Brace Yourselves: A 163% Meat Tax Could Be Coming

How would you like to pay a 163% meat tax every time you want a steak or a burger? What about when you want some bacon with breakfast, or when you’re craving a ham sandwich?

After much talk, economists and so-called health experts have finally decided what’s best for society: no steak for you!

Do you think you and your family deserve an extra tax for having a steak every now and then? Well, brace yourselves…because social taxes are what’s for dinner.

Remember when smoking was the only socially engineered target of government health nannies? Then fat, then sugar, then caffeine and now even soda.

The American public has been encouraged to gorge themselves on decadent, calorie-rich food for decades. Now people are being watched with microscopes and being shamed for doing just that. Or rather, for enjoying themselves occasionally because who can even afford steaks now? After all, you are responsible for other people’s healthcare costs.

It looks like the “experts” have finally figured out a way to remove your steak right out from under your forks. By inflicting yet another sin tax on the individual and making lifestyle choices more akin to the austere, Big Brother commands in pure Orwellian 1984 style.

Are you ready to get ascetic?

I didn’t think so!

Why a Meat Tax?

A study published this month states:

The consumption of red and processed meat has been associated with increased mortality from chronic diseases, and as a result, it has been classified by the World Health Organization as carcinogenic (processed meat) and probably carcinogenic (red meat) to humans. One policy response is to regulate red and processed meat consumption similar to other carcinogens and foods of public health concerns. Here we describe a market-based approach of taxing red and processed meat according to its health impacts.

And, “Including the social health cost of red and processed meat consumption in the price of red and processed meat could lead to significant health and environmental benefits,…”

Based on the broad correlation that meat equals death, they calculated “optimal” tax levels to curb meat buying or rather, offset soaring healthcare costs that are caused by the Big Pharma/insurance racket.

Ryan Bourne writes,

The average household in the poorest fifth of the income distribution dedicates 1.3 percent of spending towards [meat]. That’s over double average household spending in the richest quintile. Yet meat is now a new “public health” target.[…]

Last week, a report by University of Oxford academics calculated supposedly “optimal tax rates” on red meat (lamb, beef and pork) and processed meats (sausages, bacon, salami etc.) For the U.S., the recommend rates were as high as 34 percent and 163 percent, respectively. Such taxes, the report claims, could save 52,500 American lives per year.

[…]This research suggests, unbelievably, that 557,000 deaths per year in the U.S. are caused by red and processed meat consumption – over 20 percent of the total. One of its authors has previously suggested everyone must eventually go vegan.

Did you catch that?

To put it in perspective: on meat that now costs $5 per pound, you’d pay either $6.75 or $13.15 per pound, depending on whether it was processed or not.

How would you like to pay a 163% meat tax?

In other words, rich people can keep their steaks, let others eat cake. (Does it sound like this is going to tackle real health issues?)

Bourne notes, “In his 1937 book The Road to Wigan Pier, George Orwell commented that the poor eat “an appalling diet, but the peculiar evil is this, that the less money you have, the less inclined you are to spend it on wholesome food … You want something ‘tasty’.'”

It seems the experts already know this. Phys.org reported in September:

Eating meat is a symbol of power and status, and those who see themselves as having lower socio-economic status prefer meat, and eat more meat, due to this perception, according to new research from Monash University and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

The paper, published this week in the journal Appetite, found participants who rated themselves lower on socio-economic  showed a stronger preference for -based foods compared to participants who rated themselves higher on a socio-economic scale.

These two reports just happened to coincide? And the poor are being punished for their unconscious desire for protein (and power apparently)?

It is unclear if these reports mean an actual law is in the works, but it’s definitely a sign of things to come.

According to Alan Watt, the 1980s book The Third Wave by Alvin Toffler discloses the future agenda to move the world towards veganism, whether they want to or not.

Sin Taxes Never Work

A sin tax or a healthcare tax or a “lifestyle tax” punishes the consumer, usually for something innocuous that they enjoy. It doesn’t help the economy and it doesn’t help increase health. It just makes everyone miserable and poorer. It makes certain people richer and all of it royally puts the screw to hardworking people.

