Tensions are high regarding vaccines lately.

Due to a measles outbreak in the United States, frightened people are pushing an agenda to take an important medical decision out of the hands of parents. They’re calling for federally mandated vaccines. They’re calling for the shaming of parents who have chosen not to vaccinate their children.

The hysteria is running high, fueled by fear and memes.

Whether you opt to vaccinate or not to vaccinate, I think we can agree we all want what’s best for our children.

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons opposes federally mandated vaccines.

An important letter was presented last week to the Senate subcommittee that is discussing federal laws that force parents to vaccinate their children. The statement below is from The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, and they have come out strongly in opposition to the possibility of federally mandated vaccines.

No matter what your opinion is on vaccinating children, please read this.

Re: Statement federal vaccine mandates

Feb. 26, 2019

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) strongly opposes federal interference in medical decisions, including mandated vaccines. After being fully informed of the risks and benefits of a medical procedure, patients have the right to reject or accept that procedure. The regulation of medical practice is a state function, not a federal one. Governmental preemption of patients’ or parents’ decisions about accepting drugs or other medical interventions is a serious intrusion into individual liberty, autonomy, and parental decisions about child-rearing.

A public health threat is the rationale for the policy on mandatory vaccines. But how much of a threat is required to justify forcing people to accept government-imposed risks? Regulators may intervene to protect the public against a one-in-one million risk of a threat such as cancer from an involuntary exposure to a toxin, or-one-in 100,000 risk from a voluntary (e.g. occupational) exposure. What is the risk of death, cancer, or crippling complication from a vaccine? There are no rigorous safety studies of sufficient power to rule out a much lower risk of complications, even one in 10,000, for vaccines. Such studies would require an adequate number of subjects, a long duration (years, not days), an unvaccinated control group (“placebo” must be truly inactive such as saline, not the adjuvant or everything-but-the-intended-antigen), and consideration of all adverse health events (including neurodevelopment disorders).

Vaccines are necessarily risky, as recognized by the U.S. Supreme Court and by Congress. The Vaccine Injury Compensation Program has paid some $4 billion in damages, and high hurdles must be surmounted to collect compensation. The damage may be so devastating that most people would prefer restored function to a multimillion-dollar damage award.

The smallpox vaccine is so dangerous that you can’t get it now, despite the weaponization of smallpox. Rabies vaccine is given only after a suspected exposure or to high-risk persons such as veterinarians. The whole-cell pertussis vaccine was withdrawn from the U.S. market, a decade later than from the Japanese market, because of reports of severe permanent brain damage. The acellular vaccine that replaced it is evidently safer, though somewhat less effective.

The risk: benefit ratio varies with the frequency and severity of disease, vaccine safety, and individual patient factors. These must be evaluated by patient and physician, not imposed by a government agency.

Measles is the much-publicized threat used to push for mandates, and is probably the worst threat among the vaccine-preventable illnesses because it is so highly contagious. There are occasional outbreaks, generally starting with an infected individual coming from somewhere outside the U.S. The majority, but by no means all the people who catch the measles have not been vaccinated. Almost all make a full recovery, with robust, life-long immunity. The last measles death in the U.S. occurred in 2015, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC). Are potential measles complications including death in persons who cannot be vaccinated due to immune deficiency a  justification for revoking the rights of all Americans and establishing a precedent for still greater restrictions on our right to give—or withhold—consent to medical interventions? Clearly not.

Many serious complications have followed MMR vaccination, and are listed in the manufacturers’ package insert, though a causal relationship may not have been proved. According to a 2012 report by the Cochrane Collaboration, “The design and reporting of safety outcomes in MMR vaccine studies, both pre- and post-marketing, are largely inadequate” (cited by the National Vaccine Information Center).

Mandate advocates often assert a need for a 95% immunization rate to achieve herd immunity. However, Mary Holland and Chase Zachary of NYU School of Law argue, in the Oregon Law Review, that because complete herd immunity and measles eradication are unachievable, the better goal is for herd effect and disease control. The best outcome would result, they argue, from informed consent, more open communication, and market-based approaches.

Even disregarding adverse vaccine effects, the results of near-universal vaccination have not been completely positive. Measles, when it does occur, is four to five times worse than in pre-vaccination times, according to Lancet Infectious Diseases, because of the changed age distribution: more adults, whose vaccine-based immunity waned, and more infants, who no longer receive passive immunity from their naturally immune mother to protect them during their most vulnerable period.

Measles is a vexing problem, and more complete, forced vaccination will likely not solve it. Better public health measures—earlier detection, contact tracing, and isolation; a more effective, safer vaccine; or an effective treatment are all needed. Meanwhile, those who choose not to vaccinate now might do so in an outbreak, or they can be isolated. Immunosuppressed patients might choose isolation in any event because vaccinated people can also possibly transmit measles even if not sick themselves.

Issues that Congress must consider:

  • Manufacturers are virtually immune from product liability, so the incentive to develop safer products is much diminished. Manufacturers may even refuse to make available a product believed to be safer, such as monovalent measles vaccine in preference to MMR (measles-mumps-rubella). Consumer refusal is the only incentive to do better.
  • There are enormous conflicts of interest involving lucrative relationships with vaccine purveyors.
  • Research into possible vaccine adverse effects is being quashed, as is dissent by professionals.
  • There are many theoretical mechanisms for adverse effects from vaccines, especially in children with developing brains and immune systems. Note the devastating effects of Zika or rubella virus on developing humans, even though adults may have mild or asymptomatic infections. Many vaccines contain live viruses intended to cause a mild infection. Children’s brains are developing rapidly—any interference with the complex developmental symphony could be ruinous.
  • Vaccines are neither 100% safe nor 100% effective. Nor are they the only available means to control the spread of disease.

AAPS believes that liberty rights are unalienable. Patients and parents have the right to refuse vaccination, although potentially contagious persons can be restricted in their movements (e.g. as with Ebola), as needed to protect others against a clear and present danger. Unvaccinated persons with no exposure to a disease and no evidence of a disease are not a clear or present danger.

AAPS represents thousands of physicians in all specialties nationwide. It was founded in 1943 to protect private medicine and the patient-physician relationship.

Respectfully yours,

Jane M. Orient, M.D., Executive Director

Association of American Physicians and Surgeons

Can we have a respectful conversation about this?

Like I said above, regardless of our opinions on vaccines, we all want to do what is best for our children. Can we share some thoughts in the comments section about the pros or cons of mandatory vaccinations?

Be civil so we can keep the conversation going. Name-calling, rude comments, and blanket generalizations of entire swaths of people will be deleted, no matter which side of the debate you’re on. So let’s have a really good, productive conversation, okay?

PS: And for that guy (you know who you are) who was raging about his First Amendment right to free speech? You don’t have that on my blog. It’s protected by the Communications Decency Act, section 230. This is a privately owned business. I have every right to protect my readers from racist rants, profanity, and inflammatory comments. You are welcome to go elsewhere to comment if you don’t like the way I moderate the conversation here.

  • Daisy you are correct, the moron who argues that he has a “free speech” right to ransack your comment section with whatever they want to say is wrong. The “right to free speech” is a myth. You do not have a right to threaten others with your speech, you do not have a right to blaspheme God, you do not have a right to say whatever you want without consequences. A private blog has every right to deprive the speech of people who push an agenda and attack those whom they disagree with and not follow the rules established by the owner. A church has a right to throw out people who curse and blaspheme the name of God.

  • Can you please leave a link for Dr Orient’s letter? I wish to mail the proceedings to my (now former) employer, as I am no longer employed due to mandatory flu vaccination.

    • It is linked where it is underlined right before the body of the statement. 🙂 Just click on the underlined text. I’m so sorry to hear about your job!

  • Since the states seem to be able to do as they please; ‘Sanctuary’, registering illegal aliens to vote, DAILY infringe upon the 2nd Amendment, designate ‘Free Speech areas’, etc., I see states like Kalifornia simply disregarding ANY possible/potential outcome (as if political whores would go against Big Pharma) and doing exactly as they please, Federal law or Constitution be damned.

