Amazon Memorial Day Sale: Best Deals for Preppers

(Psst: The FTC wants me to remind you that this website contains affiliate links. That means if you make a purchase from a link you click on, I might receive a small commission. This does not increase the price you'll pay for that item nor does it decrease the awesomeness of the item. ~ Daisy)

Amazon is launching the Memorial Day Sale early this year to give more opportunities to save. I found several deals that seem quite worthwhile, though many others were disappointing.

It would really help the website out a lot if you use this link to visit the sale: https://amzn.to/3SHCwjX

It costs you nothing extra, but The OP gets a small commission on any of your purchases.

Now, on to what I’ve found. Remember, some of these deals are time sensitive or are only while supplies last. At the time of publication, all items were available at the sale prices.

Raised garden bed

Check out this galvanized metal raised garden bed – you can save 43% while the deal is going on.

Solar generator

The Bluetti 1000W solar generator is high quality and very well reviewed. You can save 45% on this portable genny and it works well for household items, recharging devices, and other small electronic needs.

Cooling down

I live for cooling towels in the summer. I absolutely despise being hot and these towels are a great way to cool off – you just get them wet, snap them, and apply them for an instant refresh. Here’s a fantastic deal for a 4-pack. I keep them in my trunk, with my gardening tools, and another set with my summer power outage gear.

Another great cool-down option is a portable, rechargeable, battery-operated cooling fan.

Handheld ham radio

Check out this Baofeng handheld ham radio set. It’s a great way to get started with ham radio at an affordable price.

Freeze-dried food

Here are some steals of deals on freeze-dried, shelf-stable foods:

Strawberries

Apple slices

Diced chicken

Vegetable medley

30-Day Food Bucket

Water filtration

These water filtration devices are currently on sale.

Lifestraw in a nice portable case

4-pack of straw-type water filters from a lesser-known brand

Lifestraw-to-go stainless steel filtered water bottle (this costs a bit more, but I’ve had mine since 2019 and take it every time I travel to filter my tap water. It’s especially useful to take empty through the TSA and then fill with an airport water fountain instead of paying $7 for bottled water at the shops.)

Headlamps

My favorite power outage light source is the humble headlamp. They’re great for hands-free work, walking outdoors in the dark, or reading.

Rechargeable headlamp set

Battery-operated headlamp set

What do you think?

Have you found any good deals? Are the ones listed here still available? Help me keep this post up to date by adding to it in the comments section.

  1. Hi Daisy,

I love these articles and the community that you’ve built in the past 12-15 years. Would you mind posting the link from Amazon for the Kelly Kettle Scout, and the Sawyer Mini water filter? After a lot of research I will be buying these as gifts, but would like to support you and TOP through buying them from your portal if possible.

Thanks again for all you do!