And let me repeat, it doesn’t help the economy!

It may bring in lots of revenue for a few, but a sin tax does not help the economy because people like their little life’s pleasures, especially when they’ve been robbed of big pleasures due to a parasitical government tanking the economy and robbing people blind.

What usually happens is people go to great lengths to get their vices. They even cross borders and send their money to other states or countries. They start making things and selling them in the black market.

Deep down, people know they are getting the shaft. They would just be paying more (punished) for something they enjoy. It’s a double standard that the government should capitalize on the very behavior that they deemed immoral.

Let’s not forget that there is also a lot of personal cost incurred from health problems. It’s not all covered by others.

The Fat Tax That Quickly Got Lipo’ed

A perfect example of a failed sin tax was when Denmark decided to enact a “fat tax” on junk food in 2011. Chocolate, potato chips, cookies, shelf-stable pastries, and the like. It was heralded as a great plan to finally cut obesity rates and extend life.

It was a big fat flop.

Sure, it changed consumer buying habits. Most of them hopped the border and flooded Germany and Sweden with their cash and found out their goodies were cheaper there anyway. The Danish government banished the tax within one year. Smokers do the same thing with nicotine. Instead of hopping borders, they just find other ways to enjoy nicotine.

These taxes usually always fail even when industry scientists tell everyone the tax curbed a “bad behavior.” What they are probably seeing is more of an economic deficit than a change of heart.

People don’t respond well to being punished into their veggies. It’s hard enough to “eat right” as it is. Who wants to be punished into having nothing? It doesn’t make psychological sense and diets are a proven failure for similar reasons.

Another thing that happens is the behavior never stops, so the health nuts of the world pay the full brunt of healthcare costs for the ones who don’t care for themselves, and then they also get taxed should they partake of the devil’s food. Ineffective social costs for everyone!

What Would Be a Better Way to Increase Health in America?

There are all sorts of ways to get Americans to care more about their health and none of them include sin tax and punishment.

  • Stop punishing individuals. (It’s better to reward or incentivize when it comes to forcing people anyway)
  • Stop with moral measurements.
  • Stop manipulating the market with speculations and artificial crop shortages.
  • Stop incentivizing GMOs and punishing organic farms with exorbitant fees.
  • Stop artificially driving down the costs of crap food and raising the costs of produce.
  • Stop removing access to fresh food in poor communities and help find non-forceful ways for SNAP holders to choose healthy foods.
  • Stop giving school cafeteria contracts to low-quality food companies and prepare fresh foods.
  • Bring back parity farming.

Silly Government…Taxes Are for Kids?

The government should learn by now that they cannot legislate social behavior. But, this, my friends is probably part of the bigger plan. By pricing people out of their periodic pleasure, it gets them used to the idea of not having it when the item is finally permanently removed like a blanky or a pacifier.

So actually, the meat tax itself IS part of the social engineering plan.

The greater question here is why are all the health studies, economists, and sustainability fanatics trying to get people to live off of so little? Few calories, no meat, little protein, less consumer goods, tiny spaces, cheap clothing, and don’t even think of having a real hot shower! You’re a total Hitler for using a straw at a restaurant because the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is all your fault and you must be socially aware at all times, even when you’re trying to have fun.

Sort of sounds like Agenda 21 or Agenda 2030 psycho-babble doesn’t it? You know, that plan where all the land, water, animal and crop resources will go to a few, powerful controllers? Hmmmm….

What do you think?

Are taxes on health behaviors warranted? Why or why not? What do you think of a meat tax? Sound off below!

  • Nanny state insanity.

If my cat stops eating meat, she’ll go blind. So, can I eat cat food to avoid the tax?

No, cats are also politically incorrect: they eat birds. Have to tax cats.

    Next up: sex tax?

  • Wait… arent the people who want to impose the meat tax to help people live longer the same people constantly whining about over population and humanities effects on the planet?

