I recently wrote an article about a study from the UK about “doomsday preppers” and an “American Culture of Fear.” I wrote it with the best of intentions but did not research this thoroughly enough.

It was brought to my attention by a reader who participated in the study that my analysis and interpretation are incorrect and he is sending me the study itself. I will be following up within the next couple of days with a corrected version of this article.

I sincerely apologize to Dr. Mills, the people who participated in the study, and my readers for my misinterpretation. I constantly endeavor to bring you the best information I can and will make this right.
