SELCO: “It’s all semantics. A survivalist today might be called a terrorist tomorrow.”

When I started this article, I read that Tom Cruise at the FIFA World Cup final said: “So as we gather for one final chapter, let us celebrate a tournament that brought the world together. Let us celebrate each other. This is football. This is unity. This is greatness.”

If we want to summarize where we are now, we can use this statement and the whole FIFA Cup as an example.
This year is f….d up, just like this false statement.

We have an expression here that goes „Selo gori a baba se ceslja“ which means “the village is burning while granny is combing her hair.” It is similar to Nero fiddling while Rome burns.

I am not (that) grumpy to hate football, but I do despise empty speeches about world unity, and bringing everyone together, goodwill and spirit, and similar phrases while the same world is burning with two pretty large conflicts, and there is not enough goodwill on either side to stop it.

Actually, there is will, means, and a lot of chances to deepen the conflict and make it geographically larger and more horrific.

There is another handy Roman saying for this moment: “bread and circuses“, which basically means provide people with cheap entertainment and (basic) food, and you can rule them.

Again, I am not saying that the FIFA World Cup is a conspiracy to keep us enslaved; I am saying that the whole event (in its core) is pretty much hypocritical for many reasons. It is hypocritical just like that short speech about world unity, and it is hypocritical just like the whole situation in the world.

Where we are now

If we want to summarize where we are now, we can use this statement and the whole FIFA Cup as an example of where we are now.

“A single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic.” Stalin

While historians argue whether Stalin really said the above words, they do come in handy at this time (again).

Did you notice that wars worldwide slowly (but surely) bring that fear, hate, and dehumanization on a very large scale, on a world scale?

I mentioned dehumanization in my history events, here in the region, as a warning about how things, through the (carefully planned) process, can start some very bad events. Mass murders on a large scale.

Now we have it in big world events (wars), and I am really scared where that might lead us.

I am scared that might lead us to massive tragic events through a nuclear holocaust or similar things.

Yeah, sounds a bit unrealistic, but in essence it is not. A Lot of things that sounded unrealistic 20 years ago today sound realistic. Problem is, in fact, that people do not want to believe in the possibility of that.

Are we close to the possibility of an event where the death of hundreds of thousands of people, or even millions, in one or two events might be pictured as a necessity? A statistic?

And if that happens, what events will follow, what gates of hell will be opened then, when all “rules“ are out, when clearly all can be “solved“ with force on larger and smaller scale?

Apocalypse?

Yes, I know, through the whole of history problems eventually were solved through the wars. You might say that nothing changes.
BUT, at least we were TRYING to have some rules on an international level. We used to have big players who tried to impose rules (successfully or not, honestly or not).

Even trying or “making up“ the rules from big players – even if the attempts were successful, because they paint the picture of some kind of order-what is right or wrong.

Nobody is really to end conflicts.

My impression now is that nobody is trying, so as a result everyone at the same time is saying, “Why should I try“?

Big wars will bring small wars, and basically a situation where the stronger oppresses the weaker. Without help, without rules. Even partially good rules.

“Tyranny naturally arises out of democracy” Plato

In many places and countries in the world, it is where we are now – democracy waiting to become tyranny.

Some regions are more or less in the process, but eventually we are all there.

If I want to strip it down to essence, Plato’s above statement is about democracy bringing too much “freedom “, because people tend to look for “absolute rights and freedoms“. It eventually brings out all kinds of s..t “wrapped” in rights and freedoms, so society goes into social disorder more or less.

Eventually  a “saviour“ emerges, who promises to solve all problems, but guess what he turns out to be?

A tyrant, not a saviour.

So then there is Tyranny.

Sounds familiar with all problems in every “western modern“ country?

Too much s..t we took for granted, too much s..t we took as a rights and freedoms, too much…so stuff started to “fail“.

It depends who portrays themself as a “fixer“ of problems whether it will be good or it will be a bigger problem?

I am not writing about any particular country…I am writing about any modern country today. With everything that is happening, where are we?

Combine all the wars, the dehumanization, and everything, and think, what we can expect for ordinary folks?

I know one thing. When rights and freedoms start to be stripped down, it is a process that is hard to stop. So even if you welcome taking down some of the “rights and freedoms“ be careful what you wish for. The  process most probably will come for your rights and freedoms, too!

Survival today

Not too many things have changed about survival. If you were a survivalist, then you are a survivalist today too, no matter how bad the situation looks worldwide.

Just one reminder (again). No matter what political party you are, where and in what part of the world you live, who you support and why… always remember one word: semantics.

Just think of it as semantics.

The freedom fighter of today is the oppressor of tomorrow. Rights and freedoms today are insults tomorrow. What is seen as good today might be seen as bad tomorrow.

Good and evil, right and wrong…

So…a survivalist today might be a terrorist tomorrow. You showing a new gun to someone might make you a man in prison tomorrow.

It is now more important than ever for you to understand that things change, and they change overnight.

Stay silent.

Be careful.