The ‘United’ States is no more. The Rule of Law is no more. There’s no more ‘justice’. The Constitution and Bill of Rights is just an old piece of paper.

No, gang. While you slept, or ‘worried about the kids’, or ‘went along to get along’, stood in line for Black Friday or some idiotic iPhone, your country became a socialist oligarchy, run by Israel, banks, and their puppets, ‘politicians’.

    Enjoy, kiddies.

    • This country is being ran by the rich and companies such as big pharma. Merck pharmaceutical just got sued for the Vioxx recall that they new killed people. They own the government agencies. And some how when it comes to vaccines people don’t think they would do anything wrong or don’t realize the same companies also make vaccines.

    • I’m not sure what you’re talking about, Frank, but as I requested, let’s please keep the comments productive instead of insulting.

  • thank you for sharing this I am against being forced. I am vaccinated and my children were vaccinated but the more I read about the vaccines the less willing I am to support vaccines. I have to have them in the state of Ca I am an in home provider. All children in my care must have them Its just not right to force this on us

  • Hello, I am a veterinarian and naturopathic physician. I also strongly disagree with mandated vaccines. I am mostly “anti-vaccine”- with a few exceptions, however I also believe that the government should not be interfering with anyone’s decision about their own body. If someone chooses to vaccinate- that’s their own right to choose. They may have to deal with consequences later, but it should still be their own choice to do so.

  • Just an openion. Anti vaccination is just a symptom of a growing “anti science, anti intellectual” movement. Much in common with: moon landing hoax, flat earth, anti floride, anti pasteurization of milk. It’s is not apparently exclusive to left or right either.

    • I think your knowledge of toxins is limited. Fluoride is a known neurotoxin which causes substantial loss of IQ points. “The average loss in IQ was reported as a standardized weighted mean difference of 0.45, which would be approximately equivalent to seven IQ points for commonly used IQ scores with a standard deviation of 15. There are many studies regarding the damages wrought by vaccines if you choose to learn more about this topic. “https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/news/features/fluoride-childrens-health-grandjean-choi/

    • Hi Kelly. I completely disagree. I’m hoping that you will read the letter that Daisy posted. This is one of the least divisive, least conspiracy mongering, most scientifically sound simple arguments for pro-choice in someone’s decision to vaccinate or not ( and, best argument against why government should not be involved in this decision!). And, it’s not peddled by conspiracy mongers, this is a legitimate physicians and surgeons Association.

In my experience, many people I know who call themselves anti-vax are actually extremely intelligent and very well-educated, definitely not anti-science or anti-intellectual in any way whatsoever. The opposite is true. These are usually parents who are college educated (I do agree with you on the point that it seems to cross political party lines, it doesn’t seem to matter IE conservative vs liberal), either completely pro-vaccination or at least just went through with it for the sake of following doctor’s recommendations, and then either they or someone they know had a reaction and were damaged by a vaccine, and then they weren’t taken seriously by doctors or even if they *were* taken seriously… They are now ostracized and called “anti-vax” just because they are trying to seek REAL unbiased information and exercise their rights to differentiation in medical treatment and plain old-fashioned common sense. I really think it’s insulting to react by trying to automatically link people who want to have a choice on whether to vaccinate themselves or their children or not (or even just want a choice to be able to work personally with their or their kids doctors to create a schedule or plan that is personalized for them, rather than the government calling the shots with no clue about them or their kids personal medical histories!) with the moon landing hoax or Flat Earth crowd Etc conspiracies.
Ie.– no drug or treatment is right for everyone all the time… this is why dozens or more of a similar drug and/or drug combinations exist to to treat the same or similar symptoms/diseases/conditions… Because some people will react to one formulation, but not another, some will be more effective for one person but have little to no effect for another. There are risks associated with any and all drugs and medical procedures. It is NO different with vaccines. It has been proven that people react differently, different populations have different rates of adverse reactions, some people gain antibody response (immunity) from only one dose of a vaccine but for other people multiple doses are in fact needed to gain any antibody response. So….. people need to be able to have a choice, for themselves and their kids, and that choice needs to be made with their doctor– period. In my opinion, governments need to butt out. I’m more on the liberal side in many ways, but I agree with my more conservative and libertarian friends and family in many other ways as well… This is one of them.

Unfortunately I think a lot of the extremely vocal and possibly not as well educated opponents of vaccination, sometimes who are running on fears and media memes, may be the ones getting the most media time. But I don’t think that’s an accident. This is also how social media seems to work in general with other things– the mose belligerent, most angry, most scared, etc etc etc voices often drawn out the rest… Including the extremely reasonable voices who actually have a lot to say.

      Forthe record:

I’m neither “anti-vax” nor “pro-vax,” I’m somewhere in the middle, and I suppose you could call my position “pro-right-to-differentiation-in-midical-treatment” (and yes, there are many scientific studies that I could cite supporting my views and position on this topic). I don’t get flu shots because I’m allergic to two of the three antibiotics that are often used in manufacturing of the vaccines, and even though the amounts are so tiny as to almost be irrelevant I’ve been advised by doctors to not avoid it and I agree with them that it’s not worth the risk for me, especially considering it’s general poor efficacy rates. Should the government or an employer be allowed to force me to get a flu shot, even though they would not be responsible and would not compensate me if I were on the off chance to have a reaction because of the components that I’m allergic to? Heck no. There are plenty of ways to naturally protect myself from the flu… And studies show that there are probably more effective than the shot in certain circumstances anyway. That’s my choice, and it should always be my choice, not the government’s, not anybody else’s. I’m also allergic to the DTaP and DT vaccines. I had pretty severe reactions. I never reacted to the plain T (tetanus) booster, but unfortunately it’s virtually impossible to find now so I’m kind of S.O.L. and having a hard time finding any doctor who is willing to order it for me because they’re telling me it has to be ordered in batches, they can’t just order a single one for me. So now I’m unable to get one of the booster shots that I need simply because vaccine manufacturers are greedy and won’t sell individual tetanus boosters to doctors anymore. Both of my kids are allergic to the DTaP vaccine as well and yes, their reactions were reported to VAERS by their doctors and yes they have medical exemptions for that vaccine only. Both kids are up to date on their other vaccines.

WITH ALL THAT SAID, even though I am basically “pro” vaccination in many ways because of my choices and my views of the science behind it, I get treated like crap if I even mention the fact that I and my kids have had multiple reactions to vaccines. People get weird and skeptical and basically quit listening to you. Honestly, I’m really tired of people equating me, and many many others like me, to unintellectual morons who don’t do their research and don’t know what they’re talking about. I’m not attacking you personally, just hoping that you will understand that in my opinion it’s really unconstructive to call people automatically unscientific if they don’t believe that governments should have the power to mandate vaccines.

Also for the record, slightly off topic, but you mentioned the flouride issue: there’s actually quite a bit of evidence compiled by competent professionals suggesting that while topically applied fluoride is effective when used correctly to help prevent and treat cavities, ingested fluoride is actually problematic, can be dangerous, leads to dental fluorosis, and is linked to other health maladies especially when consumed in excess, and unfortunately we’re now beginning to understand that it’s practically impossible to not get too much since water municipalities often put too much into the water supply. But that’s another conversation entirely. If you’re interested in learning more about that, let me know, if I can I will post a link to a couple of interesting articles. I was on the fence about this one until recently but I’ve seen some pretty convincing data. Let’s just put it this way. I use toothpaste with fluoride in it, I get my teeth cleaned twice per year and get the fluoride treatments, and use a fluoride mouthwash a couple to few times per week. But when it comes to my water, I have an RO filter and avoid unfiltered tap water as much as humanly possible. My husband and I do the same for our kids. They’ve never had a single cavity. As a grown adult, I haven’t had a single cavity.

My two cents. Thanks for reading.

