Secretary Pete’s Traffic Cameras: Are They Really About Speed Limits?

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has recently announced that there are too many traffic-caused fatalities throughout the US. The solution? The installation of millions of traffic cameras throughout the United States in order to automatically ticket those who violate speed limits and other traffic rules.

Pete’s stated goal is the complete elimination of traffic fatalities. He wants to institute policies until exactly zero Americans die per year by vehicular accidents. While keeping people from dying is a noble goal – after all, who could argue against that? – is this really what Pete and his ilk are pushing for?

Is the installation of one of the largest surveillance programs in US history truly about nothing other than traffic fatalities? Let us consider the facts:

Climate change is the new COVID.

Agenda 21 has made it very clear that the end goal is to subject the entire world to communism (“You’ll own nothing, and you’ll be happy.”). One minor goal along the way is the elimination of greenhouse gases. Nobody wants to tackle the largest worldwide culprit of greenhouse gases, but America needs to come under the thumb of a global government organization at all costs.

This is why you’re seeing the current push for eating fake meat and bugs, the push to update all of American architecture to “green” designs, and the push for electric vehicles. But Agenda 21 and the entire climate change push has never actually been about climate: it’s always been about control.

“Tackling climate change” is really about tackling both Uncle Sam and human freedom, and then slowly amputating limbs, piece by piece.

The elimination of cars helps to achieve these goals.

No, you won’t see the outright ban of vehicles. Such a notion is too far, too fast. Instead, you’ll see more and more restrictions placed upon new cars. Kill switches will be installed in the motors – controlled by the government – allegedly, “to stop theft.” Cars will be switched over to electricity rather than oil, in a move allegedly designed “to help save the planet.”

When you can’t drive, you are forced into tighter living spaces so that you can walk to get the daily necessities of life. Does it come as a surprise to anyone that the forced resettlement of humanity into small urban centers is a tenet of Agenda 21?

(You probably are going to want to read our free QUICKSTART Guide on emergency evacuations.)

But this is the long game. What are you going to see in the short run?

Did you know that Canadian officials recently announced that they tracked 33 million Canadian phones throughout Lockdown?

Did you know that Australian officials recently required the citizens they serve to download a state-run app on their phones? Citizens receive random notifications from the Australian government that they must respond to within 15 minutes. Australian citizens must take a selfie that utilizes facial recognition and geolocation to determine whether the citizen is outside of the boundary of where they are “legally” permitted to be. Failure to respond results in police being sent on their way.

Did you know that during Lockdown, Australia locked down its entire country, stating that “where you slept last night is where you’ll spend the next six weeks“?

Did you know that there was massive gridlock in Paris after the announcement of a month-long Lockdown? People were seeking to escape authoritarianism as quickly as they could. What happens when it becomes illegal to leave? What happens when they know if you took the road?

Do you have any freedom when authoritarian demands also have the power a complete Big Brother system gives? Where there is Big Brother, the cost of living free becomes dangerous.

Have you not seen this with the recent incorporation of medical passports throughout the world? Is it too hard to imagine that a nationwide, federalized traffic camera network wouldn’t actually be used to enforce speed limits, but would instead be used to ensure that you comply with new “public health” decrees?

I ask these questions to suggest the following…

I do not believe this massive network of traffic cameras has anything to do with speed limits, but everything to do with control.

They don’t care if you speed. They don’t care if you die. What they don’t want is for you to be able to ignore their authoritarian, ILLEGAL decrees. They’ve kicked out those who disagree with them from the military. They’ve kicked out those who disagree with them from society. Now, they’re gradually calling in soldiers to fill those empty positions in society. Soldiers are being installed into hospitals, installed into schools. And these are soldiers who meet the philosophical qualifications of the communist left.

They do not care about your rights. They are here to follow orders, under the notion that if a superior gives an order, it is morally correct, regardless of what that order is.

