Are We Facing a Future Where Life Only Goes “Back to Normal” for Rich People?

As jobs and businesses vanish, and prices go up, Americans could soon face another expense – the expense of proving that they’re “healthy.”

While the government tells us that the Covid vaccinations are going to be “free,” are they really? Let’s take a look.

How much will it actually cost to get vaccinated against Covid?

While the government is paying for the vaccine itself, it will still cost money for most people to get injected with it.

However, providers will be able to bill you an administrative fee for giving the shot to patients, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

This would be similar to paying a charge when you visit the doctor’s office, or for specialized vaccine delivery, such as infusion, a process in which a substance — like medication, a chemotherapy drug or hydration — enters the bloodstream intravenously.

If you don’t have insurance, the medical provider you used should be reimbursed for any COVID-19 treatment you receive through the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund, at no cost to you.

…If you receive a bill for administration fees, it’s still unclear whether or not those will be covered in full. It’s a good idea to contact your local provider or health insurance company for more details on whether you’ll be charged additional fees before receiving a vaccine. It might be that you have more than one option for immunization, including finding a medical provider that would give you the vaccine free of charge, or offer a more straightforward approach to reimbursement if you’re charged. (source)

So it’s kind of free, sort of, unless somebody charges you but then you might be able to get your money back. Multiply by your number of family members.

And what about all the apps for proving you’ve gotten vaccinated? Will that be government-funded or will people pay a few bucks to the app store to download it onto their smartphones? What about people who don’t have phones? What about those who can no longer afford phone service?

I think it’s pretty easy to see that this could become an escalating expense for some and completely unaffordable for others. If you’ve never been in a position where an added $5 expense could make or break your grocery bill, then it may be difficult for you to understand how tough this could be on families who have suddenly found themselves living in ever-deepening poverty.

How will you manage if you can’t prove that you’re covid-free?

Soon, all sorts of businesses and services may require people to prove that they don’t have covid with a recent test (probably not a free one once people are doing the tests for recreational purposes) or proof of vaccination.

But that’s not all. Schools and workplaces may make proof of health mandatory as well. So what happens if you can’t afford your vaccine or documentation? Does that mean your kids can’t go to school and that you can’t go to work? What if you’ve been out of work for months but to get a new job, you must show your proof of health and/or vaccination?

And what about public transit? I’m not talking about flights to Europe – I’m talking about taking the bus or an Uber so you can get to work? What about entering stores? As private businesses, they have the right to choose those with whom they do business as long as discrimination can’t be proven. How can a poor person get from Point A to Point B if they can’t afford vaccination and proof of vaccination?

Who needs a social credit system when you can just shut down entire sectors of society because they can’t provide proof they’ve gotten their shots? You know, like the little rabies tag your dog gets for his collar after he’s vaccinated by the vet.

The transfer of wealth has been enormous…and will continue to be.

Covid and the subsequent government restrictions have all but wiped out the middle class, sweeping millions of formerly financially comfortable families into debt and poverty as they struggle to survive. Countless businesses have collapsed under the weighty mandates. Chapter 11 Bankruptcies are up by 48% this year. Meanwhile, enormous corporations like Walmart, Home Depot, and Amazon have seen soaring profits.

Jim Cramer, a financial analyst for CNBC calls it one of the greatest transfer of wealth in history.

The coronavirus pandemic and corresponding lockdown made way for “one of the greatest wealth transfers in history,” CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Thursday.

The stock market is rising as big business rebounds from state-ordered stoppage of nonessential activity, while small businesses drop like flies, the “Mad Money” host said.

“The bigger the business, the more it moves the major averages, and that matters because this is the first recession where big business … is coming through virtually unscathed, if not going for the gold,” he added. (source)

Cramer believes that the recovery of the stock market has little or nothing to do with the recovery of the economy at large – for which his outlook is grim. Although he supports another stimulus package for small businesses, it’s unlikely to be enough.