Daisy, thank you for posting this. I appreciate and enjoy reading your posts, and I commend you for being willing to wade into this topic. You are right, it really can be a hot-button issue sometimes. I hope I didn’t come across as combative. I do feel very strongly about this and I wanted to share my thoughts.

      • @Sarah the Vet
What a wonderful and thoughtful reply from a clearly intelligent lady. A couple things you didn’t mention: They now add adjuvants to the vaccines to increase response. Some believe these cause issues. The other is vaccine efficacy is seldom as high as implied in the media. If it were why would vaccinated people be upset about the non-vaccinated? After all they would be “safe”, eh? Point in fact is in a California outbreak a few years ago nearly all those who came down with measles were, indeed, vaccinated. Vaccines for childhood diseases do not confer lifetime immunity like getting the disease.

Regarding fluoride. It is absolutely poison taken internally. Read every toothpaste tube with fluoride. It says spit it out. Do not swallow. Topical application is fine though not sure I’d do that to often. Research the history of fluoride. It was a toxic waste of manufacturing. Try to discuss this with “dental professionals” and they’ve all been brainwashed that fluoride in drinking water is good. And just for another tidbit the chlorine we use in the US is also toxic — combines with the amino acids in the water and creates chloramine and other carcinogens. A little is necessary to disinfect for transit but primary should be filtration, ozonation, or other methods..

Daisy, thank you for this letter. I’m already sharing it with others who are glad to see doctors finally taking a stand for something good.

    • Just my opinion, Kelly, but does simply believing what “scientists” say about “science” make one an “intellectual “? Did you not read the statement from the AAPS above? Did you find it “unscientific”, or lacking in “intellectual introspection”? Do you assume that everyone who embraces the idea of “informed consent” for all medical procedures is automatically excluded from the right to same if they believe something you disagree with? Or do you assume that if one is “properly informed”, they will, of necessity, “gladly consent”? And why is informed consent and/or a prescription needed from your dentist to receive flouride treatments, while the toothpaste industry and your water company don’t have such requirements? Are you aware that the primary source of fluoride is from industrial waste that is incredibly expensive to dispose of? PS: I’m not a flat earther.

      • Dear Charles, I suggest you check into the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons’ background and what appear to be its member’s fringe beliefs on other medical issues before referencing them in support of your own position.

    • Hi Kelly. Your opinion highlights the flip side of those who think they know better under the guise of superior intellect when in reality it just aligns with their confirmation bias. In this instance, science is inarguably right and anyone that disagrees is an anti-intellectual of the flat earther sort. It is condescendingly dismissive.

Meanwhile, so called scientific findings are routinely found to be incorrect and not able to be reproduced. But this does not deter the ardent science supporter and is incredibly similar to religiously based beliefs with the distinction that they are admittedly faith based. Science is the new religion.

When someone tells me they believe in the science of Global Warming, I mean, Climate Change then I must ask which science, the fraud or the flawed. Money corrupts those in science just as it has corrupted some in religion. To argue that neither extensively exist in science today is true anti-intellectualism and a dangerous denial.

  • Quite simply put, government is getting “too big for it’s britches”. Mandating vaccinations is NOT part of the government’s responsibilities and allowing them to do this, considering the fact that there is no product liability for Big Pharma, is a road to disaster. This smacks of out and out socialism and big political contributions from the drug manufacturers.

  • I know I’m ‘weird’ because I try to come at everything from a Biblical perspective. According to I Corinthians 13, the ONLY power that the government is given by scripture is the power to punish evildoers.

  • Heck of a good letter! Happy to see they condemned drug manufacturers for not providing alternatives, for refusing to make available a safer product and for the outrageous conflicts of interest. This is truly a parental decision, not a governmental one.

Sorry, the right to free speech is not a myth. It is a guarantee that should not be mistaken as permission to say whatever evil thing may come into your head. Self control and respect should go hand in hand but unfortunately it often does not. Sadly, you can blaspheme God.

  • I would say the evil in vaccines are not the vaccines themselves, but the nocive substances that are added to them, like heavy metals, squalene, GMO stuff, etc..

By the way: CORIANDER/CILANTRO has the capability of flushing out the heavy metals from the organism.

  • Now that we have highly accurate test protocols for measles, we have proven that 38% of all measles cases are directly caused by the vaccination. There are also shedders to unvaccinated people, but the 38% should be grounds enough to not force a vaccine that causes the very illness it is intended to temporarily protect against. Mercury and aluminum, along with other highly toxic ingredients have manifested a plethora of conditions including miscarriage, birth defects, multigenerational genetic defects, tics, convulsions, ADD, ADHD, Aspergers, allergies, autoimmunity, Autism, cancer, and even death as documented by VAERS tracking system. Most people who are made aware of the high percentage of these hidden risks, would opt out on such threats to the health of their unborn, newborn, or young child. Seems the truly humane approach is to honestly and objectively teach the human population the risks and health threats, then let them decide if the true risks are worth the protection from the mostly treatable diseases they are intended to only temporarily protect against. Government manipulated by profitable pharmaceutical interests has no business mandating anything in the way of vaccinations to its population. Government has failed to follow up on the CDC confession of hiding the 4x higher autism rates among African American babies. Government has failed to examine vaccine failure rates since the industry was exempted from suit for vaccine failures and damage. Attorneys have failed to sue the industry for failure to improve vaccine safety, and honest vaccine testing, now even covered up by the CDC to keep this information from the American public. Should we trust a government and industry that is derelict in its duty to protect our young. It doesn’t look promising.

    • GREAT comment. What many people do not know is that the pharmaceutical industry was indemnified from liability for vaccine injury by the National Childrens Vaccine Injury Act of 1986. They are the ONLY industry that has this protection and they are the largest lobbyist to Congress. President Reagan signed this into law with great unease. They add to this act that HHS was to report to Congress every 2 years on vaccine safety. Through FOIA requests we now know that they have not done that one time in over 30 years.

      • That started in 1976 when the companies producing swine flu vaccine demanded to be indemnified since so many people would be vaccinated – they knew that people would associate the flu shot with any problems. In fact , ‘in a letter to the New York Times, Dr. Hans Neumann from the New Haven Department of Health noted that based on the projected scale of the immunizations, within two days of getting a flu shot, about 2,300 people would have a stroke and 7,000 would have a heart attack. “Why?” he asked. “Because that is the number statistically expected, flu shots or no flu shots.” Likewise, in the week following a flu vaccine, another 9,000 people would contract pneumonia, of whom 900 would die. These would certainly occur after a flu shot, but not as a consequence of it. “Yet,” wrote Neumann, “can one expect a person who received a flu shot at noon and who that same night had a stroke not to associate somehow the two in his mind?”’ Since the government wanted the companies to produce the vaccine, the companies wanted the govt to indemnify them for any lawsuits.

    • It is well known that 47% of all statistics are made up on the spot. Trust me, I just made that up. I can’t help but think that if 38% of vaccinated kids developed measles we would have an ongoing epidemic. We don’t. My step son is married to a staunch anti-vaccination woman. Her sister has several autistic kids and blames it on the the vaccinations. My son now has a kid with her and of course, no vaccinations. His child is autistic.

      • Good points “me”! Also, as you probably already know, the research study published several years ago that claimed vaccinations could cause autism has been thoroughly de-bunked. Unfortunately, many people read or heard about that study, and the idea that vaccinations cause autism got “stuck” in their heads. Now it’s nearly impossible to convince them that it is not true. That being said, I do believe that, in the past, there were preservatives, etc., added to some vaccines that, sadly, caused allergic reactions in some people who received them. It is my understanding that, thankfully, those chemicals are no longer being used in vaccine manufacture. Also, I believe it is a good thing that many doctors now are on board with the idea of administering children’s vaccinations just one or two at a time, with several weeks in between the vaccinations. It seems to be good common sense to let a patient’s body recover from the stress of one round of vaccinations before receiving another one.

      • me says, ” I can’t help but think that if 38% of vaccinated kids developed measles we would have an ongoing epidemic.”

I would agree with that but no one said that. The actual quote, “we have proven that 38% of all measles cases are directly caused by the vaccination.”