If red meat was killing us you’d think they would want to start giving it away…

    • This is not about our Health. This is about AGENDA 21, AGENDA 2030 AND VISION 2050.
Anyone who doesn’t know about these Agenda(s), especially AGENDA 21 which is Phase 1. Obama was picked/placed as U.S. President to SETUP AMERICA for the GLOBAL GOVERNMENT or “One World Government”. That was really Obama’s job the eight years he was in office, and I have to say, he did exactly what the SHADOW GOVERNMENT (Globalist) wanted him to do. I am posting below some Quotes that will explain the MEAT TAX.
Revealing Quotes From the Planners of AGENDA 21
AGENDA 21 is the Globalists and UN Plan to turn America into a “Third World Country” just like China (Communist).
“Agenda 21 proposes an array of actions which are intended to be implemented by EVERY person on Earth…it calls for specific changes in the activities of ALL people… Effective execution of Agenda 21 will REQUIRE a profound reorientation of ALL humans, unlike anything the world has ever experienced… ” Agenda 21: The Earth Summit Strategy to Save Our Planet (Earthpress, 1993). Emphases – DR
“Land…cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth, therefore contributes to social injustice.” From the report from the 1976 UN’s Habitat I Conference.

“Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class – INVOLVING HIGH MEAT INTAKE, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work air conditioning, and suburban housing are not sustainable.” Maurice Strong, Secretary General of the UN’s Earth Summit, 1992.

“Individual rights will have to take a back seat to the collective.” Harvey Ruvin, Vice Chairman, ICLEI. The Wildlands Project

“We must make this place an insecure and inhospitable place for Capitalists and their projects – we must reclaim the roads and plowed lands, halt dam construction, tear down existing dams, free shackled rivers and return to wilderness millions of tens of millions of acres or presently settled land.” Dave Foreman, Earth First.

      What is not sustainable?
Ski runs, grazing of livestock, plowing of soil, building fences, industry, single family homes, paves and tarred roads, logging activities, dams and reservoirs, power line construction, and economic systems that fail to set proper value on the environment.” UN’s Biodiversity Assessment Report.

Hide Agenda 21’s UN roots from the people
“Participating in a UN advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy- fixated groups and individuals in our society… This segment of our society who fear ‘one-world government’ and a UN invasion of the United States through which our individual freedom would be stripped away would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined ‘the conspiracy’ by undertaking LA21. So we call our process something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management or smart growth.” J. Gary Lawrence, advisor to President Clinton’s Council on Sustainable Development.

  • I’m about at the breaking point! We pay politicians and bureaucrats to do specific things; maintain our roads, water systems, basic infrastructure etc. I’m tired of literally paying people that in my opinion are brain dead to regulate my life, tell me what I can and cannot do, should and should not think, what is acceptable to say, eat, ingest, or otherwise utilize in my life. Sooner or later these people are going to push the wrong person too far.

    • “I’m tired of literally paying people that in my opinion are brain dead to regulate my life, tell me what I can and cannot do, should and should not think, what is acceptable to say, eat, ingest, or otherwise utilize in my life.”

Those are usually governmental agencies which have no LAWFUL authority to have been created in the first place. They actually have NO LAWFUL AUTHORITY over what you think, over what you eat, over what you do with your property, over water, air, etc; MOST regulations/regulation agencies are NOT LAWFUL here. Considering most Americans today are so “dumbed down” that they do not even know what type of government we have – NOT a democracy, but is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. The only partially democratic process we have is elections. The difference is that in a constitutional republic the duties of those who serve within our governments are found in writing within the US Constitution and each State’s Constitution! What they must do, what they should do, what they are NOT ALLOWED to do is occasionally mentioned, but mostly, conspicuously not written down – not there is NOT A GOVERNMENTAL power.

Take legislation of all types, WHO can create it/them? Only those who actually serve within the House of Representatives and serve within the Senate, no one else, no agency, etc. What is the “prime directive”/order that they ALL must follow? ALL Legislation MUST be “in Pursuance thereof”, follow the US Constitution.