“The companies that took the money just got a big break: they only need to spend 60% on their employees to get the loans forgiven, down from the original 75%. That’s important, as most small businesses fail because they can’t afford to pay the rent,” Cramer said.

“But, in the end, the stimulus package probably won’t be enough, for one simple reason,” he said. “It’s not going to work because of social distancing.” (source)

And he’s right – what good will paying the rent do (aside from short-term good for the property owner) if nobody is allowed to patronize the business due to more government-mandated shutdowns?

What happens next?

As these giant companies rake in the profit and Mom & Pop businesses go under, what happens next? Finding a job right now is next to impossible and it will soon be even harder as the second wave of lockdowns intensifies. More businesses will go under. More jobs will disappear.

And then the much-vaunted vaccine will arrive to save the day (also making a hefty profit for Big Pharma – don’t leave them out when you think about this transfer of wealth.) It’ll save the day for those who can afford it, anyway. And for those who can afford to prove they’ve gotten it.

The rollout of the vaccine isn’t going to happen overnight either. There are over 330 million people in the US, but Pfizer says it expects to send the US 25 million doses by the end of 2020, or enough to vaccinate about 12.5 million Americans, as each recipient will need two doses. That’s roughly the populations of New York City and Los Angeles combined. Moderna, which has a similar type of vaccine as Pfizer, says it will be able to make about 15 million vaccine doses at first, which can treat 7.5 million people (again, two shots per person). (source)

Poor folks aren’t going to go straight to the front of the line. As it stands, senior government officials are at the front of the line, then healthcare workers, then employees and residents of nursing homes. Next will be essential workers, those with comorbidities, and the elderly. Each state’s governor will decide the pecking order. Dr. Anthony Fauci says that the ordinary person shouldn’t expect a vaccination until April, May, or June of 2021.

Oh – or if you have the option of making a $25,000 donation to a hospital, you might be able to bump the line and get your vaccination before the peons do.

So don’t expect all this to happen quickly. Don’t expect the jobs to come back, the businesses to reopen, and life to return to normal when the calendar flips to 2021.

And unless you’re rich, you might not ever see that pre-covid normal again.

What do you think?

Do you expect a lot of hidden costs to prove that you are healthy and “safe” to be out in society? Do you think that upcoming restrictions will widen the gap between the rich and the poor? Share your thoughts in the comments.

  • So have we sunk so low that even if we have already gotten immunized against Covid-19 — with an already proven, dirt cheap, safe to use preventative like ivermectin (or a few others) — because our remedy has not been approved by Big Pharma with their monopolistic high dollar, deadly side effects laden, poorly tested, protected from legal liability for disability or death, tracking chip containing vaccine, we are not to be allowed to participate in western civilization via travel, shopping, community, family, etc?

Is this not barbaric rule by fascism (to use Mussolini’s word) where the mega-corporations get to pull all the most profitable strings in any country?

If you are shocked at the revelation that inexpensive and already proven preventatives already exist (despite the lamestream media’s efforts to either demonize or suppress awareness of them altogether), look at the notes below that are very fresh as of this December of 2020:

    • Lewis,
thank you for these links. I agree with you and would add that this not only impacts Western civilization but the entire world. This is a global shut down and depending on your faith base, most Christians feel it is fast paving the way for the anti-Christ.

  • I think this centralization crazyness is reaching the apex, and soon people will start revolting. It won´t take long at this pace. UK is already a prison. We´re being pushed, pressed, it´s a giant 4th turning breaking-point test.

This disease as bad as it may be, it´s more of an excuse than anything else. I mean, of course the politics and the ruling elites don´t care for our health. They never have, what makes someone think all this shit being done to “save us”, for “our good”?

But there´s a limit, and once we reach the tipping point – no money, no job, no freedom – all hell will break loose. Because then too many people won´t have anything left to lose anyway.