        • “we have proven that 38% of all measles cases are directly caused by the vaccination.” This is correct, because vaccines contain live viruses.

  • We will continue to have increased outbreaks of diseases that used to be under control until we get Illegal Invasions under control – But vaccination of children MUST be left to the PARENTS determination – not the government. Pretty simple really, unless your a Socialist who wants to control others through government force.

    • Vaccination rates in Mexico are actually very good. 99% of their kids are vaccinated against measles.

So you get to decide if your child will get the disease and infect another child who will die from it. Sorry but I lost friends as a kid because there were no vaccinations at the time for what they died from.

  • Thank you for sharing this information. There are those who believe that I am “anti-science” or “anti-intellectual” because I question the authority of government to dictate/mandate more and more things about how I choose to live my life. I am neither of those things and I will not yield to that sort of pressure on my right to think things through, to research and make decisions I think are best – particularly when it comes to my personal health and that of my children.

That said, I always use the measurement first of all to “follow the money.” Then, because I am a trained researcher with a doctorate from an established brick and mortar institution, I want to see how the research has been conducted. And, who paid for it. Next I want to weigh the credibility/credentials for parties on both sides of the matter.

Finally, I will decide if a government mandate lines up with my ultimate guide – God’s word as I understand it.

Personally, I have followed this vaccine debate for a number of years now and feel fairly well informed based on the above steps. Consequently, I OPPOSE mandating vaccinations for any purpose. I feel distress for those who must choose between their job or a flu vaccination, for example. But, in order to stay true to myself and my values there are circumstances under which I will refuse to comply…no matter the earthly cost.

Our children do not belong to the state. Be careful, those of you who support the “mandates” of government. The next mandate may step on you.

  • As the mother of two children injured by vaccines, I have studied this topic for 15 years. I have read studies, articles, reports, and listened to thousands of parent stories. I also watched the two hour hearing yesterday on vaccines. I am 100% against mandating vaccines. It is a freedom issue to me but also I am opposed because the mantra that vaccines are safe and effective is a myth. It is a myth because vaccines are not studied like pharmaceuticals with a double blind placebo study and done long term. Vaccines are studied against other vaccines and/or an adjuvant, therefore never giving a true safety profile. They also do not conduct long term studies and rely on post marketing data. The Hep B vaccine given to newborns was studied for 4 days. The last report from the IOM stated that safety studies on combination vaccines was inadequate and a safety study on the schedule as it is administered has never been done. They are not studying the synergistic effects. Most vaccines contain aluminum which has never been studied for safety in injection, only for efficacy. Dr Chris Exley, the world renown expert on this topic, has stated how concerned he is about these vaccines. These things should concern EVERYONE. The term “anti vaxxer” is a term used to be divisive. Most are like me, ex vaxxers. We DID vaccinate. No one should support mandates with the lack of safety studies.

  • If my medically can’t be vaccinated kid dies from your by choice unvaccinated kid passing along a preventable illness I would come looking for you

    • I think this is a combative comment, but I get where your fear is coming from. I am immuno-compromised. I am allergic to a couple of vaccines. My kids are allergic to the DTaP. So, they can no longer get boosters for those diseases, and if they were exposed to Diptheria, Tetanus or Pertussus, we may likely get it. That would suck. But I’m not going to blame parents or adults who have exercised their right to not vaccinate, because it’s a lot more complicated than one or even a lot of people choosing to vaccinate themselves or their children or not. The letter that Daisy posted is a good starting place. Did you read it? I highly recommend it.

Honestly, I would suggest that you research which vaccines shed and which do not. That should be a higher concern on your list. Unfortunately this is something that a lot of doctors don’t talk about, mine certainly didn’t. The unfortunate reality is that the immunocompromised are at higher risk from recently-vaccinated person than from unvaccinated persons. This is because a number of vaccines shed and have been shown to cause illness, especially in compromised populations; on the other hand, someone who has simply not been vaccinated for a disease is extremely unlikely to expose you or your child to that illness.

I wish you the best and hope you take my advice from a place of peace, know that I’m not attacking you but rather I do hope that you will open your heart to more information. There’s a lot more to this debate than what ends up in most doctors offices and in the media. Take care.

    • Bob, not cool.

That’s not helpful or useful. Why would you completely disregard my request to be civil? Why would you issue a threat? I’ll just assume your ignorant comment comes fear and love for your child. If you hadn’t brought up a good point – that some children cannot get vaccinated – I would delete it.

Please don’t comment again unless you can be civil and actually take part in a productive discussion.

      • So, Bob doesn’t vaccinate his kid because he thinks the potential damage outweighs any possible benefit. But he refuses to concede this same right to any other parent. Isn’t this just a perfect example of hypocrisy?

And isn’t it interesting how the hypocrites are so often the first to threaten, or resort to violence?

Daisy, I’m glad you didn’t delete Bob. It may be distasteful to think about, but we need to remember that people like him are out there.

    • So Bob, What is your solution for all of the other diseases we don’t vaccinate for? There are a gazillion viruses and bacteria out there.

I too have an immunocompromised child, but I do not expect other parents to forfeit their rights. This is about each parent protecting their own child. Me protecting mine and them protecting theirs. I think it is selfish to require others to bear the responsibility. As a parent with an immunocompromised child, you were told to keep your child out of public places, to wear personal protective gear if you must be out. You were also told to practice good hygeine. You were also told to avoid those who have recently been vaccinated because of the shedding of those viruses. Keeping your child safe is YOUR responsibility and no one elses.

  • There is a long history of vaccine experiments that didn’t work. Probably the most notorious was the 1918-1919 fraudulently named “Spanish Flu” — which best evidence indicates that a vaccine supplied by the Rockefeller Institute, first administered to US Army troops at Ft Riley, Kansas in early 1918 (but was also supplied to several countries as well) kicked off what became a worldwide epidemic that killed somewhere between 50,000,000 to a 100,000,000 people around the planet. The US government, not wanting to take the blame, falsely labeled it as the “Spanish Flu” since newspaper accounts of it first appeared in Spain, a country not under wartime censorship. I had an uncle who was stationed at Ft Riley at that time, and while on leave, brought it home to his mother — my grandmother. Fortunately, they both recovered, thanks to a local doctor who did not make the mistake (common at that time) of dosing them with aspirin, which proved deadly for recipients. See these two references:

    https://realfarmacy.com/did-a-military-experimental-vaccine-in-1918-kill-100-million-people-blamed-as-spanish-flu/

    and

This book on Amazon: Gestapo Chief: “The 1948 Interrogation of Heinrich Muller, Vol. 3: From Secret U. S. Intelligence Files”, by Gregory Douglas (actually three books, I’m not sure which covers Muller describing Germans coming to America in the mid-1920s to investigate the terrible damage done to German soldiers by the so-called “Spanish Flu” and being told by American medics that “our experiments got a little out of hand.”

  • Bravo to the AAPS for speaking out in favor of medical freedom. No government should ever have the right to mandate any medical procedure.

According to CDC data (https://www.cdc.gov/measles/cases-outbreaks.html) there have been 206 cases of measles so far in 2019. In 2018, there was a grand total of 372. In a country of 330 MILLION people.

This is not an outbreak. It is an agenda.

  • I feel that he government shouldn’t tell parents how to raise their Children. Unless abuse is involved. A parent should have the right to have their children vacinated or not. I did have my children vacinated, and want my grandchildren and great grandchildren vacinated for their protection. As well as the prevention of diseases.

  • The problem I took away from the article and that I think is the problem that distracts from the core of vaccines are dangerous and the side effects are unknown.
The medical community has shown through studies that for measles the benefits are excellent. In other words, the side effects sound better then the side effects for prescription medicine on those commercials one sees on tv. The point being that measles,as far as I have heard, is extremely contagious. I’m sure doctor’s don’t want mandatory vaccinations because they respect parents to act in the best interest of their children. But the question then becomes for those who don’t want to vaccinate, what happens when the measles become a pandemic?
I my minds eye, the fear people talk about is applying the fear we have against people that have been elected as reflection of people I healthcare. What gets if children were to start dying from measles who would we blame for that?

