We usually don’t discuss politics here at The Organic Prepper, but when I heard that Joe Biden officially entered the 2020 Presidential race, I just had to say something.

Okay – a lot of things.

There are myriad reasons Biden is not fit to be president. Here are six of them.

Joe Biden is like that creepy uncle you avoid at family functions.

I find it extremely odd that many of the same people who lambasted Donald Trump over (admittedly inappropriate and rather disgusting) things he has said about women are just fine with Biden’s touchy-feely antics, particularly when young girls are the victims.

Despite the fact there are hours of video footage showing Biden behaving badly, many folks on the left continue to make excuses for him.

The following is one of the many video compilations of Biden touching women and children.

In this video, you’ll see Biden former Attorney General Jeff Sessions swat pervy Joe’s hand away from his granddaughter:

Lucy Flores is one of the few Democratic politicians who has spoken out about Biden’s handsy-ness. When she was preparing to give one of her final stump speeches in a race for lieutenant governor in Nevada in 2014, she got Bidened:

“Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?” Flores wondered.

Flores recounts her experience with Joe Biden in a first-person essay for New York magazine, describing an incident in 2014 when Biden came up behind her, leaned in, smelled her hair, and kissed the back of her head.

“Biden was the second-most powerful man in the country and, arguably, one of the most powerful men in the world,” Flores wrote. “He was there to promote me as the right person for the lieutenant governor job. Instead, he made me feel uneasy, gross, and confused.” (source)

Biden defended his history of invading personal space and unwanted touching in a short video he shared on Twitter recently.

He lied about his first wife’s death.

Neilia and Naomi Biden – Joe’s first wife and their baby daughter, respectively – were killed in a car accident in 1972. The late Mrs. Biden drove into a busy intersection, into the path of an oncoming truck driven by a man named Curtis Dunn. An investigation found Dunn was not at fault for the crash, but that didn’t stop Joe from telling some pretty blatant lies about the man, as Jack Fowler explains in The Most Disturbing Thing About Joe Biden:

It was a heartbreaking story all around, and with officials leaving no doubt of the truck driver’s complete innocence, what was the point of doing or saying anything more than letting Neilia and Naomi Biden rest in peace? As for Joe Biden, the tragedy was so utter that the accident’s circumstances were best left unremarked. Never mind unembellished.

For some reason, the evidence shows, in the early 2000s, Joe Biden began to remark in public that his wife had died at the hands of someone who “allegedly . . . drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch.” That Curtis Dunn “was an errant driver who stopped to drink.” That drunk-driver story spread into news accounts. The Dunn family, who had strong sympathy for Biden, was shocked by the sullying of their now-dead father. They wrote the senator and asked him to stop and reminded him of the exonerating investigation.

Per a 2010 Biden profile in The Atlantic:

For many years, he described the driver of the truck that struck and killed his first wife and their daughter in December 1972 as drunk, which he apparently was not. The tale could hardly be more tragic; why add in a baseless charge? The family of the truck driver has labored to correct the record, but Biden made the reference to drunkenness as recently as 2007, needlessly resurrecting a false and painful accusation.

This is truly disturbing. But by our current standards, hair-sniffing rates condemnation, while the false accusation of an innocent dead man, and the embellishment of a personal tragedy — could the Biden tragedy be more tragic? — are forgotten and/or ignored. (source)

While the deaths of loved ones are always tragic, that does not justify Biden telling a significant and damaging lie about the event.

But then…

He has lied about other things, too.

According to fact-checking site PolitiFact, Biden’s record is pretty bad: out of 79 statements the site investigated, he told the truth only 16% of the time and mostly told the truth 17% of the time.

One of the most troubling lies Biden told was about the attack on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya that resulted in the deaths of US ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.

On Thursday, October 11th, 2012, during the vice presidential debate, Biden said:

“We weren’t told they wanted more security there.”

We know this is not true, based on the testimony of Eric Nordstrom, who was the regional security officer for Libya in the months before the attack. In a July cable, he said he wanted 12 guards plus military trainers. Nordstrom said he told his superiors that the embassy mission needed more armed security – twice.

Biden also took solo credit for ending genocide in Bosnia, but in reality, he was one of many who called for an end to the war there.

Biden played a central role in controversial criminal justice policies.

“When he was a senator from Delaware, Biden supported most every tough-on-crime policy you can imagine, from mandatory minimums to civil asset forfeiture to an expanded death penalty. He was one of the chief architects of the 1994 crime bill that helped usher in an era of mass incarceration,” Reason reported.

Biden was also the primary author of the 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act (sometimes called the Biden Crime Bill) which increased federal sentences, created mandatory minimum sentences for some crimes, and dedicated more money to building prisons and hiring cops.

The bill is often blamed for the explosion in the prison population and leading to our current era of mass incarceration. (source)

For more on this, take a look at this detailed article: Joe Biden’s controversial criminal justice record, explained

Earlier this year, Biden expressed some regrets about his role in the drug war and mass incarcerations, but it’s a bit late for apologies – both have resulted in the destruction of thousands of lives.

