breakdown of the issues has a glaring bit of misinformation in it. Referring to the possibility of the Virginia government shutting off the utilities to the 2A sanctuary counties, he said it wasn’t probable. I say it is exactly likely for the government to cut off utilities in selected areas where gun-grabbing raids would take place. Think about it. If your power goes off in a thunderstorm, does it go off state wide or county wide? It doesn’t work that way. It goes off in sections and could definitely be turned off in sections where the gun grabbers are going house to house to confiscate guns and arrest the resisters. Even turning utilities off county wide would not be a good tactic for the gun-grabbers. The referenced author is disingenuous. TET.

  • Things could get hairy if the VA legislators and governor pass their anti-gun law and tries to use the NG to enforce it.
I think it would immediately go to the courts, but could even make it to the SCOTUS.
Then things could really get interesting.
I dont have a crystal ball (even if I did I be betting on the horses and Powerball), so I am not making any predictions of how things will go.

    • Things are beyond “hairy” already. Maybe, just maybe, someone should use damned common sense, and ask the members of the Virginia NG if they really want to be used like the Gestapo going door to door trampling on the rights of law abiding citizens.

My next paycheck says, HELL NO, they never signed up for that!

PS Typical of these self righteous gun grabbing bigots in the assembly that they wanna talk out their ass, then have Someone Else do the heavy lifting and take the risks because of what THEY want

      • Here’s the dilemma. How many of those NG members are gun owners? All NG members I know are! How is the Governor going to get them to turn in their weapons? Does he think they are going to just hand over their guns and then go confiscate their neighbor’s guns? I’m guessing that isn’t going to happen. What a bunch of fools and idiots! They live in a fantasy world and lack the ability to think anything through to the final outcome.

        • Maybe they”ll threaten them with a court martial for disobeying orders…i would say is a good guess?!?!? Remember, they”re corrupt as hell or they wouldn”t be pushing this gun control!!!

  • Here’s the link from above in your article and the offending section of obfuscation.

    https://bearingarms.com/cam-e/2019/12/16/separating-fact-fiction-virginias-second-amendment-show

“Yes, Ralph Northam could conceivably call out the National Guard to enforce his gun control laws in Second Amendment Sanctuary communities, but even if he is dumb enough to do that (which would almost certainly create a crisis within the Guard itself), there’s no way Northam is going to cut off electricity and internet to 80% of the state.

There are 75 Second Amendment Sanctuary counties in Virginia at the moment, and 17 Second Amendment Sanctuary cities or towns (that number will change on Monday as more votes are scheduled). If Ralph Northam cut off the power and Internet across the entire state save for northern Virginia and the Richmond area, it wouldn’t just cause an uproar among gun owners. It would impact millions of residents, cripple businesses, and plunge the state into chaos.”

My comment is that the VA government would only have the manpower for their enforcement actions in limited areas and would be selective in this usurpation of power, excuse the pun, for their own tactical advantage.TET.

      • Daisy, I hear what Tim is saying, and I agree, it WOULD be irrational at best for these politicians to try this sort of over reach. My only addition to that would be this question:

Mr. Tucker, what on earth makes you assume they’re rational?

Let’s ask the question, when that idiot from California Eric Swallwell “jokingly” talked about using nuclear weapons against gun owners, did ANY of these “rational” politicians stand up and say “Mr. Swallwell, are you nuts?” Any of them? Because for years, I’ve had liberals tell me that “Silence = Consent”

    • “…there’s no way Northam is going to cut off electricity and internet to 80% of the state.” My reply: Crazy people do crazy things. This site is about preparedness, you had best be prepared for a no power, no comms situation.
      https://www.theorganicprepper.com/interview-with-selco-stories-from-an-shtf-christmas/

Comrade Northham will do whatever it takes to make his diktat real.

The real unknown in the coming war is what way will Trump go? If he sides with Comrade Northam. he will lose his entire base of support but the Deep State might ease up on him. If he backs the Rebels, he will be removed from office one way or another.

May you live in interesting times…..

  • I would suggest that their next set of bills or revisions of bills might be against Preppers.