Gov. Samuel Johnston, North Carolina Ratifying Convention of the U.S. Constitution (1788): “When Congress makes a law in virtue of their constitutional authority, it will be an actual law. I do not know a more expressive or a better way of representing the idea by words. Every law consistent with the Constitution will have been made in pursuance of the powers granted by it. Every usurpation or law repugnant to it cannot have been made in pursuance of its powers. The latter will be nugatory and void (what we call “null and void).”

Thomas Jefferson: “A right to property is founded in our natural wants, in the means with which we are endowed to satisfy these wants, and the right to what we acquire by those means without violating the similar rights of other sensible beings.” (He means all property, not just physical, read the founders on property)

Thomas Jefferson: “Under the law of nature, all men are born free, every one comes into the world with a right to his own person, which includes the liberty of moving and using it at his own will. This is what is called personal liberty, and is given him by the author of nature.”

Judge Thomas M. Cooley: “Legislators have their authority measured by the Constitution, they are chosen to do what it permits, and NOTHING MORE, and they take solemn oath to obey and support it. . . To pass an act when they are in doubt whether it does or does not violate the Constitution is to treat as of no force the most imperative obligations any person can assume.”

James Madison warned us about kind of government that exercises arbitrary power: “That is not a just government, nor is property secure under it, where the property which a man has in his personal safety and personal liberty, is violated by arbitrary seizures…” Essay on Property, 1792 and Madison calls this exercise of arbitrary power, “the most compleat despotism.” (think asset forfeitures which are forbidden in our nation)

CIA Director William Casey: “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false”.
I am the source for this quote, which was indeed said by CIA Director William Casey at an early February 1981 meeting of the newly elected President Reagan with his new cabinet secretaries to report to him on what they had learned about their agencies in the first couple of weeks of the administration.

The meeting was in the Roosevelt Room in the West Wing of the White House, not far from the Cabinet Room. I was present at the meeting as Assistant to the chief domestic policy adviser to the President. Casey first told Reagan that he had been astonished to discover that over 80 percent of the ‘intelligence’ that the analysis side of the CIA produced was based on open public sources like newspapers and magazines.

As he did to all the other secretaries of their departments and agencies, Reagan asked what he saw as his goal as director for the CIA, to which he replied with this quote, which I recorded in my notes of the meeting as he said it. Shortly thereafter I told Senior White House correspondent Sarah McClendon, who was a close friend and colleague, who in turn made it public. Barbara Honegger (end quote)

Mark Twain: “For in a Republic, who is “the country?” Is it the Government which is for the moment in the saddle? Why, the Government is merely a servant – merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn’t. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.”

Daniel Webster: “We may be tossed upon an ocean where we can see no land – nor, perhaps, the sun or stars. But there is a chart and a compass for us to study, to consult, and to obey. That chart is the Constitution.”
And “Is the Constitution worth preserving?” “Then guard it as you would the very seat of your life. Guard it not only against the open blows of violence but also against that spirit of change.”
Plus he also said: “…There is no nation on earth powerful enough to accomplish our overthrow. Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter. From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence. I must confess that I do apprehend some danger. I fear that they may place too implicit a confidence in their public servants, and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct; that in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men, and become the instruments of their own undoing.”

James Wilson, about congressional powers: “I leave it to every gentleman to say whether the enumerated powers are not as accurately and MINUTELY DEFINED, as can be well done on the same subject, in the same language…nor does it, in any degree, go beyond the particular enumeration; for, when it is said that Congress shall have power to make all laws which shall be necessary and proper, those words are LIMITED AND DEFINED by the following, “for carrying into execution the foregoing powers”, it is saying no more than that the powers we have already particularly given (enumerated), shall be effectually carried into execution.”

It was Connecticut’s Roger Sherman who moved that the phrase [general welfare] be added, so McClanahan seeks out Sherman’s view of what constituted the general welfare. In June 1787, Sherman said: “The objects of the Union … were few—first, defence against foreign danger; second, against internal disputes and a resort to force; thirdly, treaties with foreign nations; fourthly, regulating foreign commerce, and drawing revenue from it. … All other matters, civil and criminal, would be much better in the hands of the states.”

