The Flu Is FAR WORSE Than We’re Being Told: Tens of Thousands of Americans Are DYING

We all know that this year’s flu season is bad. I have been pouring over numbers and reports over the past few days, and it’s actually even worse than we’re hearing about. Tens of thousands of Americans are dying. It’s now worse than the 2009 swine flu outbreak and is on track with the 2014-15 strain. And it’s not showing any signs of slowing down.

Despite this, the media is downplaying the severity of the flu and the government makes the statistics pretty difficult to find. Are they trying to avoid a panic? Do they know something we don’t?

Here’s what you need to know about why this year’s flu is so dangerous.

This Year’s Flu Strain Is More Deadly

The dominant Influenza strain this year is H3N2. This particular strain has a history of causing more hospitalizations and more deaths. According to the CDC:

In the past, H3N2-predominant seasons have been associated with more severe illness and higher mortality, especially in older people and young children, relative to H1N1- or B-predominant seasons. Between 1976 and 2007, for example, CDC estimates that an average of 28,909 people died from flu during H3N2 seasons, compared to 10,648 people during non-H3N2 predominant years.

That’s a difference of 18,261 adults each year. And that’s in a good year.

In addition to H3N2 producing a more serious infection in general, this year’s particular H3N2 influenza virus is particularly virulent. The number of deaths due to influenza or complications to the flu, such as pneumonia (a secondary bacterial infection following influenza), varies from year to year.

An August 27, 2010 MMWR report entitled “Thompson MG et al. Updated Estimates of Mortality Associated with Seasonal Influenza through the 2006-2007 Influenza Season. MMWR 2010; 59(33): 1057-1062.,” provided estimates of the range of flu-associated deaths that occurred in the United States during the three decades prior to 2007. CDC estimated that from the 1976-1977 season to the 2006-2007 flu season, flu-associated deaths ranged from a low of about 3,000 to a high of about 49,000 people.

The Current Flu Has Already Killed 44,116 People

In comparison, the current flu has already resulted in 44,116 deaths this flu season. To give that number some meaning, this year’s flu has already led to more deaths than the average for H3N2 years.

Furthermore, we aren’t even in the middle of cold and flu season yet. At 44,116 deaths and counting, we are already nearly to the high end (49,000 people) of the normal flu-associated deaths range.

Fun With Numbers

You would think the CDC would publish an easy-to-find running tally of influenza mortality. They don’t. They only post that information for pediatric mortality. Currently, that number stands at 37.

A total of 37 influenza-associated pediatric deaths have been reported for the 2017-2018 season.

Additional data can be found at: http://gis.cdc.gov/GRASP/Fluview/PedFluDeath.html.

They do, however, provide the information for you to do the math for yourself. On the same page as the above graphic, the CDC provides a chart with the mortality rate presented as a percentage. Here’s that chart.

Below that chart is the option to open up the chart data. This opens an Excel file with the number of people who died from both influenza and pneumonia by week dating back to 2015. I added up the total deaths for the flu and for pneumonia starting in Week 40 (October 2, 2017) and ending in Week 1 (January January 7, 2018). This is what those figures came to:

If you add those two totals together, you reach a total of 44,146 people dead.

To make matters even more confusing, the CDC does report lab-confirmed cases of influenza at the top of the same web page. This is the chart.

This chart is somewhat misleading, as it does not compare apples to apples. It presents only cases of lab-confirmed influenza, but not Influenza-Like Illnesses (ILI). ILI cases are just labeled “Elevated”. Thanks, but I could tell that already by just reading my Facebook news feed.

The chart also does not include pneumonia cases. This leaves thousands of cases off the chart.

To add yet another twist, the pediatric mortality total is posted on this same chart. This compares apples to oranges and gives the impression that there are much fewer people sick and dying than there actually are.

Numbers don’t lie. But, they can mislead. If you do add the lab-confirmed cases of influenza together, you get 19,869 cases. That’s a far cry from the 44,146 deaths recorded so far.

The Flu Vaccine Is Historically Less Effective on H3N2

Not only does this influenza strain produce a more intense and deadly flu, the flu vaccine is less effective against it.  This Centers for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) article discusses a study published in The Lancet spanning 11 years that demonstrates H3N2 is more resistant to the flu vaccine.