Since the training for survival, and prepping can include escape and evasion training or concealment training both of which are off shoots of Military/ militia training.
Of course those evil knives, will be next after the guns, so that would be another area it could eventually affect Preppers, if this is not stopped Now.

So this is truly everybody’s fight. Not just Gun Owners and Militia’s, that is if you expect to live free from
    excessive and abusive government controls.

    • Tyrants like the hate filled bigots running The Virginia Assembly have no end at all to their appetite for power and control over other people. These soul-less criminals have empty hearts that they so desperately try to fill by trying to run every one else’s lives. Maybe if they had lives of their own, they’d think different.

I am a free man, and I will not be told what to feel or think or how to live by ANYONE. Not now, not ever

  • Be careful exposing your identities in support of the VA gun owners. This could be a ruse by the VA gov and other leftists to smoke out the identities of players who could then be taken off the field of play before the action begins, by fair means or foul.

    • “Fair means or foul?” What, are they gonna have us all kidnapped? They gonna run frame up jobs against people who have done nothing wrong? Are they gonna use masked goon squads to beat us with clubs and crowbars, or run us off the road into a tree? Will they give the NG “shoot on sight” orders?

nobody, if these hate filled bigots start using the law as a weapon against law abiding people helping others, then they have crossed a line that they will regret doing so. Because while I respect yours and others need for privacy, I would point out that everyone everywhere knows the names of the Virginia governor and the members of the Virginia Assembly. ANYTHING happens, it will be on them

    • Absolutely……and thus have a reason to use the red flag …….touting that we’re a danger to others. A good reason to come take our guns then let the matter get tied up in the courts for years

  • There are some deeply structural protections that we’ve thrown away which are sorely needed today.

One of the stated causes in the Declaration of Independence was the British hijacking of prisoners (jailed over unjust laws) and transporting them to Canada or England where the courts owed their allegiance to the Crown — which would guarantee a guilty verdict. The colonists had long come to respect the principle of jury nullification in cases of unjust laws (or inappropriately applied just laws) that was established in the 1670 trial of William Penn in England — where the jury foreman and several of his jurymen were imprisoned for weeks over their refusal to convict. Refusal to convict was a major issue that put an end to the Salem witchcraft trials in the 1690s over here. Again in the 1730s trial in New York colony of John Peter Zenger over his published ugly truths about the colonial governor, the jury refused to convict — never mind that no government-beholden public school textbook today dare mentions that jury nullification won the day for Zenger.

Throughout the 1800s, the right of jury nullification was so sacred that judges in criminal cases were obligated to disclose that right to the jury — until a US Supreme Court case decision in the 1890s relieved those judges of that obligation, but it left the right intact. Since then the legislative and legal communities have done their best to erase that hard-won right. It’s so bad now that in some cases, handing out copies of the Constitution outside of a courthouse has resulted in bogus charges of “jury tampering”.

I have even seen local county court judges requiring prospective jurors to swear to an oath that obligates them to accept the law as given by the judge — never mind that such law might be horribly abusive, disgustingly tyrannical, or inappropriately applied — basically a replay of British Crown tyranny in the pre-1700s era.

The founders never intended the US Supreme Court to have the final word in criminal cases. Juries instead were to be the final arbiter, and were for at least the following century. Today, only the faint voice of the Fully Informed Jury Association (fija.org) is there to remind us of this ancient but vital right that was a major rescue in some cases in fugitive slave trials in the pre-Civil War era, Prohibition trials in the 1920s and early 1930s, and some medical marijuana cases in our era. Clearly, that right is desperately needed in today’s Virginia where the state motto has been since 1776 as “sic semper tyrannis,” from the Latin meaning “thus ever to tyrants.”

    –Lewis

  • The Revised Code of Virginia ALREADY has codified the citizens unorganized militia as constitutional and lawful. EVERY state has this!!!

  • Article I Section 13 of the Commonwealth’s Constitution makes these draconian measures illegal and unconstitutional. Perhaps a focus there versus asking for potential Federal overreach would be a better course of action.