Now, you are seeing the means be installed with which it will be guaranteed you cannot leave your home without being watched. The means are being installed by which it will be guaranteed you can’t get to a grocery store, a hospital, anywhere. Once this network of traffic cameras is up and running, any hope of anonymity is gone.

You think you’ll “go underground” – engaging in a barter economy? You think you’ll open a “parallel economy?” How are you going to do that when license plate readers are at every intersection and they know who you are, your dart status, and where you live?

You can leave your phone at home, thinking you won’t be able to be tracked by Big Brother that way, but it will be to no avail. Your every step will be monitored as you drive down the road.

You think you’ll go it on foot then? What makes you think facial recognition won’t be installed in those traffic cameras? Why do you think that cameras on sidewalks wouldn’t be the next step? Would cameras on the sidewalk even be necessary? We are already seeing police officers stopping people on the street asking to see their papers.

Why do you think this won’t happen here?

The traffic cameras are not about speed limits. It never was.

Don’t fall for the lies.

What do you think? What are Secretary Pete’s traffic cameras really all about? Share your thoughts in the comments.

  • Mayor Pete is about the stupidest person they could have put in that position because he has no, AND I MEAN NO PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE in this area of our needed infrastructure maintenance. What that dumb POS is asking is that we all be placed in rubber rooms, so that no one dies from an accident, but fails to realize that in that rubber room insanity will kill more than all traffic fatalities.

If that little gay boy doesn’t stop his grandstanding he may find that when Biden is gone so will Mr. Pete Buttplug.

  • Mayor Bu#plug’s Traffic Camera Scam won’t be allowed in my city. A few years ago my city installed traffic cameras at the “most dangerous intersections” in our city with the hopes of lowering traffic accidents. It was a total failure and the city finally had the smarts to pull the cameras and pass a law stating “no Traffic Cameras are allowed to monitor traffic for the purpose of ticketing and license plate info collection.”

    • So where do you live? That sounds like a decent place. Its good when governors like Ron Desantis of Fl. have the authority to make their own state rules so that Washington can’t get involved. That is interesting…

  • The speed camera business has always been dirty. Besides speed camera companies getting caught bribing city officials to get their political OK to do installations, there has been the shortening of yellow light times to get unconscionable fines. When a city shortens that yellow light time too much, it catches drivers unfairly between one choice to get caught by ticketing while still in the intersection as the light turns red versus the choice to slam on brakes and risk getting rear ended. A few years ago in one of the west coast states an engineer ran the math (some first year high school level algebra) to expose his city’s yellow light shortening scam … and the city fought back and charged him with illegally conducting engineering analysis without a state engineering license. That’s a good example of how badly that city wanted to preserve their money grubbing racket to pad their city coffers.

Some people have rebelled with spray cans of paint to spray over such speed cameras. No way should butt-hurt Pete get his way.

  • License plate readers are at every toll plaza, many urban and suburban traffic lights, and along highways. Nothing to do with speed. Everything to do with tracking you.

Houston had “red light cameras” to autoticket you if you didn’t come to a complete stop before a red light. They were pulled when the citizens voted and made them illegal. I’m pretty sure they’re illegal statewide. In their place we have “traffic cameras,” whose supposed function is to be able to see traffic conditions and direct police to accidents. Or track supposed criminals. Who’s next? What’s next?

    • Just popped into my head. A few years ago there was a contest show that had pairs of people needing to stay hidden for thirty days in an area surrounding Atlanta. Some of the tracking teams were private security who had access to highway license plate cameras! I was shocked! First that these cameras existed, and second that non-law enforcement actually had access!

  • I can tell you in two words what these so called traffic cams are about.1.Facial 2.Recognition.Facial recognition can be defeated with a hat, bandana cover for your face or camo face paint, and mirrored shades. If the spies cannot see your face……….

  • Control is just a happy side effect for them.
Your forgetting how communities, county’s and states *need* your money.
    So primarily revenue collection.