  • When we were teenagers, my sister died from complications of measles (measles encephalitis). When I was a parent, I did vaccinate my children, and I do believe vaccines can help prevent death. That being said, I also do NOT believe parents who have reviewed the pros and cons, and think their children are better served by NOT being vaccinated, should be forced to vaccinate. So I don’t think there should be regulation that mandates parents to vaccinate if they feel doing so would be harmful to their children. The children could always opt to have the vaccine when they get older.

    • I am VERY sorry your sister died. Though that is rare, it is no less devastating. Encephalitis is listed as an adverse reaction to the MMR also. Both of my sons had a severe reaction to the MMR. For experiencing what you have and STILL understand that vaccines should not be mandated, speaks volumes. ANYTHING with those kind of risks should never be mandated.

    • Thank you for this. Knowing why you went through and still accepting choose is very great of you.
I did choose to vaccinate my kids but at a much slower pace. Giving certain ones much later. At 18 they are updated except HPV and Flu. If thing get mandated I wouldn’t even be able to delay. Thank you.

  • Although I personally approve of vaccinations and am EXTREMELY glad I am old enough to have had the smallpox vaccination, I am strongly against the federal or state government mandating medical practices that force a person to do something he/she does not want to do. You never know which person might have an adverse reaction to a vaccination, and it should be the parents’ call and their consequences. Also, you never know how far the government is going to go with dictating your life. Start with mandating vaccinations and end up telling you how many children you are allowed to have.

  • The vaccines laced with mercury and fetal tissues, etc. Is a good way to cause illness and not prevent it. The question is where does the government get the authority to force vaccinations. BECAUSE it reclassified us under animals and not natural born men and women. There is an interesting court case on that subject here in Texas. Several individuals were being charged and sued a few years back for making colloidal silver makers. The AG claimed there were manufacturing medical preparation/device. One individual who was trying to help with the defendants was dragged into the lawsuit by the asst AG. He started reading “man and other animals” in the law. Under legal language the word “And” is defined as both elements (sides) have to be present. In Texas the definition is found in chapter 3 of the Government Code. He realized that they were classifying him as an animal. He stood up in court and quoted the Bible/Gensis and the fact that he was to have dominion over the animals as a man. The asst. AG tried every way to get him to plead guilty under a plea deal. The Texas AG would drop all the fines that they had accessed if he pleaded guilty. No Jail time either. He refused. The asst. AG ended up losing his job and every thing went away. Also don’t classify yourself as a human being in legal language. BECAUSE the actual legal definition of a human being is a creature that has no resemblance to a man or women. The term of art is to confuse people. But one thing is not brought up is the US Constitutions. The federal government is forbidden from legislating directly to the individual state citizens. They try and get around it through the commerce clause. That is why Obamacare was reclassified as a TAX. I am a Texan and not a US citizen. In the U.S. Code it says you can be one of four things. Either a state citizen or a U.S. Citizen or both or neither. The states can’t mandate to the citizen because it does not own your body, unless you claim to be a U.S. citizen. Term of Art to confuse everyone, because a U.S. Citizen is property of the federal government. I won’t go into a lot more legal details here. But as Michal Badernick said “I’ll get my gun and you go get your needles and lets see who puts a hole in who first!”

  • I had all the childhood diseases. Survived just fine. I did have the Polio vaccine. My children were required to be vaccinated to attend school, and I was OK with that.
Now I have an autoimmune disease which requires medication to weaken my immune system. I should not have vaccines like the flu vaccine. If my husband decides to have one, he is supposed to stay away from me for a couple of days.
I don’t think the government should force vaccines on people. For some of us, it could mean death.
I also have a cousin and a great niece who were born healthy and “normal” but suffered life altering seizures after being vaccinated. Unfortunately, parents can never know what the outcome of a vaccination will be, and I understand their reluctance to do it.

  • Given that public education about the safety and benefit of vaccines doesn’t seem to be effective (as illustrated by most of the comments here), I understand why public health officials are trying the mandatory vaccination route. I also understand the opposition to it. I’m in favor of philosophical freedom and bodily autonomy (which is why I’m also pro-choice).

  • WOW!! DOCTORS!! I’m not going to say that this has changed my opinion of the medical community, but WOW!! DOCTORS are on the side of the parents when it come to vaccines for their children. The frequency of vaccines required for children today have at least doubled from the 1950’s and 60’s. I wish the doctors were on the side of older adults when it comes to the pneumonia, shingles and flu vaccines, which are just as questionable on how effective and safe they are. Then there is the vaccine they are wanting to force parents to give their children for HPV.

    • We have a friend who got the shingles vax. He has had shingles three times since. He’s about 70. No one should have to go through that. We are only left with information from friends and family about what actually happens when a person (young or old) gets a vaccine. It would be nice to have some real info at the outset, but it appears Big Pharma doesn’t want us to know.

  • The simplest way to put it that those who are pro-vaccine need to try to understand is that those against vaccination are not anti-health, or anti-protection. We all want EVERYONE to be healthy and safe. We are just pro-safety to protect our children in a society where vaccine injuries and deaths are rising, and until these vaccines are proven safe – which they have not been – the choice should remain.

Look at it like this: if you were told to open a door that may or may not have a ferocious lion behind it that will maim or kill you, do you want to listen to someone saying “you’ll be okay, I promise, but I don’t actually know if the lion is in there,” or would you refuse to open the door until someone could prove to you it wasn’t in there? Until vaccines are held to the same standards of testing as everything else, and until pharmaceutical companies stop hiding information that suggests some vaccines are not safe, this is always going to be an issue.

There’s no reason for all the name-calling and hate. People just need to think rationally. There seems to be a shortage of that, these days. It’s sad, really, that people can’t think of others in this respect; it takes being a victim to finally get people to see the other side.

  • When your children start dying of easily preventable diseases, you will probably change your minds.

    • Or one could say, when your children start dying from easily preventable vaccine injections, you will probably change your minds.

  • My daughter was injured for life by a vaccine. I’m not going to recreate all the research but I suggest everyone check out the website http://www.greenmedinfo.com – it is a database of thousands of govt and peer reviewed studies and reports and you can search for info medicines, diseases, etc. it’s free. For instance, search for Gardasil and you will see studies and reports and see for yourself what happens when your child gets this vaccine. Because of what happened with my Daughter we educated ourselves and went from being in the medical community and pro-vax (brainwashed) to mostly anti-vax. If I knew then what I know now I would not have allowed my kids to be vaccinated. Period. People think it is OK if a percentage of recipients are collateral damage – until the ones collaterally damaged are you and yours. “We’re sorry, in order for us to make maximum profits some people are going to have to be killed and injured”. NO.

  • This is a great article. We need to understand the risk and positive outcomes in regards to any “hot-button” topic is up to you the consumer to do your o wn research. Then move ahead with your personal choice.

  • Complicated.
Best of intentions for both sides of the argument.
Sometimes children are wiser than their parents.
    Emotional, you bet!

    1. If parents want to have a child immunized, then immunize the child.
    2. If parents do not care one way or the other about child immunization, then immunize the child.
    3. If parents want to have a child immunized but there is a valid medical reason not to immunize a child, then do not immunize that child.

    4. If the child wants to be immunized, then the parent(s) should have no say in the matter unless there is a valid medical reason not to immunize the child.

    5. The parent(s) of an immunized child receive an immunization record (certificate) for each immunized child, per immunization.
Consider the immunization record to be a type of passport. Do not lose it.
The immunization records may actually be aded to your passport, someday.

The immunization record may be used ‘like a passport’ during a pandemic.

An un-immunized person may not be able to access some normally accessible places or services
( public transportation (buses, taxi’s, trains, aircraft, ferries ), swimming pools, spas, gyms, libraries, grocery and other stores (gas stations, convenience stores), churches, schools included. To name a few possibilities. ) Special un-immunized persons services may have to instituted during pandemics or serious disease outbreaks. Sort of like pizza delivery. The service/product, comes to/is delivered to, the unimmunized person, when possible.