Archibald Maclaine said during North Carolina’s ratifying convention: “If Congress should make a law beyond the powers and the spirit of the Constitution, should we not say to Congress, ‘You have no authority to make this law. There are limits beyond which you cannot go. You cannot exceed the power prescribed by the Constitution. You are amenable to us for your conduct. This act is unconstitutional. We will disregard it, and punish you for the attempt.’”

Hamilton himself explained at New York’s ratifying convention that while on the one hand “acts of the United States … will be absolutely obligatory as to all the proper objects and powers of the general government,” at the same time “the laws of Congress are restricted to a certain sphere, and when they depart from this sphere, they are no longer supreme or binding.” In Federalist 33, Hamilton noted that the clause “expressly confines this supremacy to laws made pursuant to the Constitution.”

North Carolina’s ratifying convention, James Iredell told the delegates that when “Congress passes a law consistent with the Constitution, it is to be binding on the people. If Congress, under pretense of executing one power, should, in fact, usurp another, they will violate the Constitution.”

    • Serenabit..IT already happened,A guy who was be screwed out of his house in chicago,Ill,KILLED 23 terrorists, that included the judge, all the police gangs in the court house, and everyone he saw on his way home,Then they came to his house, where he got a haft dozen more of them,HE PUNCHED THEIR TICKET HOME TO THEIR DADDY SATAN..the only sad thing about it was the bus had empty seats when they left…….

    • Captn Jack,
I get what you are saying, as a meat eater.
It is kinda funny if many years from now, historians will note the 2nd Civil War started over taxing bacon.
Sorry, just strikes me as funny.

  • You probably don’t want to hear what I have to say, so I’ll keep it short:

STOP WITH THE HYPED UP FEAR MONGERING BULL SHIT. That is the last thing we need now that our nation is being invaded and Congress is going to try and impeach our president. You know that idea or bill has no way of passing, not in a thousand years, so why do you keep pushing this idiocy ???

    • WE will only be invaded if you, and others, do not CONTROL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES. If your ignorant of how to do so Lawfully, remind them that the Oath they take is a REQUIRED one that comes with legal consequences such as felony(ies) and Perjury(ies). That it is not only the Supreme Law of our nation – meaning that their duties are a LAWFUL requirement of them to do and follow, but a CONTRACT that they not only MUST agree to follow, but to make that contract more legally binding, take an Oath making them PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE for doing so.

The delegated authority is NOT assigned to any particular person who serves within the general government or within state governments – elected, hired, contracted, etc. It is assigned by the US Constitution to the DIFFERENT branches within our government and to some specifically named positions within the general government meaning that those who serve within our government may not sell, trade, share, give away, etc any powers that are assigned to the branch or named office within a branch that those powers are assigned to.

Dr. Vieira, Jr: “This has nothing to do with personalities or subjective ideas. It’s a matter of what the Constitution provides… The government of the United States has never violated anyone’s constitutional rights… The government of the United States will never violate anyone constitutional rights, because it cannot violate anyone’s constitutional rights. The reason for that is: The government of the United States is that set of actions by public officials that are consistent with the Constitution. Outside of its constitutional powers, the government of the United States has no legitimacy. It has no authority; and, it really even has no existence. It is what lawyers call a legal fiction.”

The requirement for all Federal and State Civil officers to give their solemn and binding Oath is established in Article VI, Section 1, Clause 4.

Those that serve within our governments – state and general – are bound by their Oath to support the US Constitution.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

Once given, the Oath is binding for life, unless renounced, refused, and abjured. It does not cease upon the occasions of leaving office or of discharge.

Solemn: “Legally binding, Common legal phrase indicating that an agreement has been consciously made, and certain actions are now either required or prohibited. The other requirement for an agreement or contract to be considered legally binding is consideration – both parties must knowingly understand what they are agreeing to”
      .
Bound: “Being under legal or moral obligation; to constitute the boundary or limit of; to set a limit to; confine”

Legally Binding: Common legal phrase. Lawful action, such as an agreement consciously agreed to by two or more entities, establishing lawful accountability. An illegal action, such as forcing, tricking, or coercing a person into an agreement, is not legally binding. Both parties knowingly understand what they are agreeing to is the other requirement to legally establish an agreement or contract.