    • Fully on board with that idea Allen. However, I would point out that the Bolsheviks running the Virginia Assembly would do the usual “liberal” thing and find a tame judge who will say that the law means whatever the hell they want it to mean. If that happens — and I suspect it will– then the good people of Virginia would of necessity need to seek help from a higher level of authority.

PS I’m not sure what the commander of the Virginia NG was thinking when he issued such a dead fish of a response to some wanna be tyrant thinking of calling on the men and women under his command to act like a Gestapo, but he needs to make a more specific response to protect the people under his command. I’m not LEO and don’t actually know any, but I can’t imagine that ANY of them would want to be the poster boy for the phrase “police state hate”.

Seriously, doesn’t law enforcement have enough going on every day without having to be used as bully boys for some damned politician’s whim?

  • Reading the sources in the article, what I am seeing is big money, from outside of a state (unless it is NY), helped win (aka bought) those elections.
The same guy who bought those elections is now trying to buy the Democrat Nomination (as some of the current nominees have commented on).
He wants to pass draconian gun laws nation wide. Willing to put millions of dollars into it, against law abiding Joe Average American gun owner.

Call me crazy but does it not seem like Bloomberg and the VA State government is making the case for the need for the 2ndA? Providing The People the means to stand up to a tyrannical government? Threatening not only their gun laws, but suggesting the used of armed force (the NG) against The People?

Then there is the report that,
“Democratic Virginia Rep. Donald McEachin suggested cutting off state funds to counties that do not comply with any gun control measures that pass in Richmond.

“They certainly risk funding, because if the sheriff’s department is not going to enforce the law, they’re going to lose money. The counties’ attorneys offices are not going to have the money to prosecute because their prosecutions are going to go down,” he said.”

So, the state is going to tax those cities and counties, but defund their LEO and county attorneys offices?

Seems like a poorly thought out plan that will hopefully go nowhere.

  • Great article! I hope those Virginians start the recall process immediately. This is another great reason for those who support the 2d Amendment to hide most of their weapons. It’s a truly sad day when Americans, who’ve done nothing illegal, are legislated into criminality by their elected politicians. Throw the bums out and never vote Democrat again.

    • When events become so dire that your weapons need to be buried, they are dire enough that they need to be used.
      No attribution for that unfortunately.

  • With your permission I may put out a special edition of my Dying Time newsletter to get the word out about this–using your article and with full accreditation.

  • I find it interesting, although consistent with the communist ideology, that Bloomberg is trying to buy up the state governments with millions of fiat dollars of his ill gotten wealth. Typical actions for someone dedicated to a one world government controlled by a small minority of humans with money and power, people just like him. I suspect many of these miscreants are starting to get frightened that they are losing power to the informed Americans, so they are using their money to shut down the ‘rebels.’

    • Ok, but for anyone else looking for the date, it’s located in the column on the left hand side of the article. It’s put there anytime an article is published.

    • Please pull your head out of your ass. It’d time to take a stand. Go hide your head in the sand and they’ll blow your ass off. They are dead serious about illegal gun confiscation and it should piss everybody off. Without them you’re just a slave. Better not take it lightly, it’s gonna be law after the Commie governor signs it. Proving politician’s will do anything to stay in power. Now they’ll forgive him for his blackface scandal. I’m trying to figure out what part of this isn’t as serious as it sounds. Should we wait to get upset when they kick our doors in. When is a good time for you………..? When it’s too late I figure

  • More evidence that prohibitionists, and those who support them, are evil. How’s that “voting is my civic duty” thing working for you?
“When law and morality contradict each other the citizen has the cruel alternative of either losing his sense of morality or losing his respect of the law.” — Frederic Bastiat

  • There is another civil war starting in this country — you can feel its presence. Virginia’s government is making a huge mistake by going against its own people. Even just one armed man can bring down this tyranny, and fight against this arbitrary or unrestrained exercise of power; a despotic abuse of government authority. Read about how to stop this https://bestguru.info/one-man-army/

  • Virginia had its own Bill of Rights before the USA adopted the first 10 Amendments. If memory serves, Virginia’s Bill of Rights was more comprehensive than what’s in the Constitution. It seems to me that Virginians need to sick their state’s Attorney General on the politicians who are violating Virginia’s Constitution and Bill of Rights.

