Originally a textile dye, methylene blue is now one of the most researched mitochondrial enhancers in modern health science.

What makes it so powerful?

  • Boosts energy (ATP) production inside your cells*
  • Improves oxygen efficiency in the brain and muscle tissue*
  • Crosses the blood-brain barrier to support memory and focus*
  • Neutralizes oxidative stress, helping with recovery and immune function*
  • Buffers lactic acid and delays fatigue during workouts*

Let’s dive into the research.

Is it a “wonder supplement?”

With these benefits, methylene blue supports both mental clarity and physical performance, all from the inside out.

It’s no surprise that methylene blue is becoming a favorite in the biohacking world, used by individuals seeking to sharpen their edge, boost longevity, and take control of their health.

Remember when RFK Jr was drinking that mysterious blue beverage on the campaign trail? That was methylene blue.

As RFK Jr appointee Dr. Robert Malone writes:

“Methylene blue increases cellular oxygen consumption, enhances oxidative phosphorylation, and promotes mitochondrial activity while reducing anaerobic metabolism… Cognitive enhancement appears to be the main reason people take it.” — Robert W. Malone, MD, MS

His deep dive into methylene blue outlines its growing reputation in alternative and integrative medicine:

  • Supports memory and mental clarity*
  • Boosts energy by repairing mitochondria*
  • Acts as an antioxidant + neuroprotectant*
  • Shows promise in infection, cancer, and inflammation research*
  • Pairs well with red light therapy for mitochondrial synergy*

Dr. Malone is reaching the same conclusions as many other medical freedom advocates:

When I first read in mainstream media about HHS Secretary Kennedy being videotaped on a plane ingesting methylene blue, I was gobsmacked. I used methylene blue for various histopathological techniques in pathology and as a professor/researcher years ago, so I didn’t think of it as anything but a dye or pigment.

I decided to go deeper into the use of methylene blue as a supplement, and was blown away by the information I found. I became convinced that this compound, at the appropriate dose, can provide multiple benefits to human health.

The article is really a fascinating read if you want to learn more.

Earlier this year, methylene blue hit the mainstream after it was discovered that MAHA celebrities like Mel Gibson, Joe Rogan, and even RFK Jr himself take methylene blue.

Few men have defied the effects of Father Time better than that trio so it wasn’t surprising that everyone is looking for more information on methylene blue.

How can you get methylene blue?

Is this something you’d want to try? I found a source for it, and you know it’s high quality if it comes from here.

The medical experts at The Wellness Company – like Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Kelly Victory – were leaders in the efforts to provide the public with accurate medical information during COVID. These experts have repeatedly shown that they prioritized the health and welfare of their patients over the bottom line of the big pharmaceutical companies.

Now The Wellness Company are making methylene blue available to you at home with a product called RECHARGE!

RECHARGE your cells with the first-ever combination of Methylene Blue and Urolithin A. It is suggested to  enhance cognitive function and ultimate mitochondrial health.

From sharper thinking to stronger cells, methylene blue enhances how your brain and body perform by enhancing mental clarity and focus, supporting blood flow, and increasing ATP production.

Urolithin A promotes healthy aging by activating mitophagy. Mitophagy helps the body to recycle and rebuild mitochondria (the powerhouses of your cells) and enhances the benefits of Methylene Blue.

RECHARGE has been scientifically formulated with research-backed ingredients to enhance mental clarity and focus and support ultimate mitochondrial health. Methylene Blue and Urolithin A are a powerful combo with potent antioxidants for healthy, youthful cells.

The Wellness Company product comes in tablet form, allowing you to enjoy the benefits without the blue tongue associated with drinking the liquid. If you suffer from slowed cognition, arthritis, low energy, mouth pain, and cancer, all are linked to positive research with methylene blue. You can check out the product here.

Have you ever tried it?

Have you tried methylene blue? Did you have good results? Did you have any unpleasant side effects? Is it something you’re curious about adding to your supplement regimen?

Let’s talk about it in the comments section.

  1. You mean Peter Thiel’s Wellness Company. Should look into that company. Amazing Polly has done some deep digging into them.

    1. Yup. Some shady stuff going on there. But, yes – I have tried MB with good results and no side effects at 5 mg per day. Warning tho … if you take SSRI antidepressants, do not take MB.

  2. Dear Daisy,
This is widely used down here in Venezuela, to promote the healing in wounds and in painful small lip ulcers. Including myself, back in the day. So I guess it works for this.

  3. When my mom had dementia 4 years ago, an alternate doctor prescribed MB. She has since passed, however I researched it then and have been using it since. You have to pay attention to your blood pressure if it runs high and modify your dose accordingly. I use it to boost the effectiveness of my Red Light. I put the liquid into capsules so it doesn’t get my mouth and tongue blue. It also should not be taken with black seed oil as that also affects seratonin levels. Alternate between if using both. I get mine from Mike Adams Health Ranger store and it is much cheaper then the Wellness. Company. Make sure you buy it for human use. Great product!

  4. Unsupervised MB use can have serious side effects. From a Perplexity search:

Serious health issues that can occur with unsupervised methylene blue use include:

Serotonin syndrome, a potentially life-threatening condition caused by excess serotonin in the brain, especially if taken with antidepressants or other serotonergic drugs. Symptoms include confusion, rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure, muscle rigidity, tremors, fever, seizures, and can be fatal.

Severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis, which can cause difficulty breathing, swelling of face or throat, rash, hives, and require emergency medical attention.

Hemolytic anemia, particularly in people with G6PD deficiency, where methylene blue causes dangerous breakdown of red blood cells leading to symptoms like fatigue, pale skin, and dark urine.

Neurological effects including confusion, agitation, dizziness, headache, and potential brain toxicity at high doses or with improper use.

Cardiovascular complications such as chest pain, rapid or irregular heartbeat, abnormal blood pressure that require urgent medical care.

Toxicity from overdose or contaminated non-pharmaceutical grades causing bluish discoloration of skin, lips, urine, blurred vision, burning or tingling sensations, and other severe symptoms needing emergency intervention.

Gastrointestinal upset like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, usually dose-related but can be distressing.

Improper or prolonged use can also lead to cumulative toxicity affecting liver and kidneys, and risk of serious side effects rises with doses above recommended therapeutic levels. Methylene blue is FDA-approved only for certain medical uses and should be taken only under medical supervision to avoid these serious health risks.

In summary, unsupervised methylene blue use can cause severe and potentially fatal conditions mainly involving serotonin syndrome, allergic reactions, hemolytic anemia, neurological and cardiovascular toxicity, and overdose effects. Medical oversight is essential to minimize these risks

    1. Perplexity Seach is just an AI generated “fact checker” that we all know its motives.. like any medication taken, it needs to be taken with caution, not like the covid jab that was freely dispersed into the worlds population with dire consequences not told to us by these AI fact checkers!

    2. Dr. Peter Breggin, renowned psychiatrist warns about serotonin syndrome and he said recently it’s the mother of all opioids. Do your research. Be careful.

  5. While I have heard some positive things online, not by anybody I personally know… I wouldn’t touch the stuff! I’ve heard much more negative from natural health providers. I also trust nothing that RFK is involved with!