The study, in The Lancet Infectious Diseases, covered more than 11 flu seasons, from Jan 1, 2004, to Mar 31, 2015. The H3N2 strain has been associated with more severe influenza seasons independent of vaccine effect, according to senior author Edward Belongia, MD, of the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation (MCRF) in Wisconsin. Among the explanations he and his coauthors offered for the lower strain-specific protection were manufacturing-related factors.

Also from the above CIDRAP article, the flu vaccine demonstrates only a 33% vaccine effective (VE) rate with the average H3N2 strain. This is down significantly from the VE rates against other strains.

The research team determined that pooled VE for the 56 studies was 33% (95% confidence interval [CI], 26%-39%) for H3N2, 54% (95% CI, 46%-61%) for type B, 61% (95% CI, 57%-65%) for 2009 H1N1, and 67% (29%-85%) for prepandemic H1N1.

This Year’s Vaccine Is Even Less Effective than Prior Years

To make matters worse, this year’s flu vaccine isn’t even close to the average 33% VE rate of prior years. This year’s vaccine is performing at approximately a 10% VE rate. This report from CBS News explains how we know this.

What’s more, this year’s flu shot may not be up to the task. It is the same formulation that was used during Australia’s most recent flu season — which typically sets a pattern for what the U.S. will face — and it was only 10 percent effective there.

Nonetheless, the medical community and media are still pushing the ineffective flu vax with all their might.

Resources and Services Are At Risk

The other day, I did an informal “Flu Check-In” through my social media accounts. It was a great way to touch base with hundreds of people around the country. There were loads of reports of hospitals reaching surge capacity, school closings due to high numbers of influenza cases, and people being told by their employers to stay home and telecommute if possible.

Hospitals are at capacity.

Hospitals and medical facilities are usually extra busy during flu season. However, this year, many hospitals are reaching what is called “surge capacity”. Surge capacity is the ability to handle a sudden and dramatic increase in the number of patients needing immediate care.

This is happening because there are more patients seeking out emergency care, and they are staying in the hospital longer. This is leading to a scarcity of hospital beds and available staff.

There seems to be quite a few hospitals at capacity. This is just a tiny sample of hospitals that are either full or almost full.

Whether or not you have the flu, hospitals reaching capacity is a risk to everyone. I wrote about this at length in my book Prepping for a Pandemic. When an epidemic or pandemic disease has led to hospitals turning away patients, it doesn’t matter if you get the disease itself.

You could have a heart attack, need an emergency c-section, or need have a burst appendix removed. No beds means no beds. At best, you might be directed to go to another hospital. At worst, they may not have any beds either and send you to another facility at capacity.

School Closings

There are plenty of school closings as well. This is an important step in saving lives, as the H3N2 strain of influenza hits both the elderly and children harder than adults. This can, however, make it tough on parents that cannot get time off of work. Here are just a few places with schools closing. They span all across the country.

Here’s What to Do Right Now

Peak flu season is still to come. Flu season typically begins in October and can run as late as the following May. February is peak flu season. This month historically sees the most cases of flu or influenza-like illnesses.

  • Stay away from enclosed populations with influenza if possible. These can include hospitals, nursing homes, schools, shopping centers, college dormitories, gyms, locker rooms, and anywhere else large numbers of people gather where the air is recirculated.
  • If you are visiting someone who is in a care facility, do not bring young children or aging parents. They are more at risk than the rest of the population.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap. Soap provides friction which helps to remove pathogens from your hands.
  • Stop touching your face. I know this one is hard, but we don’t need to give the flu any help infecting us.
  • Take extra good care of your immune system. You will need to fight the flu! Get plenty of rest. Avoid unhealthy foods. Stay hydrated. Avoid smoking. Here is a great article from Harvard with ideas to support healthy immune function and one from this website about reducing your risk of catching the flu.
  • Telecommute to work if possible.
  • Disinfect things like doorknobs, handles, phones, and anything that multiple people touch throughout the day.
  • The flu has an incubation period of 1-4 days before symptoms show, and is contagious a day before symptoms are obvious. Tidiness, clean linens, and fresh air help prevent the spread of germs before symptoms appear.
  • If someone at home gets the flu, have them sleep separately, in a room by themselves. Keep your towels separate and your toothbrushes away from the sick person’s items.