Consideration: “Consideration in a contract is a bargained for exchange of acts or forbearance of an act.”

Require, Requirement, Required: Mandated under a law or by an authoritative entity. “To claim or ask for by right and authority; That which is required; a thing demanded or obligatory; something demanded or imposed as an obligation.”

Contract: “An agreement between two or more parties creating obligations that are enforceable or otherwise recognizable at law.”

If any Branch fails to obey the “supreme Law”, then, in order to preserve the Rule of Law, the other Branches, or failing that, the States or the people, must overrule them”.

Federal law regulating oath of office by government officials – state and federal – is divided into four parts along with an executive order that further defines the law for purposes of enforcement.

5 U.S.C. 3331, provides the text of the actual oath of office the three branches of our government, the military, all law enforcement, the heads of the States, all federal employees are required to take before assuming office.

5 U.S.C. 3333 requires the three branches of our government, the military, all law enforcement, the heads of the States, all federal employees sign an affidavit that they have taken the oath of office required by 5 U.S.C. 3331 and have not or will not violate that oath of office during their tenure of office.

18 U.S.C. 1918 provides penalties for violation of oath of office described in 5 U.S.C. 7311 which include: (1) removal from office and; (2) confinement or a fine.

5 U.S.C. 7311 explicitly makes it a federal criminal offense for anyone employed in the United States Government to “advocate the overthrow of our constitutional form of government”.

The definition of “advocate” is further specified in Executive Order 10450 for the purposes of enforcement supplements 5 U.S.C. 7311. Executive Order 10450 provision specifies it is a violation of 5 U.S.C. 7311 for any person taking the oath of office to advocate “the alteration … of the form of the government of the United States by unconstitutional means.”

It is important to realize that our form of government is defined by the Constitution of the United States. That according to Executive Order 10450 and 5 U.S. 7311 any act taken by government officials who have taken the oath of office prescribed by 5 U.S.C. 3331 which alters the form of government other then by amendment, is a criminal violation of the 5 U.S.C. 7311.

Brookfield Construction Company V. Stewart 284 F Sup. 94: “An officer who acts in violation of the constitution ceases to represent the government.”

BTW, always research things on your own so that you know them to be true. A few of the Laws are older, say 60’s – 80’s.

    • Rumplestiltskin

How right you are. This idea keeps getting trotted out every few years and as of yet, NO government has done anything about it. Fear mongering at its finest.

Those with short memories fall for this every single time.

    • Whether this particular scenario may or may not be imminent, I think, is a non-issue. The real lessons gleaned from what you call “hyped up fear mongering” is simply to note these as signs along the way. We don’t follow every sign along our routes when we travel; however, the prudent person notes their existence, perhaps unconciously, in the event one must have to back track later and recall where the path diverged. I would much rather be cognizant that these roads are within the realm of possibility than find myself utterly lost further on for lack of awareness.

  • “… it has been classified by the World Health Organization…”

First, all powers that those who SERVE WITHIN our government have are DELEGATED to the different branches and to named offices within a branch only from the states, plus FOUND IN WRITING – state and federal- in the Constitutions. Those powers/authority is NOT delegated to a person who serves within it, but to the branch or office and those may be used as long as the person is doing what is required of that position, takes and KEEPS the constitutionally required Oath for ALL governmental positions.

Federal Crop Ins. Corp v. Merrill, 332 U. S. 380, 384 (1947): “Whatever the form in which the Government functions, anyone entering into an arrangement with the Government takes the risk of having accurately ascertained that he who purports to act for the Government stays within the bounds of his authority. The scope of this authority may be explicitly defined by Congress or be limited by delegated legislation, properly exercised through the rulemaking power [US Constitution being supreme Law that all legislation is REQUIRED to be in Pursuance thereof in order to be Lawful and binding on the American people/on our nation, plus each state’s Constitution is the highest Law of that state].”