If Soro$ has already corrupted the state’s AG, then time to recall the AG, first and foremost. Begin a trust fund or escrow account into which Virginians can deposit funds for a legal war-chest, to retain high-quality representation from the very beginning. The unused funds can be returned to the people once Liberty has been secured by whatever works.

The Democrats WANT to provoke a shooting war, so they can say, “See? Told you so … gun nuts… “blah blah blah. So don’t shoot until you see the whites of their eyes. Also, pay for a TV ad to appeal to the families of National Guard troops, something along the line of, “you wouldn’t want to have to explain that your loved one died trying to DESTROY freedom, while violating the rights of his fellow citizens.”

  • “We have received multiple questions regarding proposed legislation for the 2020 General Assembly session and the authority of the Governor of Virginia to employ the Virginia National Guard in a law enforcement role. Please make sure you share this message with your all of your personnel.

We understand and respect the passion people feel for the U.S. Constitution and 2nd Amendment rights. We will not speculate about the possible use of the Virginia National Guard. I encourage everyone to be patient while we allow our elected officials to work through the legislative process.

We have not received any requests from the Governor, or anyone on his staff, about serving in a law enforcement role related to any proposed legislation.

I expect our Soldiers, Airmen and members of the Virginia Defense Force to be professional and respectful in their discussions about this subject. As private citizens, our personnel are free to express their opinions to their elected officials, but they should not engage in any political activity while in a uniformed status.

We will provide regular updates when appropriate during the General Assembly session. Please utilize your chain of command to direct any questions or concerns to my office, and we will do our best to address them.”
For those who were hoping that Maj. General Williams was going to come out swinging with a “Hell no we’re not taking anybody’s guns”, it wasn’t going to happen. Even if that’s how the adjutant general feels, he’s not going to pick a fight with the governor if he doesn’t have to. He can kick this can down the road, at least until and if Northam actually requests that the National Guard go into rural counties to look for people who are allowing their 17-year old daughter to hunt unsupervised on their property, or to try to catch someone transferring a firearm without a background check.

If Northam were actually dumb enough to do that, I suspect what he’d find is yet another crisis of public confidence on his hands. Not only would he have to deal with dozens of counties and cities that have said “no” to unconstitutional gun control laws, he’d create a crisis within the Virginia National Guard, whose members swear to uphold the Constitution. Many of those National Guardsmen are gun owners and Second Amendment supporters as well, and I suspect there would be a genuine fracturing of the organization over the issue.

In fact, if you read between the lines of the adjutant general’s statement, it’s clear that McEachin’s comment is already causing a stir within the Guard itself. The men and women of the Virginia National Guard signed up to defend freedom, not establish a police state on American soil where soldiers search for scofflaws who refuse to register their rifles with the Virginia State Police.

  • Take care Daisy. Your life is important to many people and you do an invaluable job keeping us informed. We live in very worrying times. Is there anything the rest of us in America who support you can do to help? (Apart from not vote Democrat of course… to be honest I don’t think even a lot of Democrats recognize their party anymore)

  • Every member of the National Guard took an Oath to the Constitution, and the 2nd, Amendment is part of the Constitution. The guard does not have to follow un-constitutional orders. If they violate their Oath to they should be held accountable.

  • Time to do some reconnoitering… Know the location of power sub-stations, key telephone hubs, sewage treatment plants. Once they are on the march, make the Communists life a living hell by knocking out power, water, comms, CABLE… all the things that make life easy for the zombies.

Number two, when organizing the militias, you want to recruit sympathetic pilots, both fixed wing and helicopter. The militia will need air cover for the upcoming war.

  • Thank you, Organic Prepper.
Where do I sign up? all the wiki links to Virginia Militia are dead (goy figure)
Anyhow, I’d like to sign up, and am in my last year of eligibilty
I am a disabled veteran but I am a Christian, so yeah.
It’s like that; especially when Our Constitution is bieng infringed.