This one is deadly.

This virus has the potential to be the worst we’ve seen in a century. You need to take every precaution to keep your family healthy and if someone does get sick, don’t take any risks. Seek medical attention.

    • I also take Olive leaf extract capsules and Vit D, C and zinc/copper among other basic supplements. We have avoided going out to any thing, incl dept. stores. Grocery stores only early in the morning when place is empty. We are retirees. Worst year of flu I have seen in many decades. We do not get shots and neither do friends. Some think the senior shots (four times stronger than other flu shot) is meant to kill off older people and cause them to get the flu. I use germ wipes (7th generation brand) and keep them in the car for grocery carts. Raw apple cider vinegar 2 T. is done once a day. Lots of fruits and veg. herb teas. No dairy or meats if flu or cold, just causes more congestion. Take pro biotics too.

    • I’d double the vitamin D and make sure it is D3 instead of D2. I also take enough MK7 to make sure that the calcium mobilized by the D3 doesn’t wind up in my arteries in plague rather than back in bones, where it belongs.

    • She just stated that the vaccine is only 10% effective, at best. How is this promoting the vaccine? Did you even bother to read the article?

      • Yes that is the bad part……..and they are still promoting it, on the news, in commericals, etc. Of course they are using the fact……that even thought it is only l0 per cent effective…….it will make the flu less dangerous if you get the shot. Yes Daisy/Ellis did say that, but not in a way that was promoting it. A statement of fact abut how useless it was, which is true. Have to ask you the same question….debra…..did you even bother to read the article, and if so, how did you come to the ……idea that daisy/ellis were pushing it?

    • If “they are pumping flu fear”, why are “they” not revealing the true numbers? Why are “they” downplaying them?

    • Vaccinations are causing the flu, and in creasing its kill rate.
This year’s flu is starting to look like the 1918 Spanish flu.

  • I believe this is all hype, regardless of the numbers uncovered in this research. Look into the work of Sharyl Atkinson, a mainstream reporter who was shunned after she uncovered the truth about the supposed “death toll” with the swine flu and uncovered that the CDC counts “flu and pneumonia” deaths in the same category. There were less than 30 actual confirmed deaths from H1N1. The rest were “assumed” without actual diagnosis, while the tallies were lumped in with deaths caused by pneumonia, which is much, much more common than people actually having the flu. The CDC does some shady stuff when it comes to their “reporting” which has, in the past, made things look much worse than they are. I believe that this, like previous “flus” is some other upper respiratory issue spreading around and not this killer flu they are panicking people over. Regardless, people need to take care of themselves and try not to get sick, ~whatever it is that’s going around, but all of this hysteria is just causing more silly people to get worthless flu shots and pump more poisons into their bodies for absolutely no reason other than lining the pockets of Big Pharma, which forces practices and facilities to comply with financial carrots (ie: vaccinate X amount inn a time period to get a kickback).

    • Except, at this time of year, pneumonia is primarily a secondary bacterial infection after Influenza. If it were July, treating pneumonia separately from influenza makes sense. During cold and flu season, it doesn’t. This is what is clogging up emergency rooms and hospital beds around the country. As far as only counting confirmed cases, that is a misleading way to go about it. Only a fraction of cases are ever tested. If an outbreak of flu hits an area, and someone goes to the doctor with all the symptoms of the flu (which tend to be more severe and longer-lasting than a cold), odds are, they have the flu. These are counted as “Influenza-Like Illnesses”, or ILIs. They are also tracked, and should be considered along with confirmed cases, as flu to get the full picture.

      • They ran out of flu tests at my doctor. So there will be no confirmation. But my daughter has the flu now. OKC.

      • Hi Cat – I am a little confused by your info. Could you please reveal your sources of the above information? There are 2 main types of pneumonia, bacterial and viral. However, the flu most commonly leads to viral not bacterial (although it can). Still there are over 30 causes of the flu! Also, you say this time of year, except the chart you use to get your numbers from starts in October and ends the first week of January. That is well before the flu season (at least in our area), but we did have a horrible fall step season (which is a common cause of bacterial pneumonia). Also, the chart itself doesn’t support you findings. There should be a similar increase in Pneumonia cases as the flu goes up. Instead it shows when there were 15 flu deaths there where 2851 pneumonia deaths and when there where 716 flu deaths there were 2855 pneumonia deaths. The pneumonia cases rise and fall and the flu steadily increased. There is no correlation. As I researched I could not find a number higher than 1/3 of respiratory viruses (not even all of which are the flu, but most commonly) lead to pneumonia (viral pneumonia). Considering the information below I don’t think you are getting an accurate picture of the total flu deaths.

