Things have changed a lot for me over the past few years, and I’ve written about how I’m navigating the world differently before. But dealing with loss, change, and hardship is not just a physical thing.
It’s also mental.
You have to push through. You have to keep going. If you can’t get past the difficulties one way, then you have to try another way.
This video by Brian Duff, the author of the excellent book Mind 4 Survival: How to Face Any Crisis, Minimize Unwanted Struggle, and Live Your Best Possible Life (which I strongly recommend here in my review), really resonated with me, and I think you’ll enjoy it too.
How do you keep going?
Do you have advice for those going through hard times? Have you gone through a period of time that was so difficult you weren’t sure you’d get through it? Did you find the video inspiring? How do you keep going when times get difficult?

Thanks for posting this video. Daisy. It really did inspire me because I’m at my wits end. I am in Texas Hill country where it’s flooded and I am very distraught over these poor children and people that have perished and quite a few still missing. It is extremely devastating for our community.
We’ve been pulling together as a community to help those in most dire need but I can’t do much at present time physically due to I caught razor throat China virus which has turned into pneumonia and I have been on unpaid fmla for 3 weeks at my job which is where this super bug keeps getting recycled and is antibiotic resistant.
So today, I am finally feeling well enough and am headed to mental health counseling, chiropractor, and then to my building of doom at work to quit. I am waging war today. I have called new braunfels city board of health to go inspect that building because there is mold in it and the maintenance keeps painting over it. I’ve also made report to osha and going to call Carrie Issac our state rep in regards to this as well as protesting aqua texas water company because they r fining us for using our water up here in texas hill country because we’re in a drought yet they r selling our water . Long story , but there is a battle going on up here to take our land and they r doing an Asheville on us.
I’ve been seeing these horrid evil posts on X about the floods and how it was little white girls who died and we got what we had coming since we r a red state. Thems fighting words here in Texas and we do not stand for it and there’s a bunch of us making these drs and other people who said this , (yes doctors said this stuff on X, tik tok, fascist book, tik tok) be held accountable. I will post the links later on here so that yall can see and possibly call or email these companies , etc to protest with us.
Sorry to ramble. N thanks for letting me share. I will NOT give up and this is the hill I’ll die on.
Antibiotics do not work on anything virus. What you need is an antiviral. I will not mention what I use- and it works- but it is pretty well known and you can find protocols on IMAHealth. org Do some research. You will find that when you feel better, you will have a stronger mental health.
Never ring the bell.
Thanks so much. My coworker just told me what she takes, which is what I suspect you take, and I’m ordering right now. I have had such brain fog that dummy me totally forgot. Thanks so much. N also dummy me thought I had on hand n apparently not.
I’m so sorry you’ve been sick and are having to battle the water company. I believe that most companies, corporations, school boards, colleges/universities, the media, governmental offices and utilities will do anything they can get away with. And even when they’re opposed, they usually just double down. It only takes one woke rat on any board to ruin any organization, including churches. Everyone else just gets weak-kneed at the thought of standing up against them. So, good for you and I really hope you’re successful.
I 💯 agree with you. I went down that local rabbit hole and am appalled. I didn’t get to Carrie Issac office yesterday, but going to try to make it in today or tomorrow. Because now that I’ve quit my cabal job yesterday, I can actually devote my time to helping her fight the local cabal.
Looking at history, and my own personal experience, I would say the greatest motivation to keep going is not exactly self preservation but rather the preservation and “health” of something greater you are fully committed to. All historical figures, from Mahatmas to Evil Dictators, most all global religions , utilize this selfless aspect of our social species.
Getting up at 3am to walk your dog in the winter rain is a “ordinary “ example. Sacrificing for your children is another.
Thanks. Needed this too. My anger is furling me to fo something different instead of sitting around complaining.
Thank you. I needed this reminder.
I think of this quote I read “Slowly, silenty I raise my middle finger.” Sums up my life philosophy.