    • Fabian O.,

I wish I had your optimism about people getting fed up with this crap. So many of the folks I meet or know (unless they are preppers and get their news from alternative sources) believe EVERY bit of what mean stream media spoon feeds them. You would not believe the “they are just trying to make sure we are safe” comments I hear and the folks who have been on lock down in other states since March and don’t have a problem with the increasingly draconian feudal lords. These folks have college degrees and buy the narrative. My head spins!!!

      • I agree wholeheartedly. I’ve tried countless times to convince normally intelligent people of the contradictions, fake news, and downright lies we are being subject to. Brick Wall isn’t in it . Direct them to legitimate and eminent sources and they just call you a conspiracy theorist, if they bother to respond at all. No, you’re right Marti, the shutters are up, no one is listening.
The saddest thing is, there’s no where to go, no escape.

    • @Fabian O,
Went to a big box store today. Saw more than a few people walking around without masks.
I see that as a encouraging sign.

Today, read an article about small biz restaurants in New York City, tell gov Cuomo to F-off! with his latest rounds of shut downs. The backlash from Cuomo shutting down a local bar was significant.

However, as Marti points out below, the only places you will read about this kind of push back is alt-media.
Otherwise it is MSM hysteria, pushing the narrative, or self-censoring real analysis.
I did hear today National Pravda Radio, gov Cuomo wanted the Federal government to stop incoming flights from the UK to stop the spread of the “new” strain of COVID19. I recall someone wanted to do the same back in FEB but flights from China . . . he got called a xenophobe.

      • @ 1stMarineJarHead and @Marti…. actually that’s a very ominous prediction, of course I don’t have a crystal ball so it’s not really a prediction but every single time something like this happened throughout history, it ended BADLY. It ended in revolution (if the powers-that-be lose control) or war (if they somehow manage to channel this energy to a common enemy, internal or foreign).

Sure the majority of people are in some stage of either denial or acceptance. The system is starting to show some cracks but for the most part it is still functional. The governments can still cover up, give money, keep things moving and giving some sense of normalcy or hope that things go back to normal.

But that’s fo now. If the situation get worse or we reach a tipping point anywhere (supply chain, finance and economic system, etc.) it will be a domino. Everything is so fragile now. I hope this doesn’t happen of course. But it’s weird out there. And there’s just so much they can do and cover even with all the power they have.

        • People will continue to sit on their hands and do nothing as long as “bread and circuses” are provided and they have what they think is an acceptable level of comfort. Now that the comfort level of an increasing portion of the population is beginning to show signs of declining I think we will start witnessing more push back against this medical tyranny now ruining people’s lives while those on the inside vaccum up more and more wealth for themselves.

  • I see a problem with the “wealth shift”. At some point in time, the rich and corporations are going to start feeling the pinch when “normal” people can’t buy anything from the stores like we used to. Mega corporations like ComCast, Microsoft, Facebook, Twitter, any cell phone company, any auto maker, Walmart, Amazon, Home Depot, etc will be feeling the BIG pinch when people can no longer afford TV, internet, vehicles, computers, etc. They will soon find that their wealth shift was NOT what they thought it was going to be. The rich can’t get richer if there isn’t anybody buying their goods. This would include Hollywood because people will not be able to afford to see any of their movies unless they were on free TV….. like the antenna in the window type free TV.

    • I sometimes wonder if they care. I think they care more about power and control. They aren’t like us and don’t have any empathy for everyday people and I think they even despise us.

  • It’s amazing anyone would equate getting a vaccine, which may or may not work with health.

Vaccines are notorious for only working part of the time. In other words, if 100 people get a vaccine, some number considerably less than 100 will develop immunity because of it. Outbreaks of measles, pertussis, etc occur in vaccinated populations ALL THE TIME.

The real way to be healthy is to NOT rely on vaccines, which even when they do work, WEAR OFF AFTER A COUPLE YEARS OR SO.