The flu can become pneumonia. In fact, about one-third of all pneumonia cases in this country are caused by respiratory viruses, most commonly influenza. As Jason Turowski, MD, a pulmonologist at Cleveland Clinic, puts it, “viruses set up shop and basically wreak havoc on your lungs.” Besides influenza, other causes of pneumonia include bacteria and, less commonly, fungi or parasites.
        everydayhealth.com – Dr. Sanjay Gupta

Viral pneumonia is a pneumonia caused by a virus.[1] Viruses are one of the two major causes of pneumonia, the other being bacteria; less common causes are fungi and parasites. Viruses are the most common cause of pneumonia in children, while in adults bacteria are a more common cause.
Wikipedia – sourced from National heart, lung and blood institute

        Common Causes of Pneumonia
Viruses, bacteria, and fungi can all cause pneumonia. In the United States, common causes of viral pneumonia are influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). A common cause of bacterial pneumonia is Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcus). Pneumonia can also result from being on a ventilator, which is known as ventilator-associated pneumonia.

Daisy – I love this site and look forward to more great articles!!

        • Hi Janelle, the sources are actually provided in the article. I also provided them a second time in reply to another comment. However, if you go to this page and scroll down until you see a graph that is titled, “Pneumonia and Influenza Mortality from the National Health Center for Health Statistics and Mortality Surveillance System”, just below that are four links. One of them says, “View Chart Data”. If you click on that, it will start a download with an Excel file. From here, you can see a record of how many deaths per week of influenza and pneumonia, and do the math for yourself during cold and flu season.

As to how long cold and flu season lasts, again, according to the CDC, it’s from October to May. It may not be that long in your area, but one area is not representative of the US as a whole. In my neck of the woods, we can expect influenza cases to start increasing as early as September.

As to lumping influenza and pneumonia together, while they are not the same thing, at this time of year, the leading cause of pneumonia is influenza. Yes, there are other causes of pneumonia. During cold and flu season, however, the cause is so frequently influenza or Influenza-Like Illnesses (ILIs), that the CDC counts the two together when calculating their mortality rate.

No, influenza does not “become” pneumonia. Influenza doesn’t morph and become something else. It weakens the body’s immune response, and we become vulnerable to other infections. The two most common being bronchitis and pneumonia.

Finally, no, you will not see a similar increase in pneumonia and influenza cases. The CDC only reports the number of lab-confirmed cases of influenza. Most influenza goes unconfirmed. While a doctor may diagnose you with the flu, it will be recorded as an ILI. The numbers of cases the CDC has for lab-confirmed cases only reflects a percentage of actual influenza cases. Also on the same page that I linked to in this reply first, you can find a chart listing cases of ILIs as “elevated”. In order to do that, they have to have some raw data to support their label of “elevated”. That is where the overwhelming cases of influenza are. To add to this, some patients do not show up to the doctor’s office until they have symptoms of pneumonia. Their first contact with a doctor is for a diagnosis of pneumonia, not influenza. It gets recorded that the patient had an ILI prior to pneumonia.

  • In early December, I took my grandson for a doctor visit. He had a cold going into the 3rd week. The doctor said at that time she had already seen 2 different flu viruses. Fortunately it was not the flu virus in our case. We wash our hands every time we come home from school, the store and outside. We use Clorox wipes on light switches, door knobs, the phone and remotes. I spray bookbags with Lysol. We make as few trips as possible to the stores. We are in PA.
On a side note, I haven’t been able to comment for several articles now. Anyone else having trouble?

  • I avoid vaccines like the plague. I am not afraid of the flu. When I feel like I am coming down with something I immediately start using massive (MASSIVE) quantities of Vit C. I wonder how many people wouldn’t have to die unnecessarily if they had the following information?

“Now here is a well traveled highway:

    sniffle > cold > flu > pneumonia

Vitamin C can help stop this series before it starts.