The above points cover most people. Now for the people who do not want their children to be immunized.

    A. Parent(s) who choose not to have their child immunized are required to isolate their un-immunized child from the general public ( especially other children, immunized or not ) during an declared outbreak or pandemic for a disease that might be prevented by a immunization. Sounds draconian, right?

Most diseases require a form of pathogenic contact or ingestion to transmit.

If a vulnerable child (unimmunized) is kept away (in isolation from) persons that may (or may not) be infectious (or a carrier of the pathogen causing the disease), then the unimmunized child is ‘pseudo’ protected (never 100% protected from the disease). When the disease outbreak is declared to be ‘over’, then the childs’ isolation is rescinded. I’d personally would wait it a week or two to be on the side!

Remember that isolation cannot not guarantee that a child/person will not contract a disease, the idea is to reduce contact with a possible disease carrier.

Isolation might be your home (like a snow day, except for weeks, maybe months) or a farm or a campground or hunting or fishing camp or hotel room or a school gym. Someplace away from the general public.

Persons that are infected or contagious will be placed in quarantine to prevent them from infecting other people. Quarantine ends when you are considered no longer contagious. Hard knocks.

The above possibilities are presented as a discussion starting point to protect all children/people from potential harm. This scenario might help to reduce the duration of a pandemic.

For those that know the story, sort of like a temporary ‘tower of babel’ scenario.

    • In a free society, shouldn’t the onus be on the person who is terrified of the unvaccinated?

    • Good points Doug. There are two primary ways of dealing with a pandemic – vaccination and quarantine. Choosing to be unvaccinated is choosing quarantine in case of an outbreak. See the unvaccinated children who were required to stay home from school during recent outbreaks of chickenpox. If there’s a measles outbreak, children who are unvaccinated are both more likely to catch it and more likely to spread it before they show the “rash”. So they should be required to stay home (and not “in public”, say at museums or parks) from school until the outbreak is over. I’m perfectly fine with that solution.

  • Do you notice how TERRIFIED a child is of the needle? Does he/she instinctively know something wrong is going to be done to his body?

  • Except for some basic precepts for health that everyone recognizes, we are all at risk for even a simple cold getting out of hand. There are no real guarantees of safety in allopathic medicine. It’s all at risk. My mother inadvertently gave her baby cousin a case of smallpox because he rubbed his little nose across her vaccination point. He lived. For the most part, the deaths that do occur from infectious diseases are due to poor health and sanitation to begin with. While it may be distressing for the parent to see a child covered in rash and listless with fever, it is a part of life that requires a more grown up bit of loving care on the part of grown ups. When chickenpox hit our house, I exposed all the siblings so we could just get it over with. Suffering carried special privileges for a time — movies, favorite food, etc. Being a stay-at-home mom I could assert this choice with more confidence than one who might lose her job because her child has an infectious illness.

There seems to be some kind of kickback for every convenience we come up with and vaxing is no exception. When we had ear infections with every infant vax, I finally put two and two together and called an end to them. After three children coming down with ear infections after each vax, it was absolute direct link in our experience. I do feel somewhat guilty for being cowed by medical authorities without much thought to the consequences. Some people seem to sail through the vax process. We were sick every time.

It does seem rather out of sync that a society which highly values it’s ability to give choice for certain dubious medical procedures to it’s citizens would not also give them a choice in this chancy scheme of protection from infection..

  • I guess it is the libertarian in my bones that makes me want the Federal government out of DICTATING any and all health decisions. As a corollary, spoken by a someone The libertarian in my bones makes me want government out of the parent/patient/doctor conversations.

As someone who is on Medicare, “Medicare for all” as proposed is an epic disaster waiting to happen.

As a wise much older friend once told me “You cannot have ‘just a little’ government in your life.”

  • I suggest everyone check into the bona fides of this “Aassociation of American Physicians and Surgeons” group before giving any credence to their position as expressed in this article. From what I have read, it appears to be an ultra-conservative group with views not usually shared by most doctors in this country. Apparently its members (who are reportedly anti-vaxxers to start with) also believe such things as “HIV doesn’t cause AIDS” and “Abortion causes breast cancer” . I would be far more interested in the A.M.A.’s position on mandatory vaccinations than what this group thinks. Although I am generally pro-vaccination unless someone has a valid medical reason not to be vaccinated, I personally would oppose federally mandated vaccinations unless there was a true, dire nationwide pandemic that vaccinations could stop.

    • I felt the same way reading their site. However, they are expressing an unfortunately widely-held opinion in the public, so it’s good to try to have a civil discussion. I doubt anyone will be convinced to be pro- or anti-vaccination; I do hope we can discuss what are the alternatives in cases of outbreaks. Are non-vaccinators okay with quarantine in case of an outbreak? If not, how do they suggest that we deal as a society with such outbreaks?

  • 1. Is the vaccine 100% effective?
    answer: no

    2. how effective is the vaccine?
The hospital staff told me that the whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine was 15% effective after four injections two months apart.

    3. Somewhere I read that the pertussis vaccine is the shot that causes autism in girls. I had a premature girl with only 32 weeks and the hospital was insistent on the shots.

    4. So I asked: what is the chance for catching whooping cough in the wild?
    answer: 1 in 35 thousand

    5. So I asked: what is the vector, the source for contagion?
answer: other kids at day care

    6. So I asked: is this correct: a 15% improvement over 1/35000 reduces the danger to 1/40250 ?
    answer: yes

    7. so if the pertussis vaccine works as you say it might … it only improves the odds of avoiding the disease by slightly less than 2/1000 ths of a percent (.0019%)
    answer: yes.

    8. Then we choose to avoid the side effects of four, four cc injections of the compound partially described below:

    ++++
The pertussis vaccine component is derived from Bordetella pertussis cultures grown on blood-free Bordet Gengou media. The pertussis organisms are harvested and inactivated with thimerosal and resuspended in physiological saline and thimerosal.

The toxoids are adsorbed to aluminum potassium sulfate (alum). The adsorbed diphtheria and tetanus toxoids are combined with pertussis vaccine concentrate, and diluted to a final volume using sterile phosphate-buffered physiological saline. Each 0.5 mL dose contains, by assay, not more than 0.17 mg of aluminum and not more than 100 µg (0.02%) of residual formaldehyde. Thimerosal (mercury derivative) 1:10,000 is added as a preservative.

Each 0.5 mL dose is formulated to contain 6.7 Lf of diphtheria toxoid and 5 Lf of tetanus toxoid (both toxoids induce at least 2 units of antitoxin per mL in the guinea pig potency test).

The total human immunizing dose (the first three 0.5 mL doses administered) contains an estimate of 12 units of pertussis vaccine (4 protective units per single dose). 2 The potency of the pertussis component of each lot of DTP (diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and pertussis vaccine adsorbed usp) is tested in a mouse protection test.
    +++++

But Sir, the nurse persisted, why do you not want to protect your child?

  • The first question is who are the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons.
    According to Wikipedia:

    ========================
The association is generally recognized as politically conservative or ultra-conservative, and its publication advocates a range of scientifically discredited hypotheses, including the belief that HIV does not cause AIDS, that being gay reduces life expectancy, that there is a link between abortion and breast cancer, and that there is a causal relationship between vaccines and autism.
    ======================================
    Hmmm…ultra conservative.

Secondly, I don’t think too many people today actually *remember* times when children (and others, but mainly children) died of diseases now eliminated by means of vaccines. I remember those times – I’m 75 now. I remember friends dying of polio. I remember that I couldn’t go swimming in a municipal pool or go to the movies in summer from fear of polio (and it was a realistic fear). I remember many children being partially paralyzed by polio.

I also remember being hospitalized because I was so dreadfully sick of whooping cough – the “P” in the DPT vacccine (pertussis). I was 8 or 9 at the time.