Second, the W.H.O. has NO LAWFUL authority here in the USA; NOR should anyone who serves within our governments be consulting 2ith foreign nations foreign entities over what will happen within OUR governments; nor should they be running “studies” (usually biased for a purpose) on areas/things/etc NOT under their Lawful jurisdiction as those powers belong either to the state governments to the PEOPLE themselves to have done. Below is a list of powers, responsibilities delegated to the three different branches and to the constitutionally named offices within a branch of the federal gov.

    Fed delegated powers:
    — Military defense, international commerce & relations;
    — Control Immigration & Naturalization of new citizens;
    — Domestically, to create a Uniform Commercial System: Weights & Measures, Patents & Copyrights, Money based on gold & silver, Bankruptcy Laws, Mail delivery & some Road Building;
    — Plus with some of the amendments, secure certain civil rights.
*As stated in the 10th Amendment, all other powers are reserved by the States in their Constitutions OR The People retained them to decide for themselves.

Third, and most important for all to realize this is how they take our property and control all of it.
They have been removing the people from, and taking their ranches, etc. Remember, control the food and water, control the people. They are shutting down all individual livelihoods that provide food, water. Feel free to research this as it is Agenda 21 (whatever number they may now use, and it IS *treasonous, **terroristic actions on the part of those who serve within and implement those color of law, pretend law where they have NO DELEGATED authority.

Are you aware that the *federal government is NOT allowed to own land beyond that mentioned within the US Constitution. That our governments – state and federal – were created to PROTECT our RIGHTS and PROPERTY of ALL types even from themselves, not to control them?

They (feds) own and control Washington DC which is where they “exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever”… “not exceeding ten Miles square”, plus “exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards and other needful Buildings;”. That is the ONLY property the federal government is ALLOWED to own, and those are the ONLY PURPOSES for which it may own/purchase to own property.

Look for what your own delegated State powers within your state Constitution. [It is also important to realize that when voting for amendments, they do change your state’s Constitution, and those who serve within your state government do NOT give up powers easily, so NEVER vote those amendments in until you have read the COMPLETE change for yourself and agree to give up YOUR own power over what you/family/etc d/etc.

“Three Rights” by Dr. Edwin Vieira, Jr., pages 6, 7: “The assertion” “We The People of the United States * * * do ordain and establish this Constitution” enounces a right, a privilege, and a power to constitute a “government”. It emphasizes that this “government” did not “ordain and establish” itself, and that public officials did not “ordain and establish” either their own offices or the authority of those offices …”

*Treason – Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution of the United States provides: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Three elements must be present for an offense to constitute treason:
    — an Obligation of Allegiance to the legal order,
    — Intent to go against or attempt/start to change in an unlawful manner,
    — and then Action to violate that obligation.
Treason (Section 2385) and Misprision of Treason (Section 2382)

**28 C.F.R. Section 0.85 Terrorism is defined as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives”.
Section 802 (Title 18), “Domestic Terrorism” is defined as involving “acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State;” which “appear to be intended–to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (or) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion”.

Color of Law: “The appearance or semblance, without the substance, of legal right. Misuse of power, possessed by virtue of state law and made possible only because wrongdoer is clothed with authority of state, is action taken under “color of law.” Black’s Law Dictionary, Fifth Edition, page 241.

The only crimes assigned to the federal government in the Constitution for law enforcement purposes are Treason, Piracy, Counterfeiting, and International law violations.