The further you’ve gone down the path of sickness, the more “C” it will take to heal. The faster a locomotive is going, the more braking power it takes to stop it. Dr. Linus Pauling says to start taking more C at the very first sniffle. Good idea…

    COLDS AND FLU
Dr. Robert Cathcart says vitamin C works exceptionally well as an antiviral (and antibiotic) if you take enough. “Enough” is called “saturation,” and is indicated by loose bowels and/or intestinal gas. Try taking vitamin C until saturation is reached. ”

“Cold/Flu Cure #1: 8 grams ascorbic acid every 20 minutes. At first sign of cold or flu, begin taking at least 8 g (8000 mg) of vitamin C as ascorbic acid every twenty minutes for 3 to 4 hours until bowel tolerance. If symptoms recur, continue smaller dosages of 2-4 g every 4-6 hours for ten days to prevent recurrence.Sep 23, 2017”

Could Vitamin C Be the Cure for Deadly Infections?-By Jim Morrison-SMITHSONIAN.COM
Dr. Paul Marik, chief of the pulmonary and critical care medicine unit at Eastern Virginia Medical School is using Vit C I.V.’s to save people from dying from Sepsis. Works for colds, flu and pneumonia too. Pharma can’t make money on it so it stays a secret.

    • I have to admit, I’m a Vit C proponent when it comes to colds. I used to have my kids take 5000 mg a day when they got sick and they were over it pretty fast.

As a smoker, we all know we get sicker longer. I rarely get sick anymore or barely feel as if I’m sick, because I try to take 5000 mg a day. Love those fruit chewables..
If I start feeling like a cold is coming on, I take between 6-8000 mg a day. It works like a charm. Vit C is also water soluble, so what your body doesn’t use, it is eliminated through your urine.

    • What Vit. C are you using. The chewable taste good but too much sugar.
I’ve read the ascorbic acid isn’t as effective. I’ve used Dr. Schultz but I’m having problems swallowing those.

    • I take massive dose of vit C daily too my friend, and I’ve been taking care of sick children the past two months, children that sneeze on your face and I didn’t get sick. Vit C is a miracle.

  • I heard the question “Why can’t a new “batch” of flu vaccine be produced that is more effective. In my opinion, the pharma industry is currently attempting to push the current batch to deplete stock. After all, the whole of the pharma industry is driven by profit. So hurry and get your useless vaccine so the stock can be depleted. Next year’s batch may be better.

    • First off, I work in a hospital, albeit, in a non-clinical capacity. I never get the flu shot. I am in and out of our ED several times a day and I walk all over the facility, as needed. When I question the staff as to what cases they are “seeing” they state ” flu” as the majority of cases. Our hospital is full above capacity. Many patients and visitors can be seen wearing N95 disposable masks. I have been told many times that the patients with the flu and have had a “flu shot” are exhibiting far worse symptoms than those that have not received a shot. This doesn’t imply that there are not those that haven’t taken the shot are not worse off than those that did.

The illness is real and the numbers I see are high. The cause can be questionable. The strain can not be seen so therefore we may never know which one is the root cause of the illnesses. There are suspicions that the flu “vaccine” is exacerbating the illness (in the patients and even among the staff). That wouldn’t surprise me. Myself, I take high doses of vitamin C, D, A Selenium, to name a few and colloidal silver. In Oct. or Sept. I had a trace of flu or something. I took the aforementioned…especially the silver and I was nearly normal the next day and completely normal the day after. No illness to date. Perhaps I had a touch of the flu and now the antibodies are doing their job.

Big Pharma, CDC et. al want to make lots of money, so therefore, I don’t trust most of what the say and do. Is the reporting by the MSM a lot of hype and are the numbers inflated? Probably, just look for an agenda. Are the claims of high illness rates false? I can say, from my experience, no.

      • Wow Joe! Very interesting perspective. Thank you so much for sharing that. It’s just crazy how the population is manipulated into the flu shot business. I stopped taking it several years ago and have actually only taken it about 5 times in my 42 years. Working in the schools puts me at risk as you are too being in the hospitals. I wear my mask, take my vitamins, wash hands frequently, shower and change close immediately upon arriving home. It’s crazy out there.