As it is google tracks every single phone that uses google aps like gmail.
Was pretty mad when I found my driving habits for the past months tracked through my phone.
I deleted all I could but google will always have that info regardless if you think you deleted it and turned tracking off.
You can get to this info through the gmail page, it takes a bit to figure it out.

  • Or as Occam’s Razor states, the simplest explanation (traffic accidents) is probably the correct answer. Traffic cameras are used in most cities already. They tend to cut down on people speeding and going on yellow. There seems to be a lot of people who have forgotten that the Yellow light means “prepare to stop “. Maybe remedial driving class needs to happen. So more traffic cameras are probably a good thing.
Your story is interesting, but most likely a conspiracy theory.

    • Conspiracy facts they are my friend – they tried unmanned toll gates with cameras in South Africa, most funds went to Austria and the rest to government coffers as bribes.. people refused to pay so eventually its now defunct! A shotgun or pellet gun will sort cameras out fast at their costs..
Climate change – CO2 helps plants grow better! Why electric cars? Electricity is not always clean. Hydrogen car technology exists, why is this not driven by the corporate techs who fuel the governments evil plans?
There are no conspiracy theories, only facts! Nothing happens by chance and certainly no government has their peoples best interest at heart anymore! Sad actually, but we need a revolution to stop this nonsense!

  • F**k our current government. Everything is CONTROL with the DemoKKKommiecrats. This is the most malignant and Incompetent Regime ever foisted on the American people.
The time for Proactive Resistance approaches.

  • Jeff is absolutely 100% correct none of the laws or executive orders enacted by this current crop of lefty’s are designed to correct real life problems, they are designed to enforce control!

  • Traffic cameras have been deemed unconstitutional in the State of Texas. Many cities expended millions installing them and cannot use them any longer for traffic violations. I’m interested to see where this goes on a legal level.

  • Absolutely this is a contrived excuse to spy and introduce further tyrannical control. Deborah Tevares has been trying to warn people for years. The politicians eg buttkeg are only saying and pushing for what they have been told to push towards. We should be alarmed indeed. Terrible, terrible times are before us.

  • It´s about MONEY.

Sure they can (and probably will at some point) use for control. But this is primarily about FUNDRAISING.

How do I know? This speed ticket industry is decades-old here in Brazil. Only in my state more than $300.000.000 were collected in 2020 from 12.5 million tickets, even with the plandemic/lockdowns/economic slowdown).

They say it´s for safety, which makes it hard to argue against (just like vax, wokeism, etc.). And indeed there seem to be a drop in fatal accidents once speed is enforced.

It´s a moneygrab scheme basically, but it only works because folks step on the pedal. Once cities and states find out about the massive ammount of money that can be collected by speed traps everywhere, they won´t let go this tit, ever.

  • From an email:
If the current power grid can’t handle a night of 20 degree temperature without rolling blackouts, how will we plug 100 million electric cars into the grid?

Is there any country that tax their citizens and sends some of it to America?

Imagine, if you will, a world where every tweet and meme must be fact checked but not a ballot.

How to stop drunk drivers from killing sober drivers? Ban sober drivers from driving. That’s exactly how gun control works.

Can we still order black coffee? Are brownies being taken off the shelf? Is White Castle changing its name? I’m sure Cracker Barrel is screwed. Can we still play Chinese checkers? Is that season still called Indian summer? No more Italian sausages? How far do you want to go with this foolishness?

The ‘Payday’ candy bar is changing its name since it’s offensive to those who don’t work.

Hell of a job, Democrats! You’ve managed to bring back the 1918 pandemic, the 1929 depression, the 1968 race riots and the 1973 gas prices – all at the same time.

China claims the coronavirus came from an old stupid bat, but Nancy Pelosi denies being involved.

    • “If the current power grid can’t handle a night of 20 degree temperature without rolling blackouts, how will we plug 100 million electric cars into the grid?”

we won’t. the “elite”, the “deep state”, the “international financiers”, will have cars. you won’t.

  • Paintball guns should be selling well soon. Only takes a moment and requires several hours to roll a crew to clean the lens.