We may be forced to go back to the Dark Ages, but please, let’s don’t rush voluntarily into the Darkness!

    • Yes, this is so. But are they speaking the truth or not?

You have, friend, fallen into fallacy Ad Hominem.

See my remark on Nuremberg Code, and use some common sense, please.

    • Did you know it is possible to get polio from chemicals like DDT?

      Poliomyelitis

      1. Poliomyelitis Often called polio or infantile paralysis, is an infectious disease caused by a virus.
      2. This virus is a member of the enterovirus subgroup of the Picornaviridae family and has three serotypes: PV1, PV2 and PV3.
      3. The tissue most commonly affected is the spinal cord which leads to the classic manifestations of paralysis.
      5. Transmission Person-to-person spread of polio virus via the fecal-oral route is the most important route of transmission, although the oral-oral route may account for some cases.

      11. Pathogenesis: The mouth is the portal of entry of the virus and primary multiplication of the virus occurs at the site of implantation in the pharynx and gastrointestinal tract. The virus is usually present in the throat and in the stools before the onset of illness. One week after onset there is little virus in the throat, but virus continues to be excreted in the stools for several weeks. The virus invades local lymphoid tissue, enters the blood stream, and then may infect cells of the central nervous system. Replication of polio virus in motor neurons of the anterior horn and brain stem results in cell destruction and causes the typical manifestations of poliomyelitis.

      Is the polio vaccine effective?

According to Dr. Jonas Salk: The chance of getting polio from a live vaccine is greater than catching wild polio.

In the worst case scenario for the USA in 1952:
      Population 157.6 million
58,000 cases of polio, the chance of getting wild polio was 1/3000.
the chance of dying was 1/47694 (3145 dead)
the chance of being maimed was 1/7052 (21,269 not all crippled for life)

and please note that of the 58,000 cases diagnosed as polio, there was a 60% full recovery. (33,500 full recovery)

Today… the chance of FULL BLOWN AUTISM for vaccinated girls is 1/68

Worst case ever for being maimed 1/7052.

For girls with their minds not blown out there is substantial brain and reproductive damage:

      ++++++++
      See also PRECAUTIONS,
General Carcinogenesis, Mutagenesis, Impairment of Fertility
M-M-R II has not been evaluated for carcinogenic or mutagenic potential, or potential to impair fertility. Pregnancy Pregnancy Category C Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with M-M-R II. It is also not known whether M-M-R II can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Therefore, the vaccine should not be administered to pregnant females; furthermore, pregnancy should be avoided for 3 months following vaccination (see INDICATIONS AND USAGE, Non-
Pregnant Adolescent and Adult Females and CONTRAINDICATIONS).

      Tetanus is it fatal?
Not really. Modern people living in the West, drinking non poop laced water and not kissing and fornicating with infected poop eaters are not likely to catch it. If they did it is probable that treatment would cure the disease in short order.

      Polio is it fatal?
      Not really.
Polio is a condition, not a specific disease.
Modern people living in the West, drinking non poop laced water and not kissing and fornicating with infected poop eaters are not likely to catch it. If they did it is probable that treatment would cure the disease in short order.

According to those who study the subject 50% of the vaccinated children are going to be fully autistic in just SEVEN YEARS. I have had sapient people say to my face that the ratio is 50/50 today.

Wanda, your babies are perfect right now.

If the vaccines would protect them from a real and present danger then it would be advantageous to use them. But there is no danger from childhood diseases. Either God or Evolution caused the diseases. Perhaps the children need those diseases to develop their own NATURAL immunity. …

      Wanda,

Your Mother and I most recently, and your grandparents ad infinitum worked and slaved and fought and died, planted and harvested and hoped and dreamed that you would be able to live your life in enough peace and harmony to pass on the flame of life God gave to them / us as the purpose of their / our own lives.

I am the last of their spokesmen. Their cause is my cause. I am them, they are me.. myself now.

And I have to see the world the way it is, not the way I wish it to be.

and we are back at Maslow*s hierarchy of needs…

Wanda, the psychic pressure to conform to other people s expectations about really important subjects can be overwhelming. If we do not join the crowd then… what will happen to us? (They might laugh and jeer or even shun us and we will have no friends.) There is some survival advantage to being in a group BUT NOT when the group is committing suicide.

Do you need the acceptance of imaginary friends so badly that you are willing to damage your children to prove that you are politically correct?

Are you really willing to take a 2/189 chance of life hobbled with brain damaged children?

      Or

Can you be strong and independent with money and go through life with healthy children?

It is OK to be Healthy and Rich with Beautiful Healthy Babies. You do not have to be autistic, paralyzed and near death to please them.

There is no logical reason for *vaccinating* your children today.
Except for the fluoride, lead, arsenic, and other mind control and cancer causing agents there is nothing unhealthy about the readily available potable water.

There is plenty of reason not to vaccinate your children though.
The risk for girls is one in one hundred eighty nine chance of FULL BLOWN AUTISM, and a 100% chance of some level of brain damage measurable between: 0.01% to 100%. Responsible parties claim the odds of serious brain damage is worse than what I have written.

The chance for polio is as close to zero as it is possible to get.
Only eaters of polio infected feces and those that drink polio tainted water are at risk.
…and the risk from the vaccine is worse than death.

The chance for tetanus is as close to zero as it is possible to get.
Only those that allow puncture wounds to fester in manure are at risk.
… and the risk from the vaccine is worse than death.

BUT the psychic pressure from society is substantial. They see you as young, pretty, healthy and rich with healthy babies and they are so primitive that they hate your guts and want, really want to see you cry forever. Trust me on this one, they have hated on me for so long I see it on their faces and hear it in their voices thousands of miles away. And if you vaccinate your babies you will make them happy when they see you cry forever when you see the instantaneous and unrecoverable BRAIN DAMAGE from the vaccine they said would help you. And it will be too late for your children when the society you hold in such esteem laughs to your face, *Oh sorry darling. Your baby like retarded now. Wow, who could have known? Ha ha ha. Oh well live and learn…..*

I do not know how you will be able to resist vaccinating your beautiful children. Everyone important in your life wants you to *protect* them. Your Mother and I are the only weirdo kooks in the whole country that even imagine that something could be wrong with the shots that *saved humanity from every disease known to man.* They know all these things because they are politically correct and go along with the PC narrative…. But your sacred babies you say… THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR BABIES.

So.. it is now the end game.

You can get even with your mother and show you are a big girl and make your own decisions about your children…. After all they are your children. Nobody like your Mom can say anything about how you raise them. But if you screw it up and Gordon loses interest then you will be back with Mom, brain damaged kids in tow. Hoping against hope she can somehow make it better. But it wont get better. And you will be condemned to live with the unavoidable facts.

Wanda, you are now center stage. Every one of your ancestors is watching you. You have been warned with hard evidence of the statistical facts that demonstrate the case. We all know you will ignore the evidence and go on your feelings, because you are a woman and you make up your own mind. Who cares about the facts when you know how it feels?

You are the one who will determine the fate of the people, the tens of thousands of people your line represents.

I know it is complicated but you must surrender to the fact that the God called Evolution made your babies perfectly. You hold a pat hand. A royal flush. It is impossible to improve upon it. You have won ! All that is necessary for you now is to live happily ever after.

      … but …

Are you really going to ruin everyone*s lives by wrecking your own babies’ bodies and brains with injections of politically correct chemicals under the feel good pretext of protecting them from imaginary diseases promoted into your consciousness by those who seek to destroy you whether you believe that fact or not, or will you nurture those children to maturity with homemade chicken soup and the songs and tales of their ancestors?

Your children are the hope of the world.

  • I don’t believe that vaccines should be mandated. In my case I had a child that was born with severe allergies and his specialist warned me that he should NOT be vaccinated because he was among the children that would likely have a bad reaction. I went through hell with his pediatrician and his school because I followed his advice. I was forced to lie and say it was for “religious reasons” because no other option was available. My other child was vaccinated with everything required. Luckily they didn’t cross check between kids!