  • And what are the vaccines doing? just making stronger virus strains. one of the precautions people should take is to stay away from any place pumping vaccines into people or those who have had those vaccines. I haven’t seen a study showing how many recipients of the vaccines then contract the disease but I know that a lot of those who have been shot up get very sick afterward. Vaccines are dangerous people, get your heads out of the sand

  • But all pneumonia deaths are not caused by the influenza virus… I think I missed where you adjusted your calculations for that?

  • Add Florida to the list. There are multiple school closings in north Florida. And we’ve stayed healthy through avoiding processed food and sugar (and eating lots of leafy green veggies and lemon water) and taking Elderberry Syrup and Sovereign Silver.

  • I’m seeing stats say the people that are getting the flu are ones not vaccinated . I’d really like the truth. I read 85% getting the flu are unvaccinated.

  • Since the flu virus is active ALL YEAR but only prevalent in the winter, what’s missing from the equation? SUNLIGHT! Lack of SUNLIGHT results in LACK OF VTAMIN D. Sufficient levels of the proper form of VITAMIN D result in Improved immune efficiency. VITAMIN D=NO FLU!

  • I live in the Panhandle of Idaho and I just had a close friend in the hospital for the flu because her kidneys were starting to shut down. She barely made it. The young boy I work with in the afternoons doing Behavior Intervention was out every day last week. Several years ago I had a close friend who was a total health nut, exercise freak, and the healthiest person I knew died from this particular flu. I chose to wear an N95 mask to work this year since I work in the schools, and it has helped me out tremendously. Last year I got the flu twice and had 4 colds, missing a total of 3 weeks the entire school year. I refuses to do that again. The mask looks funny and all but I do not care what people think. I am staying healthy darn it.

    • So sorry to hear about your friend. Kidney failure is not an uncommon result of the Flu vaccine. More than likely your friend got a Flu shot and is now suffering from one of the many reactions that can also cause stroke, heart failure, pneumonia, eczema, etc.

  • graphs, charts, big numbers and scary assumptions..BUT
let’s keep our heads and not run around in circles, screaming: “the sky is falling!!”
Yes, too many folks are getting sick, However we ARE being told about it and all the same rules apply regarding how to deal with the flu.
Keep your distance from others who are sick, wash your hands frequently, keep your area clean, (computer keyboards, phones, etc..), get plenty of rest, drink plenty of liquids. especially water.
If you do catch it, stay home! passing it back and forth is how it tends to wreak havoc. catching a flu virus the second time allows it to do more damage to you.

  • I do all the other things mentioned to avoid the flu and a few more. Any time I go amongst the “filthy masses” I wear a mask and have plenty of the Clorox or purell wipes with me. The mask may seem overkill but it works, it also keeps me from touching my face until after I clean my hands. The mask also has a tendency to keep people away from me, assuming I am sick. I eat quite a bit of fruit and raw veggies daily which boosts my immune system. I offer masks to visitors if they would like one and clean up after they leave . I try to do my shopping during the slack times so there are fewer people. I live in the Florida panhandle so we get plenty of warm days even in flu season so as often as possible I air out the house. I have taken the flu vaccine for years but have avoided it the past 3 years after researching what goes into them.

  • The week of November 16th, 2017 our middle TN skies were HEAVILY chemtrailed. 3 days later our entire family was sick- started with my youngest child first. That week at the walk-in clinic, the nurses said there had been 65 people in just in that morning. This happens like clockwork. We get chemtrailed, my kids get sick. Happens every single time. I believe it’s biological warfare and it is nefarious. Some group of people are doing this for an expected end and we can only pray their evil plans gets exposed.

    • Confirming your remarks, I too have observed a high correlation between chemtrail activity and respiratory illnesses. We run a HEPA filter in our house and use diffused essential oils whenever someone sniffles. Still, we travel outside sans mask and are thus exposed to the chemtrail crap. There must be a component of the chemtrails which lulls people into complacency (as does fluoride in the water supply), else by now there should be massive outcry against the poisoning of our planet and population.