    • I’m afraid I don’t have any contact information. Maybe you can get some help from the Tazewell County offices? That’s who passed this resolution.

  • This article is very similar to the article from Mike Adams of Natural News.

Subject: The plot to spark a civil war in Virginia using police state roadblocks

I love it every time Mr Natural News Mike Adams uses the term “sources” but he never mentions who these “sources” are and this goes with anyone else who does the same.

I’ve attempted to contact Mr. Natural News but to no avail so allow me to set matters straight.

1st. the County Sheriff’s control their counties and so far 90 of the 95 counties in Virginia have declared their counties along with their City Councils to be 2nd. Amendment Sanctuary Counties.

2nd. The Sheriff has more power than any and all Federal or State government and that includes the President of the united States.

3rd. The sheriff is known as the highest Law Enforcer of their county and has all, repeat ALL Law Enforcement powers exceeding that of any other State or Federal official (s).

4th. The sheriff can “deputies” individuals to have authority in his or her jurisdiction.

5th. No Federal Agency can have State powers, the Fed’s cannot enforce State Law and States cannot be compelled to enforce Federal Laws.

6th. In 1994 the Tenth amendment was reaffirmed by the Supreme Court when Sheriff Richard Mack and Sheriff Printz of Montana sued the Clinton Administration regarding the Brady Bill and WON!!

7th. A number of Sheriffs in Virginia have said that hey will deputize a thousand citizens to stop this if they must.

8th. No police officer, Deputy Sheriff, State Trooper, Marsha, Federal Agent or any any sworn peace officer has the authority to arrest any Sheriff.

9th. Any Sheriff can arrest any of the aforementioned including the President.

10th. And any Sheriff can at any time also arrest the Governor.

So remember, all of the Sheriffs in every county in Virginia know this and are well prepared to use their powers so this does not escalate into an all out war on the streets regardless of what Mike Adams, Alex Jones or anyone else sasy.

So please do not fall for these scare tactics and get yourself killed or arrested.

    • While I have heard of Natural News, and to a lesser degree Mike Adams, Daisy has provided sources, as you can see in the links.

Perhaps you could provided sources for all the 10 things you list as fact?

  • Even if the 2nd Amendment were removed from the Constitution, the government would not be able to deny the people the right to own guns. The right for a person to own a gun is one of the fundamental tenets of Liberty as proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence-the very document that founded this country, with which the Founders declared to the world that in this country the people are free and government’s job is to protect that freedom. To the Founding Fathers Liberty meant a person’s common law right to do whatever he wants, as long as he does not infringe upon the life, liberty or, property of anybody else. A person has the right to own a gun-of any type and regardless of the reason-just like he has the right to own anything else he wants, as long as he doesn’t use it to bring harm to another person.

This situation is essentially the government of Virginia telling free people in a free country that they are not free; and rather than form a militia all of those people need to ask their government the question, “If you don’t think I’m free, what do you know that I don’t know?” and to ask that is a constitutional right! That is the issue that needs to be brought to the Supreme Court-reveal, Government, why it is that you do not believe that the people are free. It’s a jurisdictional issue. If all of those people posed that question, my theory is that the government might conclude that maybe the masses do understand who they are and cannot be bullied so easily.

  • The key to this all is the SCOTUS. Most likely Virginia’s gun laws will be declared unconstitutional. As for the National Guard, the governor of VA is the commander. However, the President of the US may federalize it, and then command it.

  • who ever started this nogun law in virginia needs to go back to NYC we are protected by the 2nd ammendment to carry guns to protect ourselfs i am a land owner there and its dangerous to be there with out a gun the people in louisiana stand locked and loaded and if we come there im bringing my texas friends. GO BACK TO NYC IDIOTS FAR LEFT WING DEM WITS BLACK FACE NEEDS TO GO

  • I’m a little confused, or the democrats are. If a government, however large or small, decide to form a militia, how is that illegal? This is sponsored by a GOVERNMENT, not a private group. Secondly, would Tazewell allow non-county residents to join? Are there other municipalities or counties forming militia’s. Unfortunately I live up North.