Make a tin foil bag for your phone for while you are traveling. Keep the phone in the bag and it can’t be located until you need to use it.

Mess with their heads every chance you get. Passive, non-violent resistance should be a part of any overall battle plan.

  • It’s a little bit about traffic tickets because it brings them revenue. So it’s about harassing you with another form of taxes, it’s about controlling and spying on you thrown in.

In short, it’s really about a tyrant’s dream come true and it should come as no surprise from a sodomite leftist who just hates your god for restricting his idea of morals and calling it evil.

  • “Does it come as a surprise to anyone that the forced resettlement of humanity into small urban centers is a tenet of Agenda 21?”

    Genesis 47:21
“As for the people, he relocated them to the cities from one end of Egypt’s border to the other.”

  • Well, you CAN “escape” to some degree from this, but it won’t be fun. You’ll have to become — or make your own — “Trennen” (German: disconnect) community, where you wear special make-up, face accessories or head-covering to mess up the face recog, and robes in special fabric to mess up the gait recog, and use only horses and buggies and other non-motorized transportation, if you don’t have to have a license for those. You’ll need to shop and get your vital services local only with cash and barter. If you want to do this, you’ll have to move to near an Amish community NOW, since they already have a (mostly) non-digital lifestyle and at least you can probably get food. Seriously. That is what it will take …

  • Traffic infractions are not crimes. Traffic charges are ex parte (derived from a one-sided or strongly biased point of view) and do not support the presumption that speeding is unsafe. – Jim Crockett Promotion, Inc v City of Charlotte, 706 F2d 486, 490-491 (CA 4, 1983).

US. SUPREME COURT DECISION – “All codes, rules, and regulations are for government authorities only, not human/Creators in accordance with God’s laws. All codes, rules, and regulations are unconstitutional and lacking due process…” [Rodriques v. Ray Donavan (U.S. Department of Labor) 769 F. 2d 1344, 1348 (1985).]

US. SUPREME COURT DECISION – The common law is the real law, the Supreme Law of the land, the code, rules, regulations, policy and statutes are “not the law”, [Self v. Rhay, 61 Wn (2d) 261]

US. SUPREME COURT DECISION – “For a crime to exist, there must be an injured party. There can be no sanction or penalty imposed upon one because of this exercise of Constitutional rights.” – [Sherar v. Cullen, 481 F. 945.]

  • Understand the driving is a privilege and not a right and that “public” is just that and most of y’all live under constant surveillance anyway and even install it yourself or cause it to trigger.

Every single time you comment on this or any other site that little number tells all bout you and your location.
Every time you use your card or phone to pay. Don’t matter if it’s at the feed store or Starbucks.
Just like the traffic report that tells you how long it takes to get from point A to B. They gather data from your cell phone as you pass the points and do the math.
Every time you drive past a cop if the have a license plate reader you trigger it and the LPR records it.
All those door bell cameras, store cameras.

We are on our way to autonomous vehicles that will obey the laws and the cameras will not be a thing. They won’t be a thing anyway as some have pointed out that state laws already cover them not being there. The feds will try and force the issue with threats of funding just like the 55mph national speed limit that didn’t work either which was only about control.
As of now there is nothing more than an idea there’s no funding and no law.

  • Hopefully enough people in Congress will realize the insidiousness of this proposal and will stop it before it even gets to be voted on in the Senate.

  • People need to cut their addiction to their phones, I happily leave my phone at home when I go out so not to have to deal with it. I also keep my location services turned off, I don’t bank or make purchases with it, I also take the time to opt out of everything I can and won’t install any apps with invasive permissions.

As for traffic cameras, they already make devices that either cover your plates or flip them up with the push of a button. I wouldn’t have much to worry about from the police where I live because they hardly exist anymore and have been neutered to the extent they’re shell shocked and don’t do their jobs, hence drug addicts and criminals having free run of the city, not that this is the fault of the police.