  • I was lucky, i felt so bad I went to my dr. and they caught it in day 2,..Took the one med they give you and waited for a week, which is the time they stated for the meds to work. Now the fun part,….the after effects can last 3 or more weeks, so you hack, cough, feel like shit, maybe get the runs, maybe not, ……in other word, you feel like crap. Well 3 week, going on 4 and just a little bit better. So I guess I will be one of the ones it will take a month or two to get back to normal. ( 0 yes 79 years old) Now as far as the ……cdc goes……i would not trust anything they have to say. all they do push is the shot, even though it is almost useless, but if you get it, you also get all the poisons that are in it…….remember that. Well so much for that. Keep well, eat good, use some old type remedies, they seem to work a heck of a lot better then what big pharma pushes. 🙂

  • If you review the comments from the CDC chronologically, you will find they began by disrespecting the reports from Australia and the UK as their maps turned red – indicating influenza at epidemic rates – in a matter of days. Australia warned the flu coming was H3N2 – the deadliest influenza virus known to man. CDC claimed the H3N2 percentage was at a mere 8.6%, Australia said it was much higher, and today we know the percentage of H3N2 in the US is estimated at 80%. The Australians said the current vaccine was only 10% effective for H3N2, and CDC responded claiming the methods the Australians used for determining efficacy were more “pessimistic” than ours, failing to detail just how that is the case. It is not the case. They use the same test, and CDC knew this. The “test” is to give 100 people the vaccine. The percentage that do not get the flu is the percentage the vaccine is considered effective. This does not begin to approach scientific method as it may be entirely due to happenstance. No other drug is allowed on the market with this childish approach to testing. The US market for vaccinations is a $25B market. Every announcement by CDC ended with a pitch that it’s not too late to take the vaccine, that is is helpful regardless of information to the contrary, and that it has no downside risk regardless of the obvious reality that it makes one feel weak and sick during exposure to a deadly influenza outbreak. The CDC is obviously willing to pimp for the vaccine manufacturers regardless of risk to the public, they have done nothing to stem the outbreak, they gave everyone a huge false sense of security, and for their massive budget, they contribute nothing to public health while endlessly advertising for the vaccine manufacturers. Someone needs to follow that money as there are obviously kickbacks and corruption in abundance. I am appalled. I would very much like to see alternative media follow up on this. Children are dying so somebody can make a massive profit. They ran out of vaccines this year, while turning people away from clinics and emergency rooms for having been overrun with an epidemic, and they continue to lie to the public on a daily basis. Healthcare is infinitely superior in many other countries.

  • Hello
I emailed this to you but you never reply
Can you please send me the link to the CDC chart as I looked all over the site and cannot find it
Also, pneumonia is NOT the flu.
some people just get pneumonia and NOT the flu
how do you know the pneumonia deaths were entirely related to the flu??

if that were the case than the numbers would be equal wouldn’t they?
15 cases flu for example and 15 cases of pneumonia
    They are not equal.
    what am I missing here??
please don’t scare people like this-am not sure of the validity of this research until I see the link from the CDC myself and as of now, there is no link to that data you present.

    • The link to the page is included above. If you look in the section above, “Fun with Numbers” you’ll see the words “Pediatric Mortality” highlighted. That’s a link. After that, I referenced “the above page” when citing the CDC data. Here it is again. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

If you visit that page, you need to scroll down to the graphic (also included above) that says “Pneumonia and Influenza Mortality from the National Center for Health Statistics Surveillance System”. Below that picture is an option to click on that says, “View Chart Data”. When you click on that, it shows you the raw data used to make the chart, which is conveyed in percentages, as opposed to the total counts.

True, pneumonia is not the flu. However, at this time of the year, the overwhelming majority of pneumonia cases are a direct result of the flu. There is a reason the two are reported together.

No, the number of flu cases would not match the number of pneumonia cases. Not all diagnoses of flu are done by testing. The chart only includes cases confirmed by testing. I’m sure you’ve been to the doctor once or twice and were diagnosed with the flu, but they didn’t do a test to find the exact strain for confirmation. There are costs involved, and doctors just aren’t going to test every patient. That’s unreasonable.

Additionally, there are many patients who don’t go to the doctor for flu symptoms. They wait it out at home, and only go to the doctor after a more serious, secondary infection, such as bronchitis or pneumonia, sets in. So, again, you would see more pneumonia diagnoses, and none of the influenza diagnoses from this group.

  • So many people believe in the flu shots, just like they will believe in alien landings when project “Blue Beam” is used as a false flag by our government. People believe anything told by the gov.