Secondly, are there any legal partnerships who are going to take up the banner and take Virginia to court. This is completely illegal.

And Bloomberg spend $800,000,000 for Democrats to win. We need to go out and talk to people, invite them to the range. Do whatever it takes. I do not want a Statewide version of Baltimore!

  • The author is wrong in this statement… “the future of our country is now riding on the response of Virginians”

I assure you, there are millions, at least 10 to 20 million who are more than ready, willing and able to finish this civil war once it begins and they will stand with Virginians. I’ll tell you something else, as we speak not a small number of those people are preparing to be on hand, in VA if needed. For this reason, the gov will back down. Their bluff is going to be called and with the cards on the table, they will back down. They know what will happen if they don’t, it’s that simple.

However, there is still only one way this can end, civil war. Anything less changes nothing and will force your children to finish it in a decade or two… if they still can.

Right now, a civil war is essentially over the second it begins. We know it, they know it and they know we know it. We have the vast majority of the military and law enforcement on our side, not the evil people running things but the trigger guys, they are mostly our people.

Simple logistics makes it impossible for any advanced weapons use, What are they going to do, nuke rural Nebraska? Start firing hellfire missiles into farmhouses? How many hellfires does it take to kill 10 to 20 million people intermixed within the general population?

When most of your trigger men side with the opposing force, it will not be the patriots who have to worry about advanced weapons deployment. Any advanced weaponry that becomes an asset of the revolution could be used to far greater effect against an entrenched enemy whose whereabouts are not in question.

Now look at the map. They are clustered in a handful of small, densely populated areas who are by the way, populated by their supporters. A largely unarmed, untrained, pathetically helpless population who are dependent solely on resupply for food, medicine, ammunition and in many cases, even water! Their life blood to operate at all is the electricity that flows in from outside their borders, guess what happens first?

Make no mistake about it, it may not start in VA thirty days from now but it will start soon, somewhere. There is no other way this can end except civil war, that is the cold hard truth. Prepared or not, it’s coming, be ready.

  • Will try to be there. CA; Pasadena and LA, Kern Counties; seems to be killing whites. AutoZone and Home Depot seem to be helping with Obamacare killing elderly and crazy folks. 100 years of NAACP problems coming after poor whites.

  • The “Big Shots” in the government have no problem putting the National Guards families in grave danger. They don’t give two hoots in hell about them getting killed by the nutter people in the resistance while their men are enforcing these stupid laws.

  • For those Patriots that will be present during the January 20th 2020 protest I highly recommend that they bring Large size zip ties to hand cuff for the police the trouble makers like antifa, and others that might be organizing to infiltrate the protest by wearing patriotic clothing, when they start trouble place them under civilian arrest, and remember bring cameras and take pictures. Indiana , were waiting, we will fight.

  • Well, let us examine the second amendment! A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free state. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed
Well regulated , meaning to run smooth, be disciplined , well supplied. Militia meaning the body of people consisting of lawful citizens in a free state of existence.
Security , meaning to keep safe . Necessary meaning needed , essential Free state, meaning the collective of states, the whole nation.
The right , meaning those essential liberties that all people have regardless of government. The people, the lawful citizens in a free state of existence
To keep, meaning to own and posses And bear, meaning to carry on or about ones person either open or concealed.
Arms , meaning weapons Shall, meaning must, will . infringed, meaning restricted , retarded , suppressed.

Therefore, a well regulated, smooth running ,well supplied, disciplined Militia being necessary, essential, needed, for the security, safety, of a free state, the whole nation, for national security.
The right, liberties, of the people, free and lawful citizens, shall not, must not , will not be infringed, restricted suppressed.
Now if you suppress, restrict or infringe upon the rights and liberties of the people to keep, own, and bear arms, open or concealed you are compromising national security.
The crime of jeopardizing national or state security is treason. The MILITIAS need to form CITIZEN COMMON LAW GRAND JURIES in ANY county of that state and indict the governor for TREASON.