He pushed policies that deprive men of due process.

Biden was at the forefront of the Obama administration’s efforts to force colleges to adjudicate sexual misconduct under new standards that were horribly unfair to the accused. He was a leading spokesperson for the White House mission of changing the culture around consent norms, reports Politico:

In April 2011, Biden and Education Secretary Arne Duncan announced the release of a bombshell letter, with the bland greeting “Dear Colleague,” to the country’s 4,600 institutions of higher education. It laid out new directives for how campuses were to root out and punish sexual assault. It was the beginning of a concerted effort that radically remade how students could interact sexually, with severe penalties for those who violated increasingly expansive codes of conduct. The accused were to be judged under the lowest standards of evidence, the definitions of misconduct were widely broadened, third-party reports could trigger an investigation even if the alleged victim did not think there had been a violation, and more. Title IX is the federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education. Under Obama administration insistence, college offices tasked with administering Title IX became vast and powerful bureaucracies, and students were encouraged to report any perceived violation. (source)

Male students punished under the system he helped to create have been increasingly fighting back, the Politico report explains:

They have filed more than 400 civil suits, contending that they have been unfairly accused and deprived of their rights. These suits have been getting increasingly favorable—sometimes outraged—rulings from judges. In a recent City Journal article, historian KC Johnson points out that “Biden responded with fury to Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos’ attempts to create fairer procedures for adjudicating campus sexual-assault claims.” (source)

Reason has covered Title IX cases for years. To read more about how damaging this policy has been to young men, see their archives here.

Biden claims to be “Middle-Class Joe” but is anything but.

It isn’t unusual for politicians to be far wealthier than the average American. Politicians lying to gain favor among the masses isn’t anything new, either.

But Biden is a special case. He often refers to himself as Middle-Class Joe, but he is anything but. He has a $2.7 million vacation home, charges more than $100,000 per speaking gig, and has a book deal that is likely worth seven figures.

“Another house that Biden bought in Wilmington, Del., for $350,000 in 1996 is now worth almost $1.9 million, according to an estimate by the real estate website Zillow. The Bidens rent a third home in Virginia, near the community college where Jill Biden teaches,” according to Politico.

  • I agree that Biden has no business running for president for multiple reasons. This article I think is a pretty well-thought-out stance regarding this particular topic/reason. What I don’t understand is, how can folks who are supporters of Trump be so critical of Biden while simultaneously being absolutely unwilling to hold Trump up to any sort of moral standard at all? He has done the same or worse than Biden. Trump is literally on video and audio saying and doing some really incredibly disgusting, rude, crude, sexually exploitive and abusive things. I agree that Biden is creepy, and has done some ugly and messed up things. My question is, why and how can anyone who is willing to call out Joe Biden for his behavior even possibly be willing to consider supporting Trump after everything that he has displayed? That’s hypocritical. It boggles my mind. I don’t care who is a democrat or republican or whatever, I care about decency and respect… I think Biden would be a terrible president, but Trump is also a terrible president, and I have a hard time understanding how folks who still support him can’t see that.

    • I agree with you regarding Trump – I personally am not a fan. I’ve long been a libertarian and find most politicians repulsive.

    • Thank you Sarah! I totally agree and would never support either one. As an Independent, I vote for both parties pretty equally, but have always considered Trump a disgusting, disturbed, narcissist and don’t understand why anyone would continue to support him.
I can’t see Biden as being a good president either.

    • Trump has NEVER done things biden has done. I have watched numerous videos of biden caressing the breasts of young girls, and kissing the wives of other men and putting his hands all over them. I have never seen Trump do any of that. You must be a communist democrat!

      • Amen – Biden is also shielding his pedophile son from prosecution, colluding with China and Big Tech to transfer
hundreds of thousands of jobs to foreign countries – mostly China. He wants to get rid of all the Trump tax cuts so, when he says he will not raise taxes? That’s a blatant lie. If the tax cuts go away, what do you think happens? Joe is also a pedo – the fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree. Trump has helped fix the crime bill that Biden infested our nation with and has gotten many people released from prison for unjust sentences. We are ENERGY INDEPENDENT for the first time in history people! Do you remember high gas prices? I do and I don’t want them back. I want to employ Americans for Americans. Seriously, this can’t be any easier of a decision. VOTE! The Red Wave is coming today!

    • Joe biden is terrible president because hes spending money on stupid shit, and donald trump is a good president because he helps us and he knows what he is doing..

  • Biden was instrumental in passing laws restricting access to the bankruptcy process, including making it impossible to discharge student loan debt in bankruptcy.

Not sure what Biden’s story has to do with prepping, except that his actions might initiate civil insurrection.