  • The CDC’s statistics have been exposed as highly unreliable several times over, so why believe them at all? School and hospital closings are much more reliable indicators, but remember that the mass public mind has been conditioned to panic at the thought of a “pandemic” – by design. The heightened lab-confirmed flu cases bears out the story’s main point, and bears a cautionary tale. Still, the WORST possible advice was given: “Seek medical attention.”

There is NO reason to go to a poison-cut-and-burn quack if you have the flu. The American Murderers’ Association (AMA) simply has zero tools in their toolbox which will help you recover from a genuine case of the flu. Further, the things they WILL throw at you will make matters worse, making it harder for you to recover.

Finally, they will DENY you access to the things which WILL help you recover and without side effects, such as intravenous high-dose vitamin C therapy and hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy. If you’re being hit hard by the flu or flu-like illness, find yourself an alternative health practitioner who can offer you intravenous vitamin C therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Those two therapies, especially if used together, will conquer any bacterial or viral malady and set you back on your feet in a short time.

  • In conjunction with everything else, like olive leaf and sambucol, I use colloidal silver. Silver is anti-viral also.

  • Homeopathy is extremely effective for flu. While many people take Oscillococcinum at the first sign of flu, this year’s flu seems to respond well to Lycopodium in many cases. There are many other remedies that can be relevant depending on symptoms. I highly recommend having the number of a skilled homeopath at your fingertips:)

  • More and more people are waking up to the fact that the Flu shot is a crap shot/shoot. So, just more scare tactics and BS. I don’t believe it for a second. When the medical establishment says that upwards to tens of thousands, die each year from the Flu, then why would the stats for this year make them spiral out of control? Wouldn’t these deaths be business as usual? Their lies upon lies are just too obvious, now, and have gone beyond the point of ridiculous. They have dug a pit that they can’t get out of, over the yeara, and hopefully it will end up being their grave.

  • I need to go to Costco and restick my meat items for the freezer, chicken, stew meat, etc. But I really do not want to go as I’m sure it’s a hotbed of germs as so many people go through there.im thinking of ordering online and having the goods delivered.

  • you make it seem as 44000 ish deaths are caused by the flue, when its actually 2000 ish, thats a huge discrepancy.. Pneumonia is NOT the flu. While it is deadly,, The flu always is, you guys are in fact fear mongering a bit. I don’t trust the government one bit, but They are being transparent ish up in here in Canada. We all know how bad the flu is this year. They are pushing hard for vaccines just like your country.”Natural selection” at its finest. By that, i mean population control. I love your site and you mostly give great advice and articles… This one misses the boat.

  • One of the huge problems with reporting the morbidity and mortality this year has been the massive budget cuts to the agencies that work on such things. Numbers don’t crunch themselves, unfortunately. In addition, the deliberate demonization of health professionals and reduction in access to basic care has made a very bad situation worse. Throw in the lead time necessary to manufacture the vaccines, and we run into a perfect storm of “how to reenact the Great Pandemic of 1918”.
If you are immunocompromised or otherwise at risk, or work with or visit anyone at risk, the nasal spray vaccination is slightly more effective. It’s also safe for those with egg allergies.
If you’re using herbal essential oils, be careful around the kitties! I just learned about liver issues in cars exposed to certain oils- I think it was even on this site! That said, I dab Thieves Oil on my upper lip before going out, and shower when I get home.
To help boost my (darn near non extant) immune system, I use fire cider every day. About a tablespoon on my salads, or in my hot toddy.
    Be safe and stay well!

  • This particular flu is unique in that it is the final judgement of God upon the earth that is just getting started. Watch for a new stronger wave to hit Georgia and sweep accross mostly the southern states all the way to Californis and this also kills more non European white ancestry Americans than those which restores America’s rightful heiritage before so much illegal immigration began in the year of my birth 1965

    • Gregory, I believe you are right about God’s judgement. I am thinking we will face another flu pandemic such as the Spanish flu of 1918 that killed millions of people. To be perfectly honest, I am getting very scared. We need to pray that God will protect us. He will if we ask Him.

  • Up here in Canada I don’t remember hearing of even one person who got the flu this last winter, so as far as I’m concerned this whole article is BS!