John C. Calhoun’s 1831 “Fort Hill Address”: “The error is in the assumption that the General Government is a party to the constitutional compact. The States, as has been shown, formed the compact, acting as Sovereign and independent communities. The General Government is but its creature;” See: https://thementalmilitia.net/2017/02/08/john-c-calhoun-fort-hill-address-1831/

Bertrand Russell,1953: “… Diet, injections, and injunctions will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible…” (“The Impact of Science on Society”, Simon and Schuster, New York, 1953)

  • What are they, intellectual eggheads, going to suggest we tax next?
Water consumption (more so than it currently is)?
    Farting?
That Starbucks Caramel Brulée Latte, dry, lemon twist and two pumps of whales milk?
(ok, I would be fine with that last one)

I think we should be able to eat whatever ya dang well please (except dogs or cats).
Then, you have to take a full blown physical, twice a year. And then your health insurance care/costs reflect the results accordingly. Eat junk food, dont exercise, smoke, your rates are higher.
Eat decent, exercise on a regular basis, dont smoke, drink in moderation, and the blood work, your weight, reflect that, you pay lower rates.
Give an additional incentive: volunteer to take a physical, cardio test, like a 5k. If you score well adjusted for your age, twice a year, your rates are even lower.

I agree with some others: eggheads! Stop trying to regulate peoples choices! We do not need 1984 coming to our dinner table!

  • Time to invest in a deep freezer so we can buy half or a quarter of a cow/pig to avoid their taxes all together. Especially if it is from an Amish Co-Op and we are part owners in the cow/pig.

  • The author doesn’t even state the taxing authority he’s talking about. I didn’t even discover from the article what country, or state he was writing about. I raise beef for sale.

  • Go ahead, make my day. Farmers and ranchers will revolt. Consumers will revolt. The black market will thrive. No worries. I worry more about a water consumption tax. Water Wars are coming. You can eat grass and pine nuts to survive, but without water…You’re dead!

  • I’d rather die with a piece of steak in my mouth. Who are these holier than thou people that think they have any say on what I choose to eat. I was born a meat eater.

  • AMERICANS are way to far gone ,their mind quit working years ago,now their just walking dead, some one needs to bury them, and as I hear IT WILL BE THE RUSSIANS AND CHINESE who will be given that job,of course they get everything you own at the end of the day,So their very motivated,to kill the stupidest people in the history of the world, heres a word to the wise,YOU DON’T need to be a rocket scienist to see a WAR coming,SO get close to the LORD ,your going to be meeting him here shortly, and YOU better pray he knows you.HIS NAME IS YAHUSHUA……….

  • 1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
    1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1Ti 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

  • These Sa’tanic Goons will spend Eternity w/no water to quench their thirst nor any food to stuff their belly’s – in other words, they’ll be lacking in anything Good – Yes, they Will be Gnashing their teeth for Ever – Remember the Biblical story about the rich man & the poor peasant?!
The Word of God is Alive & True, we all can bet our eternity’s on it – Only Jesus can Save a soul from the eternal lake of Fire!

Excellent book written by a former editor of the Chicago Tribune (Lee Strobel) “The Case For Christ” He (Stobel) was an atheist until he did some investigating – I too have done some investigating and w/hands down, Christ Jesus Is who HE claims!

Yes, John 3:16 still says it all! What an awesome forgiving Creator God, WOW!

  • The dunderheads in California tried the “snack tax” soda, chips, ice cream etc. It failed miserably. The retailers couldn’t figure it out. If you went into a convenience store for ice cream (pint sized) you were taxed. If you went to a grocery store and bought a half gallon you were not. But if you bought a pint at the grocery you were. Idiotic. Thankfully it didn’t last.

  • Of course, you’re right, Meadow – taxing non-foods doesn’t work particularly well. A better way of achieving a similar effect as taxing animal products would be for the US Department of Agriculture to stop subsidizing our steaks and burgers so that they’re artificially cheap and to let market forces determine their real cost/price. $20 a burger? For the past half-century, roughly 80% of all US government subsidies, about 60 billion dollars a year now, several trillion dollars in total, have gone to meat, egg and dairy producers; while less than half of 1% goes to fruit, vegetable, nut and seed growers each year. Although those of us who’re animal-eaters shouldn’t be victimized with taxes, why should the animals we eat cost us far less to buy than what they cost the subsidized corporations who feed us to produce?

  • More than ever people need to be more self reliant: Grow, harvest or hunt your meat and proteins.

Funny how socialists used to at least pretend to be for “the people”. Now they just want to control, regulate and de-populate openly.