You can have a strong immune system based on your dietary and other lifestyle choices. Getting the right nutrients, enough sleep, avoiding toxins, exercising, and more factors go into how strong your immune system will be. Rely on that, not frequently-faulty and temporary (when they work) vaccines.

    • @Steve Quinn,
Now there is something you dont hear much about in MSM: “You can have a strong immune system based on your dietary and other lifestyle choices. Getting the right nutrients, enough sleep, avoiding toxins, exercising, and more factors go into how strong your immune system will be.”
      Nope.
      “VACCINE!VACCINE!VACCINE!” the MSM shills cry.

    • SO TRUE. Especially the part about building your immune system. I used to get colds all the time – when I was stressed out and ate like crap. I eat well now, exercise, sleep fairly well, lost a bunch of weight, and manage my stress a little better at least. Wouldn’t you know it? Even before I was put under lockdown I hardly ever got colds, even in an office environment. Had Covid twice and kicked its butt both times in under three days each time. This probably reads like a testimonial for some exotic herb or something but nopw.

  • I think it’s all madness, it’s like kicking someone when they are already down. We have another outbreak (tiny in fact) and it’s caused all the boarders to be closed again. Just as small businesses were struggling to get back to work. But the wheels of big business blaze ahead. What about this new strain they are talking about, will the big pharma vaccines work against it ??
And the stress of it all , suicide rate has risen very quickly among those who were struggling this could be the last straw. Kindnesses costs nothing so if you can lend a hand do it you could make someone’s day, even just a smile.
I’m not in a fantastic financial position but I knew a mum who was close to her personal edge so I paid for her taxi to and from the hospital so she could get tested with her kids , the daycare wasn’t allowing her children back without the results . That meant no work for her and no rent money. Even though life is tight sometimes you have to help. The consequences are much worse. They were negative and she made rent .

  • My immediate thought is not whether we can afford it, but why would we want to? Then I read the comments below and I see (gratefully) that others who are well informed, and more articulate than I, have covered that quite well! Yay! Thanks for all you do, Daisy.

  • The smallpox vaccine was introduced in 1798, and the last naturally occurring case was in 1977. I guess we should just be patient. LOL! I told my family this past weekend that the only way I will take the vaccine is if they make me unconscious and force it on me. I will fight to my very last breath against this travesty that the elites are pushing on regular citizens. There are video’s of Sadiq Khan (the mayor of London) and an Australian minister of parliament both getting the vaccine, but when you look closely the cap is still over the needle when the vaccine is “administered.” Good for Thee, not for Me!

History shows us that when populations become unjustly oppressed for a long period of time they revolt. When this happens, it rarely works out for the oppressors because the citizens have nothing to lose.

  • But take heart trumpers.. he got his wish to make business lunches, aka the 3 martini lunch, 100% tax deductible. Might put the rich folks in a better mood .

We’ll see if what is left of the middle class can survive the poor federal COVID-19 response. And we should all hope the vaccine works for the mutation/new strain (singular for now).

  • Although we are talking about the vaccine, I am not sure that will matter.
I am seeing a lot more tough talk about Civil war or something similar, on sites that did not even mention such stuff during Obama’s reign. The fear of Reprisal or arrest seems to be no longer there.
So I think it is a lot more on people’s mind than we think and they don’t seem afraid to talk about it openly. Which says a lot.
I think we are near a tipping point and a mandatory vaccination or “papers please” enforcement program, might just push it over the edge. So I would not count on a “New normal”.

  • I would like someone to explain testing to me. If you are not sick, why test? And f you get a negative result, what is to say you don’t contract the virus as soon as you leave the testing facility. So do we constantly test? I am all for getting tested if you are ill but not too sure about non symptomatic folks. And by the way, the airlines pack you in and then when they bring you your peanuts and Diet Coke, you take off that mask – you are definitely not social distancing but yet restaurants and small businesses are restricted capacity.

Yes, we are living in a haves versus have nots situation.