  • Well done Daisy! Some might see the forced vaccination as, at least in major part, as a medical experiment subject to international law. Here’s a set of links to the Nuremberg Code of Medical Ethics >

an excerpt> The judgment by the war crimes tribunal at Nuremberg laid down 10 standards to which physicians must conform when carrying out experiments on human subjects in a new code that is now accepted worldwide. This judgment established a new standard of ethical medical behavior for the post World War II human rights era. Among other requirements, this document enunciates the requirement of voluntary informed consent of the human subject. The principle of voluntary informed consent protects the right of the individual to control his own body. This code also recognizes that the risk must be weighed against the expected benefit, and that unnecessary pain and suffering must be avoided.
This code recognizes that doctors should avoid actions that injure human patients. The principles established by this code for medical practice now have been extended into general codes of medical ethics.

  • I think we can all agree, regardless of our individual stances on the subject of vaccination, that all patients are entitled to medicines that are both effective AND safe. If there is ANY question, the product should not be put into circulation. Yet, time and again, medications have been found to have horrifying side effects or to contain harmful ingredients. The FDA is NOT doing their supposed job, and the “argument” that they are overwhelmed with work only holds so much water. It is my belief that the government officials in charge of this are either in the pockets of big Pharma companies or are being influenced by others who stand to benefit from them. We as a nation MUST hold both the regulatory authorities and the pharmaceutical industry accountable for their actions, and those who have used their votes to line their pockets at the cost of the safety of their constituents should be prosecuted.

  • After having read all of the comments that have been posted I truly believe that this is a very divisive issue that has multiple points of contention. The very first point that needs to be addressed is what is or are the actual strain (s) of measles that are causing the outbreaks? In other words what is the actual source of the problem? Go to this link: https://www.naturalnews.com/2019-03-06-genetic-sequencing-science-breakthrough-just-proved-that-measles-outbreaks-are-caused-by-the-measles-vaccine.html#

This will add light to this subject: “a science paper published in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology, entitled, “Rapid Identification of Measles Virus Vaccine Genotype by Real-Time PCR,” has discovered something that vaccine fanatics don’t want the public to know.”

  • Here is a common question I have for those who are pro vaccine.

    1. If the vaccines were so safe for us why did the Vaccine companies get immunity for the damages caused by their vaccines?

    2. Why are there any reported stories of the illegal migration from other countries causing a rise in measles, mumps and other bio related diseases in this country?

    3. If the pharmaceutical industry is so confident in their vaccines, why do they suppress dissenting opinions?

I could go on and on, but I think you get my point. This is about medical tyranny and controlling the human population that the elite often refer to us as useless eaters or cattle. We are not anti-science, we are just pro health. And the upper echelons of the medical community gets a failing grade.

  • A question to those that support vaccine, do you know how they are made and the chemicals that go into them?

I suggest do the research. I can tell you but why take my word for it.

  • If parents refuse to vaccinate their children, that should be their choice. However, they should be willing to accept the consequences if their child starts an outbreak in a school, which could include being sued by their victims to recover medical costs or possible worse outcomes of their actions.

    • Why do you think it is only children? The majority of adults are not up to date on their vaccines. There are proposed mandates for adults as well. If your vaccines are not current, you could be the one being sued. Are you okay with that? It is ludicrous. The flu is shed all over the place and we don’t sue over that. Did you received your flu shot? How in the world would you prove it? What do you propose for the plethora of diseases we do not vaccinate for? What about children who are medically ill and cannot be vaccinated? Do you believe they are not capable of transmitting disease? Sure they are. Is there a double standard?

  • Vaccines are a personal choice between a patient and their doctor. No one, and I mean no one else, needs to be involved. Science, if that is a point, is even backtracking on vaccines for dogs and cats. The same rabies vaccine is given to a Great Dane as a Havanese; despite the differences in size and weight. A lot of dogs have collapsed and died from vaccines-my 12 yro cocker spaniel being one. Healthy as a proverbial horse, he received 3 vaccines at once. 24 hours later he was dead from an autoimmune reaction. The government needs to stop this insanity of being our overseeing God.

  • LOL! When the AMA tells us they have the right to ask about gun ownership, we call them shills and quacks. Now that they give permission for the paranoid to refuse to vaccinate their kids, they’re held up as EXPERTS on government mandates!

You can’t ONLY like them when they whistle YOUR tune.

Anyway, the effectiveness of vaccinations has been definitively proven over the past decade as we’ve seen myriad once ERADICATED diseases coming back in force as we’re deluged by illegal aliens who have all come for countries that don’t vaccinate. Measles…Mumps…even POLIO has made a return. Sad.

    • Hi D3FIANT, just to clarify, the Association quoted in the article above is not the AMA. To the best of my understanding, the AMA is pro-vaccination. This article concerns a different organization, the AAPS.

  • Even the doctors seem to miss some important notions. Smallpox vaccination had trivial risks compared to the highly lethal consequences of the extremely contagious disease itself. And the vaccinations were halted not because of the fabricated notion of serious risk of the vaccine (though there certainly is some small risk), but because smallpox had been eradicated and thus the protection was no longer necessary and therefore the small associated risk was no longer worthwhile.
It’s important to balance risk and reward, as they point out. Yet for very serious illness, personal choice should not be the primary consideration in a modern society. Since all vaccines have far less than 100% effectiveness, those who are vaccinated but not protected gain additional benefit by sharing otherwise contagious spaces within our community with a population that is entirely vaccinated. This greatly reduces exposure and risk, and thus reduces infection and mortality.
For contagions which aren’t very serious, such mandatory vaccination is an imposition on personal choice. But for the highly lethal stuff (and where to draw the line raises some issues, for sure), protection of all should be the goal. We no longer should permit the death of 1/3 of the world’s population (as happened with Black Death) from a disorder for which we can protect folks. People who screech otherwise are just fools. Nor, I agree, should we force everyone to have vaccinations against every trivial thing that comes along, without regard to the countervailing risks associated with such interventions. Unless, of course, you are heavily invested in the pharmaceutical company shilling the vaccine.

  • my wife is an in home autism behavior therapist
every home she works in has children with autism that were developmentally normal until they received immunizations
    every one
    dozens of kids
the last two times i got the flu shot i got the flu
i dont get the flu shot no more
    i got the shingles shot
the day after i felt like i got hit by a truck
my wifes friend got the pneumonia shot
she got that guillain barre reaction to it
she was in the hospital for a month
she was out of work for two years
we have to stop whacking our kids up with this stuff until theyre older and developed more fully
    this is insanity

  • If one acquires measles, then they will have immunity for life as the cellular immunity has been activated. With vaccines, one only acquires humeral immunity or antibodies in the blood. Vaccines do not give life long immunity to diseases and require boosters to keep immunity to the disease.
I have yet to find where this problem has been informed of vaccine patients.

  • I pray that mandatory vaccines will not happen. I believe that some and maybe all diseases these days are created by the government to work on depopulation. Infants get a Hep B shot before leaving the hospital. My understanding is that a newborns immune systems are not even developed yet. I suggest everyone do some research on the ingredients and health risks of the vaccines. A child receives a lot of vaccines.

  • Sadly, and this is speaking as a physician, medical care in the US has been so severely corrupted by Big Pharma, few docs really stop to question such things as mandatory vaccination. In a practical sense, it is already happening as a friend of mine cannot find a pediatrician to look after his kids if he doesn’t do ALL vaccines. I suspect that fewer than 5% of MDs are aware that whistleblowers came out telling the truth about the fake data from the CDC (autism link to vaccines).

It is absurd when people come out saying they are afraid of YOU not vaccinating YOUR kids, as they have had their own kids vaccinated. Hmmm, so IF this works as claimed, their kids are immunized and won’t be affected if your unvaccinated kids get sick. But rationality is not allowed anymore, so create your own gender to deal with CLIMATE CHANGE and be as INTOLERANT of people who won’t follow your politically correct views! At least most of them hate guns, that is positive 🙂