How about Phony Joe as a moniker-he certainly is not a 2nd amendment proponent

  • Make a wish

I met a magical fairy yesterday who said she would grant me just one wish.

“I wish to live forever,” I said.

“Sorry,” said the fairy, “That is the only wish that I’m not allowed to grant.”

“Fine,” I said, “then I want to die the day after Congress is filled with honest, hard-working, bipartisan men and women who act only in the people’s best interests!”

“You crafty little bastard,” replied the fairy

  • Joe Biden’s health records need to be publicly disclosed since he is running for President.
In 1988, he experienced a ruptured brain aneurysm causing subarachnoid hemorrhage or a brain bleed.
He did survive, but it was a serious, life threatening event.
He had brain surgery and I think they clipped the aneurysm (bulge in a blood vessel) to prevent further bleeding, and then later had a second operation to clip a brain aneurysm on the other side of the brain.
He survived, but I think I have read that he himself said the neurosurgeon telling him about the operations said there would be a less than 50% chance he would be completely normal after all that happened, including the bleeding and operations.
The behavior that Joe Biden has exhibited could be related to the effects of the brain hemorrhage.
If Joe Biden experienced brain damage, judgement could be affected, which would be important if you’re president.

  • Hmmm, he sounds a bit like the current president. Except that, Mr. Trump has told far more lies.
It appears that Mr. Biden is a “toucher.” He feels the need to communicate through touching. Most people are not. There is no evidence, as there is in the case of Mr. Trump, that Biden’s touching when further. He has not learned to control it.

If we are to take Biden’s legislative record, then he has issues that he has hopefully changed his views about. If we were to take his “Middle-class” attitude, then his moniker is wrong.

However, given the two back to back on the ticket, I feel that Biden is the lesser of the two evils – he at least does not seem to work for his own selfish outcome. He is not disrespectful of the ret of the world.

    • Biden isn’t communicating through touch. He is groping. There is no reason to communicate with many of the children he was groping. What’s wrong with you?

    • I disagree that Biden is the lesser of the two evils (the left with their socialist leanings is evil-socialism is pure evil) but why vote for evil at all? Biden has caused far more harm to this country than Trump. However, we’re not going to have an honest uncorrupted president until major changes take place. I think that our country, and indeed the world, needs to experience a complete breakdown of everything to sweep away the moneyed elite bankers who run the world, and own nearly every politician of both sides, by the short hairs.

  • Joe is an empty suit that has occupied space in the District of Corruption for years and has nothing to show for it.

  • Joe Buffoon Biden charms a lot of gullible people and because of that has a good chance to win the Primary. While he is a skilled politician, Trump should be able to dispatch him in the General….except for all the lunatic Damnocrats.

  • Does anyone remember why Donald Trump was elected? It appears no one does because all they can talk about is his past history. Of course, it’s sordid. Of course, he’s all the things people say he is. But we knew all of this going in and he was elected anyway. Why? Because the voters felt Hillary’s crimes were worse. But the election of Trump was not just about the character of the two people running; it was also about their policies and beliefs about the direction our country should go and had been going with Obama in charge. We didn’t like that direction – so we voted for Trump. He made campaign promises (they all do), but he has kept a LOT of them.

So my question to all of you is: Why can’t you look at the policies and promises that Trump has made (and kept!) and compare them with what the new contestants for president are offering?

We know Trump’s faults and sins – he won – let it go. Now is the time to factor in, if you choose, the faults and sins of the people who want to be our next president.

But more important than their sins and faults, what are they promising to do for this country? Biden will be Obama II, although he’s not nearly as smart and charming as Obama. The rest will give us higher taxes, abolish ICE, free education and medical care (which we know is impossible to sustain), abolish the 2nd amendment, and turn this country into a socialist workers “paradise”.

It’s time, people, to think with your reason and common sense instead of your emotions!

  • Dagny, Good job reporting. I will pass it along, and I would like more corruptness on creepy uncle joe. How he , his son, and brother criminal path runs.
I am going to try and expose the other candidates for what they maybe, or their worthiness for consideration if that should be the case for the office of President. I think President Trump will be hard to beat, however.

President T “rump is the first President the Country has had that keeps his word. As the Indians would say there is Iron in his words “.

    God Bless and Protect America.

    Richard Lewis

  • I am copying your statement Joan and using it on my facebook page. Thank you very much (I edited some of the words out, like the word But).

  • Joe Biden is NOT fit to be Commander In Chief, he is a puppet on a string for sure. Seems Barak Obama might be assisting somehow and that for sure is disturbing. “We the People” really need to be concerned about how this government is being run. They are supposed to be working for us and obviously that is not the case at all! They are working for THEMSELVES and that is it. Not to mention if we do get to VOTE in the future its not even going to matter. So sad to watch this so called government ruin our country that so many men and women have fought for! We need a Commander In Chief that is going to protect, respect and work for the United States of America! Democrat or Republican, just a man or a woman that is decent and has respect for the American People!