  • If TPTB have their way, things will never go back to anything even remotely approaching normal. Of course, that has been their plan all along.
Some people are fighting back. Will more people join in? Will it be enough?
Check back in a year or so, ‘assuming’ this site and others like it are still around.

  • America is the greatest and freest nation on this planet and the rich deserve every penny they steal USA USA USA!

  • It’s interesting how despite “cells from aborted fetuses” the Vatican ‘approved’ the moral use for Catholics. And despite containing “pork” or gelatin from pigs the Muslim leadership determined it’s benefit outweighs the concern. Last I saw in the news the Jewish leadership has yet to determine if non-kosher vaccines containing pork can be considered ‘kosher’ for this purpose.
Not only are governments pushing it- but religions are ‘getting over’ some rules/moral convictions that they have strongly held for centuries. How much sway do world governments have over leadership of the worlds top religions.. Notably if the Jews, Muslims, and Catholics and Christians didn’t vaccinate the world could not reach any kind of ‘herd immunity’ numbers. So they ‘need’ these groups to get it (despite any religious moral beliefs they might hold) or it isn’t possible to vaccinate a high enough population.
I was surprised to read the Catholic church was ok with aborted fetus cells, but the next story I was surprised the Muslims were suddenly ok with Swine. Its a weird world these days.
Covidism might be a new religion on the block.

    • Swan, Jewish leadership has long approved the use of non kosher ingredients since the benefits outweigh religous concerns. That is why rabbis approve the use of a pigs aorta to replace a messed up human valve. However, I’ve heard nothing from them about this. I’ll check

  • I am truly jaw drop aghast at how many sheeple there are out there. Ppl I thought had at least a lick of sense are buying the propaganda hook line and sinker. I told DH today that I should probably start looking for another job since the EEOC came out with their statement that businesses could mandate employee vaccination basically without recriminations. (and the dumba** said he’d take the vax despite all I as a medically trained person has told him–he will NOT be taking it as far as I am concerned) But what options would I have since small local businesses are falling like flies, ‘chains’ will end up being the only employers. So everyone who is still employed has a decision to make, where to draw their line in the sand. I am nowhere near enough prepared to withstand the loss of income. We will be homeless and without income. That scares me. But not as much as the vaccine does. I am drawing my line in the sand. I refuse to submit.

  • Not sure about additional costs added to these Covid vaccines- potentially. I believe they will not be egregious because as we know the Biden/Harris administration is friend of the common working man/woman right?

Also I get some in the hospitality/ entertainment industries are suffering in the pandemic but I have to say all of my circle of friends and former customers of mine are doing quite well. No job layoffs or pay cuts for them. In fact hiring in my area ( SE Wisconsin) is doing quite well. Point is economic times are good or bad depending on your industry/ field/ vocation.

  • If anyone is unsure over how our “leaders” feel about us one only has to read of how the House just approved a “COVID Releif Bill” and where all the money is going. Through malfeasance, incompetence, corruption, and outright theft of the nation’s wealth congress has abrogated any right or authority to make laws, allocate funding, or continue to pretend to represent those who sent them to the hog trough of congress.

  • I’m concerned the vaccine has some other possibilities.

An article out this month called “In Loving Memory of Freedom 1945-2019” by economic analyst Clive Maund.

Interested in any opinions on it.

  • This is what I think,: government is pushing an already pissed off population to the brink. What with what many people believe is a stolen election, lockdowns, job loss, people losing their homes and kicked to the gutter, massive paranoia over a virus, having to pay for medical care which is supposed to be free, and growing political divide ,divide between rich and poor, yes, I would be concerned about all the guns out there, too. Only when the big bang occurs, and bullets start flying all over the place, I will be on the sdelines, quietly cheering the mob on. Because the powers that be will deserve it,every single one of them. I’m going to harden my heart, and swallow my tears, turn my face away from them

  • Off the phone with VA. They’re closed !! Seems they get the day before and actual holiday off. I just wanted to get some ivermectin . They will call me back on Monday. Hows that for government ?
